M Cha Bar is a relatively new bubble tea shop between Finch and North York Centre. They also serve up coffee, gelato, and some neat little snacks too (sandwiches and croissants). I tried their Pistachio Frappe (+ taro balls) and Peachy Dream (comes with crystal boba, aloe vera, and mini tapioca pearls). Their toppings are small in size which is perfect -- no more battling with stubborn taro/tapioca stuck in the straw! The Pistachio Frappe was a bit on the sweeter side, but the Peachy Dream (0% sugar) was perfect. Service was swift and informative (did you know "QQ" toppings vary by drink? I didn't so now I know!). The space itself is warm, inviting, and immaculately clean. Only bummer? They were out of Chestnut Bliss. Guess it's just another reason to go back.

Came during grand opening promo, of course to take advantage of the BOGO offer. Their IG post said purchases get a BOGO voucher but seems they decided to just offer BOGO. Got a matcha creme brulee slush/smoothie. It doesn't specify what type of drink it is, but I would assume it's a smoothie since it wasn't packed full of ice. The ice and sugar levels are fixed, but they don't add extra sugar. Flavour was good: matcha was bitter and balanced by the sweetness of the creme brulee. I particularly enjoy that they don't do that "sweet matcha" business that some places do; if I'm looking for sweet there are many alternatives to choose from. Small place but still has decent number of seating. Also they have gelato.

I wanna say friends got together and opened this place I was annoyed by having to wait almost 10 minutes for my drink BUT the 10 minutes were worth it. I got that pistachio frappe and my sister for the strawberry something. Soo good honestly! Nothing like bubble tea but so unique in flavours. Made up for waiting the extra time. They're definitely on the pricey end in terms of drinks but the quality was worth it, especially during a hot day. The employees are nice and willing to help where needed. The place itself is sorta cute. Will seat maybe 10-15 comfortably.

This Cha Bar on Yonge Street is relatively new. It used to be a cheesecake dessert place, but Cha Bar has taken over. It's a fantastic spot for studying, offering a quiet and intimate atmosphere. Although the three items we initially wanted were sold out (Matcha Latte, Taro Coconut, and Mango Pomelo), so we settled for the Ice Coconut Latte, which turned out to be delicious. The person who helped us was really honest on why all the things we chose were sold out. I like the honesty. I really enjoyed it and would certainly return!

#2 Peachy Dream is probably one of my favourites here and their 1 litre fruit drinks are definitely worth trying!

This location is definitely so much better than their other locations! Not sure if it's just personal preference or different tastebuds but I like milk tea with stronger tea and M Cha in North York makes them just right! They also have affagato and gelato here so will definitely try this next time! Friendly staff hut the lines can get busy and please would be nice if there was a some signage for customers to watch their step when exiting because customer can easily sprain your ankle while they leave (just for safety) :)

Brown sugar park milk tea with mousse.

I came here on Sunday to get their daily special, the brown sugar pearl milk tea with mousse. I thought it was a great deal because you get a large size bubble tea for just $4.99! I've never had a bubble tea with mousse before. It was creamy and delicious. Kind of like drinking butter beer. I would probably go for half sweet next time though since I found the drink to be a bit too sweet with the brown sugar pearls and the mousse. The only downside was that the pearls were a bit overbooked and soggy... This was by first time coming here since the cheese garden (the previous place) closed down. The seating and decor is very similar. Bright and clean with limited seating. The server was friendly and approachable. I'll definitely try this place again!

I genuinely think this place has the most underrated & DELICIOUS gelato in the GTA. This is also coming from someone who has tried the most popular spots downtown & elsewhere. The quality is unmatched, pricing per portion is reasonable, and half of their flavors rotate according to what's in season so it's hard to get bored! Dairy & non dairy options are available as well. The texture is smooth, creamy, not overly sweet, and made in-house with high quality ingredients you can taste. You can sample max 2 flavors & also buy their products pre-portioned to take home or give as a gift. In my opinion they've got the best TRUE pistachio gelato of you're into that. Some notable flavors I've tried that I highly recommend are yogurt, yuzu cheesecake, blueberry, and asian pear. I also love that they give you a little waffle cone shard if you order a cup.

Both locations are pretty consistent, although sometimes one will have a special or rotating flavour that the other doesn't. The shop itself is small, so expect a bit of a line, but it moves quickly. The staff are always friendly, and they let you sample up to two flavours. This time we ordered a cup with raspberry and dark chocolate, and another cup with just dark chocolate. The dark chocolate is hands down one of the most decadent chocolate gelatos I've ever had. It's incredibly rich, creamy, and intensely chocolatey without being overly sweet. Will FOREVER rave about this flavour!!!!The raspberry paired so well with it too--it gave me chocolate-covered fruit vibes with the perfect balance of tart and decadent. I also love the atmosphere here. Between the music and the overall vibe, it really feels like you've stepped into a little gelateria in Italy. Their menu is very straight forward, the staff are friendly and will answer any questions you may have about the menu. I ordered 1 scoop of their Vegan Cookie Dough, which isn't actually "ice cream" (I thought it would be "ice cream" but made out of a dairy alternative). I'm not sure what it's made of as they don't put a description in the store or on the website. It was made well; not dry but on the crumbly side. They also offer vegan ice cream bars that seem more promising. Le Rocher is exactly what you expect it to be. It tasted pretty good, it had a strong hazelnut flavour. Their hard scoops (not pictured) were mediocre, typical scoops from any ice cream shop. TLDR; the scoops aren't anything special, but still yummy nonetheless.

Zack's Chocolate gives off that vibe as one of these small snack shack places filled with nostalgia. Zack's is owned by an elderly couple that sells chocolate, chocolate covered treats and ice cream. It really feels like an old school toned down version of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. One thing that is very enticing about Zack's is that they offer an array of soft serve ice cream flavours. They offer your typical chocolate, vanilla and more interesting ones like blueberry cheesecake, lemon, etc. My review is solely based on a chocolate and vanilla swirl ice cream that I had there. It was really tempting to get some of the different flavours but as they claimed to be a chocolatier I opted for a very conservative chocolate swirl. The verdict? It's a solid soft serve ice cream... at $3. Probably not price competitive with the big boys. I would say it's a teeny tiny bit less creamy than the McDonald's or Costco soft serve. But given the place being a chocolatier but the soft serve not any more chocolatety than other places, it's a bit disappointing. If I'm in the area I would not be opposed to trying some of their chocolate treats but I would not go out of the way to head to Zack's unless you have some nostalgic attachment to this place.
