    Bubbletea and wheel cake
    Natasza O.

This is a sought after bubbletea place. I discovered them years ago and always thought it totally sucked their location was a trainride away. I guess if Formocha were any closer my money may be spent far more quicker than it currently is. So, this is a treat place, I like to visit when I am in the area. This last visit was a nice one, accompanied by my mom we got a wheel cake each and she got a ginger tea which she was over the moon happy with. I purchased a taro milk tea, I think, although the memory escapes me. Service, is usually good. Albeit a bit backed up at times because of how busy they often get. This last visit, I saw one of the staff behind the counter take a sip of their bubbletea and it appeared like a small sip. This is not at all being mentioned to get anyone in trouble**1.) Lucky, I thought to work in a bubbletea shop & have access to bubbletea, seemingly at your fingertips. 2.) How people are able to have enough self discipline to only small sip at their bubbletea beverages, I will not understand. I know they are a specialty drink and deserve to be savoured, yet that just aint me, I drink mine like water. That is to say, pretty quickly. The space inside is always warm. Depending on when you go seating may be full or may be empty. I judge a place often times by their washroom. This may be odd, yet if your washroom is properly up kept and cleaned, chances are the rest of the establishment is pretty top notch too. Their washroom is pretty orderly. I like Formocha I do, yet for whatever reason I do not like their washroom. It feels kinda neglected and much like a Tim Hortons washroom to me, the ones that are deemed public. I will be back at some point to pick up another bubbletea at some point.

My friend and I shared a box of 5 wheel cakes ($13). The flavours we chose were vanilla custard, oreo & custard, double chocolate, matcha, and bubble tea. Out of all of them, our favourites were oreo & custard, matcha, and double chocolate. I found the earl grey bubble tea wasn't as flavourful and the tapioca was really soft. The wheel cakes were like a deliciously filled and fluffy thick pancake and taiyaki hybrid. They were freshly made and came out so warm.

I love coming here once in a while when ever I'm around the area. Due to the construction happening around yonge and eglinton it is a bit difficult to come by and I miss their yonge and finch location! I love coming here for their wheel cakes and I'm glad they have it on ritual cause I love to order a head as it does get a bit busy during the day at certain hours and plus they do take around 15 mins so it's best to order a head and no need to wait. They have a total of 6 flavors and sometimes they do special flavors but the general ones are custard, oreo, matcha, cheesecake, chocolate lava and early grey bubble tea (my favorite). It's best to enjoy them while their fresh and still hot (be careful of the hot filling inside) a must try when coming here. They have a wide range of bubble teas from milk teas to fruit teas and one of my favorites I usually get it the assam milk tea. I love their tapioca, the chewy texture is just right and not too hard or soft.

very nice store for drink bubble tea. The wheel cake is made on site. There are a variety of flavors to choose from.

I saw the wheel cakes on a TikTok video and I had stumbled on this tea shop a while back but didn't have the chance to try it out. I pre-ordered on ritual because the wheel cakes take 15 minutes to make as they're made to order. I got 5 different flavors: vanilla, matcha, bbt (Earl grey with tapioca balls), chocolate and cheese. We also ordered the formocha milk tea. The wheel cakes reminded me of giant bubble waffles with flavors inside. The box it came in was a tad flimsy and I didn't notice that it was unraveling until I got the the car so carry from the bottom just in case. Our favorite flavors were vanilla and bbt. I would recommend eating them warm as it taste the best. The bbt was a vanilla bean tea flavor, we did taste a hint of it but it wasn't too strong.

Pretty packaging. Bubble tea and wheelcake.

Great bubble tea place on Eglinton. I had the espresso bubble tea. They did not skimp om the espresso, i was alert for the next 12 hours. I also had the matcha wheelcake. This was interesting because it tasted like a hint of matcha plus something floral. I kinda wish they sold just the cake part with no filling. Overall a great snack. The bubble tea and the wheelcake was packaged nicely.

This taiwanese bubble tea shop is the only one offering wheel cakes and was something I always wanted to try. The teashop is located on Eglinton close to Yonge street. With the LRT construction in the area, it's really a challenge to get here by car. I'm happy I finally got to try it. They have several flavours and sell individual pieces of your can buy a pack of 5. The flavours they offer include: cheesecake, chocolate lava, earl grey, matcha, oreo and custard and vanilla custard. I was torn between earl grey and matcha. I ended up getting earl grey since two pieces will be too many as a snack. They made my order fresh and it was nice and warm when i ate it. The earl grey filling is nice and warm, it was a nice creamy texture that wasn't too runny and there's pieces of soft tapioca inside too. The cake part wasn't too thick and doughy. I can't wait to try the rest.

I really enjoyed my milk tea with the small pearls. It was really nice to have as an option to get smaller pearls. I think more bubble tea places should offer it as an option. The flavour of the milk tea was great and my order was ready right on time after ordering from ritual. I enjoyed this place and like the ambience of the cafe as well. Great location, great bubble tea. Check them out!

I was craving some milk tea while in Toronto, so I decided to give this place a try and I am very glad I did. I was happy to find that they also served a little dessert called wheelcakes! This sounded pretty tempting so I made my way over hoping to get a little dessert and a drink. The cafe was surrounded by construction unfortunately but the cafe itself inside seemed very nice and new and bright. The counter is set in the middle and there are 2 sides of the cafe where you can sit. I ordered a cheesecake flavored wheelcake as well as a jasmine milk tea. The jasmine milk tea was okay but not great, so I probably wouldn't order that again. The wheelcake however was interesting and it was my first time trying it. It was a lot smaller than I expected, like the size of my palm. Inside, it was stuffed with cheesecake flavored custard-like filling, and outside, it was sort of like the shell of eggettes. It was yummy but the filling was a bit overwhelming considering the small size of the wheelcake. The owner told me that the bubble tea flavor is unique to their shop so it may be something to try out!

Cute bubble shop tucked away near yonge and eglinton. Nice friendly staff. I like their cheese series which apparently doesn't have any tea in the drink for people like me who is sensitive to caffeine in the evening time - great option without being worried of staying up all night!

Do you like unique, tasty desserts? Maybe fancy yourself a sweet drink? Then you've found the right place! Formocha is a hidden little gem of a place that's tucked away in plain site. The star of the show are their 'wheel cakes'. For the uninitiated, think fresh angel cake, made fresh in a hot pan filled with goodies. You really just can't get enough of this stuff. So buy extra and break up with your significant other, because sharing is out of the question. My recommendation would be either the cheesecake or the Oreo flavours. Apart from all that goodness, there's also lots of drinks to choose from. The Taro slush with tapioca pearls is my go to and never lets me down here. Best of all, you can customize how sweet you want it. Drop by if you're ever in the mood for something fun and unique.

One of the better bubble tea stores in Toronto. Price is alright, drinks are pretty good! Better than chain stores like coco and chatime.

We arrived around 3:30 pm when it was fairly occupied; they feature 'Happy Sour Hour' from 4 to 7 pm, during which all of their sour beers are reduced in price to $7.00. We ordered and shared two beers, the first a lager, the second a sour beer in order to take advantage of the discounted price. The venue is long and narrow, with two floors and a distinctive looking back patio. Our service was fairly prompt and they are located in a quite convenient location, literally across the street from the subway and the historic, flagship LCBO location. So I can recommend a visit if you're in the area and desire a drink and/or snack.

That never happens. The bowls are on another level Fresh, hearty, perfectly balanced, and somehow healthy while still being insanely satisfying. Every ingredient was crisp, crunchy, and prepared with so much care--it didn't feel like "just a salad," it felt like a full-on meal that left you energized instead of weighed down. And the smoothies? Incredible They're thick, refreshing, and taste like the best version of clean fuel for your body. Pairing one of their bowls with a smoothie became the highlight of our days in Toronto. What's wild is that I hate eating the same thing every day... but for this, I'd happily eat here for a week straight That's how much it hit the mark. Honestly, I'd go back to Canada just to have these bowls again

Yes, it contained kale (not…read moremassaged so my least favourite way of eating the fibrous green), but also roasted sweet potatoes, red peppers, rice, and a nutty tostada crumble. It's healthy but filling. Filling indeed as I had to get the rest to go, which once augmented with more salad mix was enough for a second lunch. The bowl also desperately needed more sauce. Despite containing black bean mole, avocado, salsa, cashew sour cream, and a cilantro jalapeno dressing, the kale was still tasteless and dry. Impact Kitchen seriously needs massage and "marinate" the greens beforehand. The added falafels (additional $5.99) were dense and baked - lacking a crispy crust that makes these snacks delicious. As a falafel they blow but as a savoury snack ball they're not horrible. Thankfully, our server asked if I wanted hot sauce on the side, that mild chili garlic sauce saved the day. Even then, I could only manage having one falafel at the restaurant and couldn't get through the others until I had a creamy dipping sauce the following lunch. Impact Kitchen's display case of baked goods drew us in and were surprisingly delicious for being gluten free. While I could have done without the sea salt on the chocolate sea salt cookie ($4.50), this was easy enough to dust off. Soft and chewy with a deep cacao taste, the cookie is the closest thing to a "sinful" dessert you'll find here. The almond protein brownie ($4.99) tasted "healthy" and the texture a bit crumblier than a traditional brownie... likely on account of the whey protein powder. If you can withstand temptation, save some for the next day, as it became tastier as the flavours intensified. Their matcha latte ($5.99) was beautifully presented, incorporating a rich green tea flavour and a creamy matcha dusted foam. It was one of the better versions of the drink I've ever had.
