I felt comfortable and confident as a "newbie" to hot yoga. Stephen encouraged each of us to utilize the class as our personalized class and to make modifications and adjustments as needed. I am blown away by how Stephen and the other educators/healers have created a supportive community. I am incredibly thankful to have found a home away from home. I highly recommend scheduling one of Stephens's yoga classes! A friend recommended Stephens's class to me and I am grateful.

All the ladies that work at this studio are super nice and helpful! They are on the second floor of The Battery. You walk in and you can place your stuff in the cubby holes and change shoes/into sticky socks. You initial your name at the front desk, and they also have a mini-storefront with things like clothing and accessories. The studio is impeccably clean! You have weights, straps, TRX straps, balls, the coolest foldable yoga mats, and these little round foot pads that they use to work out in. I have been to a couple of classes including their Fusion and Express (shorter) classes. The first class was challenging to me, but later on I really enjoyed these classes. They usually offer several morning classes from about 5am-8am, a noon class, and the afternoon classes are usually from 3pm-6pm. I usually pick the noon or early afternoon classes cause I'm just not a morning person lol. They also provide such an uplifting environment! I always feel so great after class and look forward to it so much.

Followed by combination work with weights or straps (targeting your whole body). Followed by glute work, then abs. Once this is all complete, we end it with light yoga and stretches. Really focuses on tiny muscles, low weighs with high reps. High energy and I absolutely adore all the instructors! There is a parking lot on both sides of the building which made parking easy. I would also recommend wearing long sleeves so the silks don't rub under your arms, and avoiding loose fitted clothing and jewelry so nothing snags while you're in the silks. One class was $35, but they also have a deal for 3 classes for $49 which seems like a great option if you plan to go back. Once class started, I really enjoyed it. Rachel was super nice, patient, and helpful, especially for beginners. She did a great job walking us through how to use the silks and made sure everyone felt comfortable.
