Del, the personal trainer, will listen to what your fitness goals and create a realistic plan to help you achieve what you want. For me, I wanted to know the benefits about intermittent fasting, an appropriate meal plan, and an exercise routine to help me lose my abdominal fat. Del took the time and effort to write up on a marker board what exercises to do, what food to eat, and completely answer my knowledge gaps. In just 6 weeks, I was able to drop my body fat percentage by 5%. It wasn't easy, but I couldn't have done it without Del's help. Aside from personal training, there are 1 hour early morning + late afternoon classes Monday to Friday (and Saturday mornings) in which you will do extensive circuit workout routines. These are extremely helpful because these routines are both challenging and motivational. Del oversees each person and develops a plan whether it's weight loss or weight gain. The gym has squat racks, bench press bars, ropes, cycles, and much more. It is extremely well ventilated, several clean bathrooms, and cubicles to store your belongings. Water is available in a small refrigerator. The atmosphere is relaxed. Every gym member is chill and super supportive. I would highly recommend this gym and Del to anyone looking for fitness classes or personal training in Birmingham!

This means it is almost impossible to complete a 30 minute circuit in time (and keep your heart rate up) because you will have to wait for the people who camp out on the machines to rest between their 3 sets on one machine. The majority of people there camp out on machines texting or scrolling on phones while they rest. It takes awhile to complete muscle groups on machines because of this. Until this location brings back the dedicated 30 minute circuit and adds machines back, I will not return. Joining another gym next month. Sad about management's change to attract free weight body builders by losing members who prefer machines and a quick workout. I really liked it before the change and referred a lot of people there.

It's typically older gentleman talking politics and just hanging on the machines. V annoying. 2nd and probably more important: PUT RE RACK SIGNS UP YMCA!!! The plates are constantly left on EVERY free weight machine. Literally chest press/lat pulldowns/rows always are left with plates still racked. Ive seen multiple smaller men and women struggle getting them off. Congrats you can row 200lbs, take the plates off when you're finished Shane, and if you sweat all over it in your tank, wipe the dam$ seat off.
