Cute and yummy sandwich spot. I had the #9 Blazin' Cajun Turkey Sandwich and it has a nice kick! I ordered no pickles (less vinegar tasting) and extra fresh onion instead. It could be spicier IMO, but I'm a hot head so I'm sure it's considered spicy to most folks. Next time I'll look into adding Sriracha and avocado would be great on it. The staff is super friendly and engaged. Each employee greeted me and they offered me a loyalty card to keep me coming back. I definitely will since I work nearby! P.S. The place is a little pricey for the size of a sandwich that you would receive. Also, when we try to place an order they were out of the first two items I wanted and had to settle for a third picked item. When I got it, not much mustard or mayonnaise was on the bread and the bread was very dry. Some of the people that had lunch with me had made the comment or connection of croutons being softer than this bread. their sandwich in the middle split when taking the first bite. also, a sidenote, when placing the order and being told we were out of selections, we had said we needed the order by a specific time and they said they hope they can do that in time as they're the only person working. We called 30m prior to the time and it was lunch time so you think they would have enough staffing for one of the busiest time for a sandwich shop? read more

I am a sandwich person to my core and this sandwich had me in heaven. They piled on the meat so high it was hard to take a normal bite without getting sauce all over my face. However, my daughter wasn't feeling too well but I was CRAVING a sandwich - which isn't too often. I called and asked if they were in any delivery apps and the wonderful man who answered the phone said they are on grub hub but it wasn't turned on. He asked if I could make it in but I let him know about my daughter. He turned it on for me to place me order. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH BUSINESS YOU WILL BE GETTING FROM ME NOW!? Google Maps is not friendly in locating this spot, we had to reroute to figure out where it was in this hidden strip mall. There's a liquor store at the front for better identifier next time. Yo-way customer service is great! I've been looking for a spot with good pressed paninis and found this close enough to home. Was happy to find this place a few years ago when I worked in the area and just visited again as places have started opening up again post lockdown - it's still the BEST, hands down. They have some sandwich options on their menu that you can order that have all the fixins/toppings already set - but I usually use their menu sheet where you can build your own - and be sure to toast it :)! Once you're finished marking what you would like, you slide it under their glass dividers on the counter - The ingredients are high quality, the service is awesome, and they're timely as well! This is a hidden gem. I've had it bookmarked for a while and it didn't disappoint. Customer service - 5 stars Sandwiches - 5 stars David greeted me with the perfect manly handshake. He asked if I was a first time patron, then explained the ordering process. It was old school and simple...fill out the paper, slide it on the counter, then let them go to work. I ordered a tuna on a french roll and the cajun sandwich. My tuna was chunky and packed just enough flavor. It had large crunchy pieces of celery the way I like. I was pleasantly surprised by the chunks of green apples as well. My friend loved the cajun chicken on squaw. I am a pescatarian, but had to nibble a corner of this sandwich. The sauce itself was yummy! Makes me want to order it next. Overall, the sandwiches were a nice size with reasonable prices. Meat portions were very generous. I wanted to share an excellent sandwich shop in a tiny strip mall in Gardena. However, don't let the location fool you. The sandwiches here are stacked, and the service is friendly too. They have several preset sandwiches with a variety of proteins (or not, for vegetarians). Or you can make your own creation. I ordered the turkey tussle ($8.25 - on squaw bread w/ cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, onions & pickles). My co-workers requested their own creations for about the same price (only mine is pictured). My sandwich was winnahzzz. It was way better vs highly touted Ike's, and less expensive as well. When I am stuck eating a sandwich, it is usually at the cafe in my building, or the cafe in the building next door because I am under a time constraint. However, this sandwich was packed with Boar's Head meat vs the cafes, but costs the same. The remainder of the ingredients were super fresh, and the squaw bread added a nice sweet contrast to the savory ingredients. I was satisfied visually & gastronomically. Absent NY Deli in Torrance, Yo-Way has the best sandwiches in the Gardena/Torrance area IMHO: 5 Stars. Regarding the ambiance, its more of take out place, but there are a few seats inside & outside. Nonetheless, the staff is nothing short of inviting & friendly. It was our first time and one of the sandwich makers gave us the run down, and he and his colleague made our sandwiches quickly and to our specs. Dave the owner was also super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. He gave us a little strawberry ice cream on the house: That was a very nice gesture of him. He asked us for some catering biz when we had meetings, and we agreed that we would ask our assistant to use Yo-Way in the future: 5 Stars. Now I have an alternative to the cafes close by my office when I am under a time constraint. Yo-Way is only a few minute drive from my office, and they take phone orders. Yo-way is my favorite sandwich shop and I'm not just saying this because I'm from Gardena (lol). This place really has mastered the art of making very delicious sandwiches with fresh veges and delicious spreads/sauces. The deli meat is Boars Head (my fav). It's just as the name states - you can have it Yo-way but trust and believe the way that they make it is just fine as well. Once you take a look at their menu, you'll totally understand why I follow their lead when selecting a sandwich to devour and no I'm not sharing bites with anyone. You gotta get Yo-Own. Yo-way offers a good variety of specialty sandwiches. 2 of my favorites are the Poppin' Pastrami on french bread and the Blazin Cajun on cranberry walnut bread. Sooo delicious! They also sell these Luau BBQ Hawaiian onion ring chips that pair very nicely with these sandwiches. I would also like to compliment the owner and his staff on being so welcoming and friendly. It's located in a tiny strip mall with limited parking. Order on a sheet with markers and your order is freshly made within 5 minutes. Had the pastrami with sourdough bread, tomatoes, olives and siracha mayo. It was wonderfully hot and pressed like a panini sandwich. Highly recommend! YELP 100 CHALLENGE 2017 - PART 2: 84/100 Cousin called saying she wanted to come over, but wanted to stop by for some sammies beforehand. She asked if I knew of a good sammich spot near home. "Yo-Way." I surprised myself for a second because it rolled out of my mouth without having to think about it. And that's huge considering I haven't been back in over a year. I told her where it was. She asked if I wanted anything. I declined (like an idiot) because "I just had lunch." She bought me a pastrami anyway. (We should all be so thankful for thoughtful relatives!) Fast forward to dinner time. Although I had plenty of leftovers, none were more appealing than the sandwich. I nuked it for about 30 seconds, and ehrmahgerrrrr!!! It was so much better than the last time. That pastrami was brined, seasoned and sliced to perfection. I'm not really a fan of mustard or pickles, but the tang added nicely to the taste.
