Almost $50 for 2 hamburgers, fries, and sodas. And they automatically add 15% tip to the check. Not a good value. Service was slow.

Good cocktails, steak is the most bland thing I've ever had. Not worth the price at all.

Many American Indians have been popularized in books, documentaries, and stirring motion pictures…read more  The Yavapai Indians, however, have been largely absent from such published history.   Historically situated in central and west‐central Arizona, the Yavapai, pronounced as yah-vah-pie," meaning "people of the sun," were semi-nomadic hunter-gathers who lived and traveled in small groups within specific home territories. Located within Yavapai Lodge in Grand Canyon Village, my partner and I stopped at this establishment for lunch in June. Yavapai Tavern is a casual, charming stone-accented watering hole offering a selection of regional craft beers, specialty cocktails, and a limited pub-grub menu. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Basically, one orders food at one of the registers, gets a table number, pays the bill, and leaves an optional tip. We decided on the American burgers, one with Provolone cheese and another with American cheese, including an optional side of house-made potato salad or macaroni salad. Our meal was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly, and full of flavor. However, the wait for food was long. Prices were affordable, especially considering the location inside the park. The staff was helpful when asked directly. This place also seemed to be less crowded than most other restaurants. While there weren't views of the Grand Canyon from the restaurant itself, the atmosphere still contributed to a nice dining experience.

Younplace an order via an app or order at the bar. Only plus is there's a nice fire pit and drinks were decent. Very expensive for what you get. Basically an upscale fast food place and food just a tiny step above. Also weird upon delivery of food we got one fork, no napkins, no condiments. Set your expectations. $80 for a burger, tacos from the appetizer menu, 1 can of beer (no glass offered) and a glass of "large sized wine - which was a typical pour). Just know this isn't a fine dining it's a place when you're hungry after a big hike and anything will suffice. Next time I'd just go to the market, buy some beer a bottle of wine and make a charcuterie board.

I don't usually do Wendy's, but this was exactly the kind of situation it's built for. Order, wait a few minutes, feed everyone, restore order to the group. Inside was what you'd expect. Nothing remarkable, nothing off-putting. It was reasonably clean, the line moved, and the staff kept things moving without any issues. Food came out right, no mix-ups, which is really all you can ask for when you've got a small crowd and zero patience left. The food itself was standard. It did the job. Nobody's talking about it afterward, but nobody's complaining either. The kids were happy, which was the whole point. Three stars feels right. It's not a destination, but in the moment, it delivered exactly what we needed and got us back on the road.

My daughter and I had just left the McDonald's across the street, and she was disappointed there because she could not find any food items on their menu that were gluten free. After arriving at this Wendy's, we found the landscaping to be beautiful, clean, and well kept. The entrance was inviting as well. After entering this location, we glanced through their menu on one of their kiosks and my daughter was happy to find a few options available for her. She ordered a large Parmesan Caesar salad with chicken, a baked potato and a caramel vanilla frosty. I ordered a junior cheeseburger meal deal with a junior cheeseburger, junior fries, 4-piece chicken nuggets, and a Dr. Pepper. I looked around in the dining area while I waited for our order. The inside was well decorated and extremely clean, and the windows allowed for a pleasant amount of natural light inside. The menus above the cashiers were nicely displayed for customers that would prefer to order without the kiosk. All the employees here appeared to be working efficiently and professionally. Our order was ready in just a few minutes. We decided to dine inside, and I'm glad we did because of how pleasant the dining area was. There were only a small number of customers inside while we were here so the ambient noise in the dining area was low for my daughter and I to have a nice conversation while we ate. Most importantly, our meals were delicious. If you're in the area and ready for a meal, Wendy's is economical with lots of great options. It's also nice to see that they have gluten-free options for folks who require that.

My wife went with the Nathan's hot dog loaded up with chili, cheese, and onions. Honestly, that was the safe play and it paid off. The hot dog was good. Solid. Dependable. It did not try to reinvent the wheel or elevate the hot dog experience. It just showed up, did its job, and moved on with its life. Respect. I decided to get adventurous with the Native Taco. And by adventurous, I mean I ordered something that is basically chili, cheese, onions, lettuce, and salsa sitting on what I can only describe as pizza dough. So imagine a taco. Now imagine a slice of pizza. Now combine them and remove most of the seasoning. That's the experience. It's actually an interesting concept. I'll give them that. Taco pizza energy. But everything kind of blended together into one unified note of... fine. Not bad. Not offensive. Just polite. It felt like all the ingredients had a meeting beforehand and agreed not to outshine each other. The hot chocolate was good though. No sarcasm there. It hit the spot, especially with that canyon air reminding you you're not at sea level anymore. All in all, it's three stars. You're at the Grand Canyon. You're not here for culinary fireworks.
