YGF Malatang was such a delight! I love any place that allows me to customize what I get, and YGF had a great selection of fresh ingredients. I think the only downside here is choice paralysis - my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach. They do offer takeout bowls though, so if you get too much you can always bring it home. I got a bunch of things - sliced lamb, fish balls, chikuwa, frozen tofu, krab stick, wood ear, pumpkin, lotus root, bok choy, enoki, dumplings, vermicelli, cilantro.... I'm probably forgetting things, but every single ingredient was tasty. In particular, I liked that the lamb wasn't gamey or chewy, the dumplings had a nice leek flavor, and the wood ears had that perfect chewy crunch. I got it all in the curry broth, which is definitely not spicy like the menu said but delicious nonetheless. Altogether, my bowl was around $17 after weighing. I added on a jasmine green tea too, which was the perfect floral, slightly sweet companion to the soup. The inside is super clean and has way more seating than you'd expect from the outside. Staff were very helpful, explaining how ordering works and the different menu options. I'm so glad that we're finally getting more of these sort of fast/casual Asian restaurants in Broward. Definitely planning to add this place to my regular rotation.

The concept of malatang is very interesting -- it's great for those who don't do buffets well but still crave hot pot. Though, I'll start off by saying that the price is pretty steep for a one-time customized soup... and you're better off paying the few extra dollars for All-You-Can-Eat. So yes, if you have a smaller appetite, this is the hot pot spot for you! Service was good and staff was very attentive. It's also very clean and tidy. I loved the selection. Even the mini sauce bar was a nice touch. I'd come back to see if they'll have more broth options and toppings. I also want to try their ala carte appetizers/snacks.

Clean restaurant, fast service, good selection of fresh ingredients and a comforting meal for a cold night. If you've never had malatang, it's similar to Chinese hot pot except they cook all your ingredients for you and bring it out ready to eat in the broth instead of you cooking and eating as you go at the table. They charge by weight and there's a minimum of 0.8 lbs. There was plenty of options including beef, lamb, pork slices and several seafood choices and fish balls. Lots of vegetables including lotus root and frozen tofu plus a variety of noodles. There are also more adventurous options like pork blood, tripe and intestines. The broth options were a little limited and they didn't have the spidy mala option available this visit. I opted for the beef bone broth option mild spice. It was rich, very flavorful and went well with my ingredients. The staff is friendly and fast.

Quickly rose to one of our favorite soup spots! We love the weigh and pay concept. They have lots of soup fixings to choose from and a sauce bar to perfect your dining experience.

I'm truly so ecstatic that this chain is now in South Florida. I've had a couple of YGFs throughout SoCal and I can say that the quality here is up to par with those locations. They offer the classic broths as well as the dry Malatang option. There's a lot of umami in the broths. They also offer a couple of different appetizers, including the fried pork which is my favorite. They also have a couple of desserts available that aren't too sweet. The rice cake is very nice and chewy. The toppings bar is very clean and organized. Everything was labeled appropriately. They have a self service sauce and water bar. Don't be fooled, I don't think that spicy is tear jerking spicy. It's very flavorful and more "mala" as in it doesn't punch you in the face. It's conveniently located in a plaza with lots of parking.

I often crave hot pot but just can't justify the "all you can eat" price point when I know I won't eat more than 1 bowl. This was perfect in terms of portion because you have full control over how much protein, carb, and vegetable you get. It's self service the whole way, you pick up a bowl and start picking toppings. Definitely tempting to fill up the bowl because it's so big but I only filled up a quarter of the way and still got a full bowl of hot pot. Then you have a bonus build your own sauce bar. You pick your broth base at the register, I went with curry which is spicy and salty. Next time I'm looking forward to trying the beef broth. I enjoyed how casual the place was, there were a lot of families and the place was filled with people having a good time. In total I spent about $13 and left a little tip on top of that, so you'll leave feeling full and like you didn't break the bank.

From the outside, the place looks pretty underwhelming, but when you walk in, it's adorable. The atmosphere is super modern with Asian touches and super clean. The concept is to build your own ramen bowl. Upon entering, you grab a bowl and add all the ingredients you want, and at the end, weigh it to determine the price. At the register, you choose the flavor of the soup base. They also have a few appetizer options, which I didn't try. My daughter and I's ramen, along with two sodas, came to $35.42, with an 18% tip included. The staff was very friendly and explained how everything works. This will definitely become a regular stop for me and my daughter.

This is where Chipotle meets hotpot in a new twist. Select the food that's weighed by the pound. Select soup base, and wait for deliciousness. We are due for a place like this in South Florida. Ambiance is festive, giant family style. The staff is authentically helpful. They will do well.

YGF Malatang is a fun change-up if you're into hot pot but don't always want the full sit-down production. The place is clean, quick, and the "build-your-own-bowl" setup makes it easy to grab exactly what you're craving--no fighting over who dropped the fish ball in the pot. The broth was OK without blowing your head off, and the ingredients are fresh, especially the veggies and sliced beef. That said, I'm still a sucker for the old-school experience--slow simmering, everyone cooking together, and the whole table hanging out around one pot. YGF feels more modern and grab-and-go, but in a good way. If you want something tasty, customizable, and spicy without committing to a long meal, this spot delivers. Certainly a good spot if your in the mood for something fast and flavorful.

So excited to have a hot pot place like this so close! The restaurant is very clean, staff were so nice and helpful and of course....the food was fantastic! They have a great selection of meats, vegetables, dumplings, etc. (all the usual hot pot stuff) and the price is super reasonable. They definitely don't skimp on the broth so you will definitely be full. We already have some good hot pot places around here but they're all unlimited/AYCE and they're pricey so this is a great choice if you don't feel like spending that much money but wanna fill up on delicious hot pot. I'll definitely be back!

I went to Miami for five days during Christmas, and I ate at this place twice--it was so delicious! If you like Chinese food, this is the perfect spot for you to try. Whether you live in Miami or are visiting for a trip, this is a place you have to go to. I promise you won't regret it. The location is also not very far from Sawgrass Mills Mall.

As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the staff, they were very friendly and helpful in explaining how everything worked. Gloves were provided even though tongs are used to grab your ingredients, which I appreciated as it was very sanitary. I got all of my ingredients and went to the register, and I was surprised after everything I got that it was under a pound and cost under $15. I got the dry option and was nervous that everything I got would not taste good together, but to my surprise it was so delicious! They cooked everything to perfection, and I definitely will be coming back! I attached a picture of mine and my companions meal as well, he got the sweet and sour tomato soup base, which I tried and it was very good as well!

The service is very good. Food is delicious. I like it. Will come back. The place is nice and clean.

Small, but homey with welcoming, friendly staff. Each and every server contributes pleasant conversation to the experience. Very clean and well managed as you are invited to sit anywhere as drink orders are immediately taken and menus provided. Servers are skilled at explaining choices...and there are many. My very favorite thing is their tofu soup! Happiness is seeing them approach the table with a huge, steamy, bubbling, fragrant cauldron of this liquid heaven! Creamy, silky, soft tofu melts in your mouth with a rich, flavorful broth. My go to is the clam or seafood. It comes with a raw egg to crack and mix into the broth that arrives still boiling in the bowl. Their banchan is delish and refillable on request. Other favorites teok bokki with fish cake, dyoza boiled or fried, galbi (short rib) and a similar dish made with chicken that I don't know the name of. I have recently tried their k-ramen soup and now am faced with the dilemma of choosing that or sticking with my tofu soup addiction!! Yes, a little pricey but well worth it with generous portions and almost always have to take some home. If you are close by, treat yourself. If you need to travel to Weston, do it. You will not be sorry. I saw very few negative reviews and I just gotta say I was left thinking they must be living in an alternate reality or they are devoid of working taste buds!!

They literally have everything on the menu even the ones I didn't know I was craving for until I saw them on the menu. My girlfriend loves uni (sea urchin) so we ordered two pieces (1 pc per order) at a reasonable price. It was good for the price of ($14.50 may change due to market fluctuation). It wasn't Japanese uni, it looked and tasted like the ones from California. Nonetheless, it was good, especially with uni being scarce temporarily. We also tried their grilled shishito peppers (nice mini app to snack on), fried tofu with chicken sauce (very hot inside so be careful, but it was tasty and light enough to enjoy other dishes), spicy salmon roll wrapped in soy paper (very simply roll and tasty, you don't get tired of it after eating couple pieces), nato beans and rice with Ikura and quail eggs (tasted little blend but couldn't complain for the portion and quality), seafood hotpot (will satiate your hotpot craving until next time, and Michelle ramen (which was mediocre at best).
