I've attended three of their community screenings - a screening of Flyways, a screening of CIAD (a climbing documentary about climbing in Cebu, the Philippines) and a screening of Fish People (which also had a guest appearance by Lynne Cox!!). They thoughtfully presented each event and even provided refreshments. I also went to a community outreach event where they hosted a bunch of local nonprofits who embodied Patagonia's mission (a couple of charities that I recall were there: Potomac Riverkeepers, Wilderness Kids). They shone spotlights on these nonprofits and invited them in to share their work. I've made returns there (from online orders), purchased items, and brought in multiple items for repair (two items for in store repair where they put on cool patches, and one item that they had to ship off for repair - two zippers). It's rare that you see a store that creates community and walks the walk. Patagonia Old Town does just that.

Dropped off my racket Friday evening and Jennifer, who is the owner, was able to get it done the next day like they said they would! She is very knowledgable about tennis rackets whether you're a beginner or someone who knows a thing or two about tennis. I felt she really wanted to help and their prices are very reasonable. My wife was due for a new racket, so I even brought her the next day to shop for a new racket! Jennifer let my wife test a few demo rackets to help make the best decision before purchasing. She ended up getting the Yonex limited edition EZone 100 which was the last one they have in store!! Happy wife, happy life. They even said in an hour or so they will have it strung and ready for same day pick up! Can't get any better service at other typical sporting goods place.
