Especially since prices are not great discounts anymore. Sometimes running to Tory Burch outlet is a better deal than the plastic knock offs K&k in dsw. It took a long time to even be greeted by the salesperson. When the gentlemen did help, there was a major difference in how I was serviced versus the previous client. I felt like my presence was annoying despite knowing exactly what I wanted. When you plan on spending $200 on shoes, service matters. The overall goal was accomplished, I received a quality shoe. Great selection, but man it can be a lot! Typically I walk in, go through all the rows and come out with nothing. Or I spend a lot of time on the website and purchase nothing. But I had gift cards to burn and it was the end of the year with 50% already reduced items. And I needed shoes! I actually did really well. I went for comfort this time and purchased two pairs of Clark's and another comfy Euro dress shoe. Service was really good. The salespeople working and tidying up, each asked if I was finding everything ok, or they told me about the 50% off clearance sale. The insoles that Parker recommended were so amazing that I literally walked out of the store with them ( after I paid of course ). I appreciate the fact that we were not rushed. Had never been to the South Riding store before and they were busy when we entered. Went to look around and while we were doing so, in different parts of the store both my son and I were offered help. I met Ansel the store manager, who went above and beyond. I had on my older Clifton 9's. I shared with him my concerns over the Clifton 11 vs other Hoka models. Ansel explained the differences to me and while others would walk away, Ansel asked me my size and brought out three different models for me to try on. This location is less than a mile from my house, very convenient and has plenty of parking available even on weekends. Even though this is not my fav Nordstrom Rack, (San Marcos, Ca. location has better shoe selection) I found my best deals here by far. Im super petite and tiny everywhere. I wear either a size 00, 0, XXS or XS depending on brand and fit in a size 4 or 4.5 shoes. Being tiny, it's hard to shop for clothes that fits me perfect outside of kids section. I find that I either pay full retail price or get really lucky with highly discounted odd size shoes or clothing regardless of the store I go to. So when I need a wardrobe update, I'll spend hours at NR and comb through the racks carefully if I want to find really high end brand name pieces for super low prices. Last time I went looking for a dress to wear to my brothers wedding in July, I found a super pretty floral dress for NOTHING!!! Original price was 172 on sale for 20 and I had a 40 dollar note sitting in my rewards account, so I paid zero for it... score!!! I've also gotten a blouse for a penny lol... say wha??? How is that even possible?
