I went to Transition Tri looking for the new Shimano TR-901 - and they had them (which was impressive because everyone else was sold out). Steve easily took 90 mins helping me try on a few different tri shoes, a few helmets and a few other things. Steve also gave me the low down on what has been happening in the tri world over the last 10 year - over those 90 mins - he reminded me why I fell in love with triathlons ten years ago. They both seem out of touch with reality. There is the trouble on the customer end to return an item that they completely neglected to touch on. Homely it comes to to customer service which this store lacks in. It's like they are reading out of a book. I drove 45 min to the location, I reviewed the return policy and just wanted to return the items (well within the return window). When I dropped by the store an hour later, the 2 Headphones were indeed saved under my name! I waited in line and asked the young guy at the register that I had come to pick up the UA Headphones. It turns out that the prices in a lot of the stores were very reasonable. At Under Armour, the prices were pretty high because of the name brand. There was a rack with a bunch of athletic shirts on it that said $24.99. I looked at the original price on the tags and they said $49.99. Half off sounded like a good deal to me, so I told my son to grab a pair of shorts to go with the shirt, which he did. When we got to the register, the shorts rang up correctly at $14.99 and the shirt rang up as $49.99. I pointed out the rack that was labeled $24.99 and the cashier called his manager over to manually override the price, which he did without hesitation. There was a good selection of items, but they need to get their prices right.
