So cute! I'm usually not the biggest fan of diners but I really liked this one. The staff was so nice and the food was good!

Your average dinner that's very reasonable. I came here for breakfast and they had everything from omlettes to pancakes to waffles and so on. The serving sizes are decent and the food is very average. This is your very typical long island diner. The service is very quick and attentive. The place itself is quite small and does get busy in the mornings on weekends, so just be aware.

I've been here a few times over the last few months and have always had a good experience. However, I was here this past weekend and extremely disappointed. I had ordered a pastrami melt but when I got it there was a lot of fat on the meat. I told the waitress that I didn't want it. She asked if I wanted something else so I decided upon a BLT. When the sandwich came, it only had three pieces of bacon on it. I started eating it and then I noticed that the tomato didn't look right. I opened the sandwich to see one of the tomatoes was cut leaving the core piece in it. Picture attached. I ate a piece of that core not knowing it. I feel the tomato was cut that way deliberately because I had returned my first order. So, instead of making their customer happy, they took their contempt out on me instead and then charged me $13 for three pieces of bacon. Great customer service! I will not be returning to this diner anymore and will not recommend it to friends, either.

Blueberry Pancakes

Best pancakes, sausage and eggs in the area. The sausage is crispy, plump and juicy. Pancakes have the distinct flavor reminiscent of IHOP that keeps you coming back for more. Service is excellent. Ricardo, Daisy and team are all super attentive and friendly. One of the least crowded places is a bonus, great food without the wait!!

Used to go every Sunday before Covid and loved the food and people who worked there. Went Sunday morning at 3:00 am. The pastrami was cut so thick, you could not eat it in the sandwich becauseit was hard. We had to take the pastrami out if the sandwich and use a fork and knife to eat it. The waitress realized that something was wrong so we ended up ordering a lamb gyro. The gyro was very greasy. So we ended up not eating it. The waitress was very sarcastic and we heard her talking smack about us in Spanish not liking the gyro.

Extra expensive, for the most basic food. $2.00 to add onions to an omelette, they've gotta be nuts. I miss triple crown diner.

After visiting for brunch today, I'm excited to be able to update my review with a full five stars…read more- Swing the Teapot is officially one of my local favorites! I had the tea experience with Black Velvet and it was just what I needed. I'll admit that the licorice and peppermint were very faint, but it was still a tasty tea and sharing a large pot with my partner, we finished the whole thing. My MIL loved her ginger peach tea, and my friends each enjoyed theirs, one getting his go-to peppermint and the other trying the red raspberry and remarking in how pleased she was with her choice. Lesson learned- if you come here and DON'T get tea (with the adorable teapot, teacup and saucer, all charmingly mismatched) you're doing it wrong. Because I'm weird, I just ordered the Irish soda bread with a dish of whipped cream as a "light" breakfast, and I appreciated that the server humored me to the fullest. My partner had a blueberry muffin that he was super pleased with, probably his favorite that he's found in the area so far. My MIL unabashedly devoured her chicken salad sandwich and the potato salad it came with - usually she's picky so that's quite the endorsement. The avocado toast and burger that my friends ordered all looked fantastic too. Great service, delicious food and tea, and very good prices- next visit will be for the live music!

We have dined here as a family twice one for Valentines Day weekend and more recently Mother's Day…read moreweekend. Personally I loved the cozy, nostalgic and historic atmosphere. The teas were served in actual tea pots and cups. Food was pretty good overall, my daughter loved the pancakes, which has been the go-to order. Service is a hit or miss depending on the time of day. The first time we went was on early in the morning before noon so it was not busy. My husband ordered the Irish Breakfast, which was very comforting and filling. I ordered the fish and chips, which were pretty good. I took the leftovers home. The price for the dining experience was very reasonable. The most recent time we went was around lunch time and it was buzzing. We were lucky that we got seated but service definitely suffered this time around. For this dining experience we ordered the pancakes from the adult menu. My husband ordered the Shepherd's Pie and I had the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict. We took the leftover pancakes home as we devoured the Shepherd's Pie and Eggs Benedict. I'd definitely go back one day to experience dining with a live band.

Food Not for me. My meal was a disappointment…read more The grilled chicken salad was too salty for me. (Salty for me may not be salty for you) The burger description said it comes with bacon but the cook left out the bacon. The server brought out the bacon after half the burger was consumed. (Missing bacon wasn't the first thing checked but eventually the taste of bacon was missing ...and when asked the bacon was brought out on a plate, sitting in some residual oils. Eeks... The pickles were stuffed inside the burger and they were not cut like pickle chips. It was cut to serve on the side. Food Presentation was less than ideal. Service Polite but not knowledgeable. The server said the burger comes with a poached egg, when the food came, it was served with a fried egg. Not a big deal but inaccurate data. Ambiance Like... I'm dining inside sephora. Its a strange black and white stripe decor. The chairs are comfortable. The tables is a tad too high and wobbly. Food, service and ambiance not on par with prices charged. It doesn't warrant a repeat visit even if the prices were lowered. Its missing a chef with a passion to make tasty food. The serving staff needs a better understanding of the menu and what is being served. (Maybe Encourage the staff to eat the food so they can communicate to the customers better or give feedback to the cook about the food quality.)

Crabtree 's did not disappoint. From the welcoming greeting, by professional restaurant staff, and not bored teenagers, to the impeccable service and food, our experience here was a pure delight. The calamari and ceaser salad appetizers were bursting with flavor and tasted so fresh. I ordered the special, a whole roasted dorado fish. It was divine. My partner had the lobster and shrimp pasta dish and was just as happy. I am a very finicky restaurant diner. I could not recommend this place more. I wish I had taken better pictures to do justice to the food, but it was so delicious looking we just dove right in!

While waiting at the bar for a friend to arrive, I was swarmed by fruit flies, which should have been my first warning sign. The pours at the bar were skimpy, but I tried to shake it off once we got our table. The service there was actually friendly, and our server proudly told us the duck was a top seller, so we ordered it along with a salad and a fish dish. Most of what came out of the kitchen was diner quality at best--nothing special, but not offensive. The duck, however, was a disaster. It tasted old and stale, like it had been sitting in a freezer for months before being rushed through a fryer. The meat was fried to a dry, brittle crisp, and the only flavor came from a cloying sweet duck sauce slapped on top. No richness, no tenderness, no redeeming qualities. We absolutely hated our meal and the entire time we spent there. I can't recommend this place to anyone who actually cares about what they eat.
