I tried the octopus, intestine, and shrimp hot pot for $51.88 and was pretty disappointed. There were only a few pieces of octopus and intestine, and the shrimp tasted like frozen shrimp. Almost every grab was 99% vegetables and fillers. I had to dig and search for every tiny piece of main protein. For the price, I expected a much more generous portion and better quality ingredients. The portion was surprisingly small and didn't feel worth the cost. It honestly looked more like a packed leftover portion than a freshly made dish. Overall, I left pretty underwhelmed, especially considering how expensive it was.

Food is fantastic, service is attentive, and ambience is clean. Our go to dish here is their friend squid. The portion is huge. Parking is available shared with a small plaza.

Really good Korean style hotpots that come with two rice bowls! It's def worth the money and I absolutely loved every dish I've had here. The perilla soup was amazing. All their stews have been solid and are good if you want your own dish. But the hotpot's are so great for sharing! Good side dishes too. My favorite is the spicy chicken with intestines because it has large and small intestines. It wasn't that spicy and bc of the intestines, it'll oily but man is it good. The chicken didn't hold on to much of the flavor so I drenched it in the sauce. My only complaint is they aren't super flexible with the menu in customizations. I was willing to pay more for adding on things they had. I also asked if I could mix two different things from two different hotpots that were the same price. Parking is valet unless you get lucky and find street parking. Valet is $5 cash or $6 if you pay through an app

YeoGiYo is a nice, modern Korean restaurant that sits as a contrast tot he more homely Chunju. It's a 7-8 top with a pretty decent menu that covers stews, bibimbaps, pancakes, and soondubus. The also have alcohol for sale though covering beer, soju, and makgeolli (comes in a big bowl that serves 4). Bibambap tastes of good quality and nice the rice would crisp up when you let it sit. After mixing, will feel a bit light on the bulgogi though so would recommend getting the meat plate if you want more protein. Seafood pancake was good though - good pieces of seafood and egg and fry. Service is nice and they played all the modern kpop hits.

Yeogiyo is tucked inside a busy mall with valet-only parking for $3. We ordered the jjolmyeon and donkatsu - both were fine but nothing particularly memorable. The jjolmyeon had good flavor but leaned a bit heavy on the sauce, the donkatsu was crispy and about what you'd expect, and the banchan was decent. Overall, a decent, no-frills meal.

I have searched for the traditional flavor of Kimchi-jjigae (김치찌개) for so long since Nakwon closed down. And every place I've gone in K-town always disappoints. Even in Seoul it was hard to find such rich and tasteful flavor of Kimchi-jjigae (김치찌개) with its red iconic color. This place has won my heart and it gave me the comfort I was seeking for so long. I will be back. Hands down two thumbs up. Over all the service is great and the flavors are explosive.

Decided to stop by on a Sunday evening with not a lot of other people dining in and was seated quickly. The staff here are so friendly and they came out with our orders very quickly. Recommended Items: - dumplings 9/10 - spicy squid dish 8.5/10 (wish it was hotter as in temperature wise) The dishes were really good, but nothing mind blowing the food here is a great alternative if other places are closed or full. Definitely recommend giving it a try. The prices on the menu are a little questionable noticed that some dishes like the sides are more expensive than the entrées. The restaurant itself has a lot of seating so that is a plus. Parking is valet or street parking only

The food was ok. Not bad but also not wowing. The seafood pancake was very eggy. It tasted more like an omelette than a pancake. The spicy pork was good. Had a generous portion and some heat. The short rib was quite disappointing as the meet was not tender. We were struggling to chew it off the bone too. The servers were friendly and the place was clean.

The service at this small is excellent. The waiter checked on my party regularly. Seafood pancake, Beef intestine soup & Beef broth noodles are all tasty. 6 small complimentary dishes came with the order. I enjoyed this meal during my LA trip.

Overall a nice experience. Food was decent but nothing to rave about. On the pricier side but the quality was really good. Portions were also smaller than other places. Service was good but we didnt get checked in on once after we got our food. Overall its very modern and clean but if you're looking for bang for your buck try another place.

Solid Korean restaurant with all the Korean food classics! I got the YeoGiYo Pork Tonkatsu and it was very good! The pork cutlet and a nice, breaded exterior and it was perfectly fried. The pork meat was also nice and tender. The side veggies and sauces complimented the cutlet well. They also gave my friend and I side bean sprout cold soups which I appreciated. The banchan variety was great as well and I liked the bean sprouts the best. They had good flavor. I also tried my friend's hot stone bibimbap and it was good too! The interior is clean and the service was good! I would definitely come back to try the other menu items.

Beef bulgogi is nice but a bit pricey compared to BCD. Clam broth noodles is really bad, the soup is too starchy and the noodles are hard to chew. Small plates are okay but I had better else where.

What seemed like a deceptively simple bowl was one of the most delicious and flavorful meals I've had - I'll be thinking about my bowl for a long time. I got the plain kalgaksu, mainly because it included pork potstickers. The anchovy broth isn't fishy (which I was concerned about), it's deep and full in a way that's hard to describe. It penetrates the noodles and potatoes well. The broth is similar if not the same between most bowl types. The cold noodles were also delicious, which a couple of my friends ordered. Quite large portions, as just about everyone had to take some home. They also have bibimbap if you're craving a rice based meal instead. I can't wait to come back - maybe not on a Saturday night next time so I don't have to look so long for parking!

I really wanted authentic Korean food that was not kbbq and not tofu and this place delivered! This restaurant is in a small strip mall. The strip mall has other Korean food options. They have a valet parking system of sorts but we didn't pay, we self parked. The attendant told us we were fine. It was approx 9pm when we arrived and also a week night. I have no idea how much valet parking is here. We were a small party of two. Upon arrival, we were notified they were out of RICE. Um..what?? That's a good problem (for them to have) but not for consumers. I feel this really limited our options to just soup. I honestly didn't want soup but there wasn't much else we could order. The bowls were large and came out piping hot. It was a satisfying meal and not too heavy. The price point was on the pricey side. Our waiter told us business has not been the same post covid. Some dishes are between $40-$60. I asked for a soup and they were able to make it less spicy. My friend got a soup with dumplings in it. He put a good amount of soy sauce to give the broth some life. Also, the banchan is on point. We asked for a refill and devoured the second portions. If you wanna impress friends with Korean food, bring them here! Its a casual place.

Restaurant was half empty and no Ike which surprised us on a Saturday night. Ordered some bossam and chungukjang and it didn't taste the same as it used to couple years ago. Also they were cleaning the kitchen while serving food which was kinda not sanitary with all the water splashing on the floor of the kitchen while they were making food. Overall it's not what it used to be and cleaning the kitchen while making and serving food is not a good combo.

If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.
