Damaged property with minimal recompense. I have long been a strong advocate for Yellow sack, telling neighbors how easy and cost effective they are. During my last pickup we watched the driver drag the bag into our fence, bending the steel post about 10 degrees. Customer service initially offered $70 refunded, while repairing the fence would easily cost a few hundred, likely more. After a lot of back and forth, I finally suggested a $150 refund just have to have this over with and would attempt to fix the fence myself as I am in the trade. They then told me they spoke with the driver and would only be offering a $50 refunded unless I could show proof that the fence was not already bent before pickup. At this point I have wasted 2-3 hours when the company should have just made right on damaged property. I am very disappointed in how this was handled. If I had threatened to get insurance involved I am sure this would have been resolved very differently. While Yellowsack offers a great value, know any damages will not be handled honestly or with care. read more

I was amazed at how easy and efficient everything was. I ordered 1 large sack online, got it the next day, did a massive garage clean out, and realized I had to order 2 more which arrived the day after that. Once I was done filling up 2 out of the 3 bags that I had, I scheduled a pickup (paid online), and Yellowsack came the very next day! They sent a text immediately after I scheduled the pickup, and then they sent another one right after the bags were picked up the next day. I literally ran outside in hopes to see the process but I was too late. LOL. I only saw the truck, waved at the driver and gave him a thumbs up. Look if you are OK with their prices they are a great company that I can recommend. If you don't want the hassle of getting a permit and you have less than 5 bags worth of soil it'll be worth it getting this. Unfortunately they raised the prices by ~$20-30 per medium bag which caught me out. Ultimately though if you need more than 5.5 cubic yards of soil you can get a 9 cubic yard container from Recology for $800 but legally you need a permit for that as it has to be on the road. I feel like they make out they are good value but they really aren't if you need more than a few bags. read more

In our spring cleanings we always seem to end up with a pile of waste too large to dispose of in trash can or with extra trash bag tags, but too small to really be worth hiring a trash hauling company to come haul it away. This time I went with Yellowsack rather than spend time trying to break it down for disposal or hire a hauler who ends up overcharging due to "minimum charges." Definitely would use again, was super convenient (and very cathartic) to get rid of a very large container of trash without having to get quotes and deal much with scheduling. It was my first time using Yellowsack debris collection service in Menlo Park, in San Mateo County and I was taken by the innovation of their website and by the concept of sending you a initially a nylon woven bag to store and use when you are ready. The bag that is sent to you varies in size and it varies in price depending on what kind of debris you have and it is all classified and priced in their website (transparent pricing). My experience was extremely satisfying because it gives you flexibility once you get your bought bag and fill it up, followed by you contacting Yellowsack to schedule you for pick-up.
