Slap yo mama good bbq sandwich! The Florida Cracker pulled pork sandwich with Golden bbq sauce, fried onions, spicy pickles, coleslaw and bacon is the perfect combo of flavors and textures. This is a two-handed sandwich that aims to please. The only thing that could have made this meal better would be a side of fried pickles or season fries. The restaurant has a very cool vibe with some inside seating but mainly covered outside tables. On the weekends they offer live music on the patio. Service was extremely fast once you place your order at the counter. We definitely will be back for more. And I'll will make sure to buy a bottle of their Golden Bbq sauce. It was tangy and sweet mustard base sauce but unlike most mustard bbq I eat this everyday. read more

I have not one bad thing to say about this place! Absolutely delicious food, competent staff and wonderful portions. Seriously this place is great and I WISH they had one closer to me. My favorite dish is the Johnny Rocket: Honey Mesquite Roasted Turkey, Raspberry Melba, Mild Cherry Pepper Rings, tomato, smoked gouda, lettuce and Cointreau Mayo served on thick Multigrain Bread. Man oh man oh mannnn. This sandwich is amazing. I usually order To Go (they may be only doing to go due to covid but I am unsure) and I love that they always put the Raspberry Melba on the side, so it's never soggy when I get home and I can decide how sweet I want it (I usually just dip it) . I usually opt for no mayo and extra cherry peppers and they get it right every time! Highly recommend this place!! read more

A friend wanted to take me here while I was visiting; they had never been but it had a reputation for good food. We sat on the back patio at the bar and the bartender was on her phone more then she was taking care of the guest. We ordered two sandwiches and two local craft beers. The beer was cold (but served in a plastic cup) and the sandwiches were of an XL portion and a delicious combination of ingredients. Food was great, service not so much. read more

Something about the ambiance, the comfort you find when ordering delicious food, & the service that makes yellow dog so unique. This trendy restaurant, a hidden gem of Gotha, Windermere's one and only place for my favorite Yellow Dogs Pulled pork!! The pork just falls apart it is so tender, with its unique tangy with a little bit of spice sauce, the sweet bread it's the perfect combination for my favorite sandwich here at yellow dog. It's very exciting to see how far this place has come and how much it has expanded! Our first trip to yellow dog was back in 2010, back when the van was blue and was on the side from where the stage is! Now no more Volkswagen bus, but a second floor and some great expansion later, this is still one of our favorites. read more

One of my favorite restaurants since moving to Orlando. Yellow Dog Eats is where I want to go when I've been having a rough week and need a pick me up, or if I'm having a great week and want to keep it going with delicious food. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, and even when ordering takeout you'll get the same quality of food. I've been a couple times during the day and it's not overly crowded but my first time going on a Saturday night (pre-covid) was packed so it took a little more effort to find an open table. My boyfriend and I have found a couple things we really love so we tend to stick to the same shared order (Pulled Pork Nachos and White Trash) but everything I've had has been great! Come hungry because the portions are large, and trust me you'll leave full. Other things to know about eating at YDE: Ordering is at the counter inside, prices are very reasonable, they are dog friendly, and the outdoor seating is covered. :) read more

Sabrina was wonderful behind the bar. Food was outstanding but I went with 4 stars because the queso appetizers came with about 40% of the chips crushed into tiny pieces and I felt like for $13 the Pugnacious pug (Albeit delicious) was pretty small and the slaw was maybe 3 tablespoons worth. That is not a side, its a condiment IMO. read more

We came here at the recommendation of a friend while on our way to a local brewery and will be back! The restaurant was easy to find and in a pretty unique location, as it is residential and the restaurant looks like a home. It has a large parking area in the back as well as parking lot across the street. There is a beautiful courtyard I would love to come and spend the day just existing in. I saw a sign about a cat on the premises and I hope to run into them one day. The place is pet friendly and we saw plenty of four legged babies both in and outside the restaurant. The decor is unique and there is something to look at in every corner. The service was fast and the food was delicious! I got the "Holy Crap" which was better than I anticipated. Who doesn't love a sandwich with goat cheese?? My husband got the Salmon BLT which was surprisingly large for a salmon sandwich- most places skimp on fish. I can't wait to come visit again and actually stay to enjoy the ambiance. read more

This is my go to place when I am bored of the same things in restaurants. The vibe here is not comparable to anywhere in Central Florida. The place is clean, yet super relaxed with a well put together menu that changes every so often. Excellent food, drinks and a nice little getaway within a residential area of Gotha. I know there is another location in New Smyrna and I haven't been. I have been to this place about 20 times. It is a huge plus for vegans as they have good entress that are not just side dishes. read more

We discovered Yellow Dog Eats by accident a few years back and have been coming ever since. The BBQ is always delicious and as a fan of mustard based BBQ sauces, I couldn't be happier. Their sandwiches are fun and different, but are all crafted for amazing flavor. On this trip I had the White Trash which was good, but not my favorite sandwich, that still has to go to the Elvis. Service was good on this trip, but when it gets busy the front area does get a little crowded and congested. The only drawback is the seating situation where you have to go up a winding staircase. It's a little difficult to navigate with a tray of food at times. Overall, we keep coming back for the food and desserts. read more

Huge fan! Cute location, fun decor, old bus to entertain kids. Win-win-win. We ordered the pull pork nachos, they were delicious. My husband and I shared this and it was more than enough food. We ordered the kids a Quesadilla to share and added chicken on them (additional cost). All of us were happy with our meals, my 3yo couldn't stop dancing and both kids loved running around looking for a cat (there's a cat bed abs cat food out so they were on a mission). Lastly we ordered one slice of chocolate cake- delish! Totally worth trying. read more

YDE is a hidden gem. I remember I used to drive by this place as a kid and had no idea of all the deliciousness that was contained within. ~ COVID19 updates~ They are restricting seating to outdoor seating only which means you may find yourself waiting a bit depending on when you go but it is worth it. ~Food~ 1) Twisted tuna and a side slaw (5/5). The sandwich is a tuna salad sandwich that is like a tuna melt with avocado, raspberry spread and it was delicious. 2) Chips and queso (5/5). Housemade queso with flavor bomb #3--- pineapple salsa, fried onions, thai chili and scallions paired with chips is a must have appetizer. For all their sandwiches and wraps, they have innovative flavors and tasty fusion combinations. I don't think you can go wrong w/ any of their options. ~Parking~ They have a parking lot out behind the restaurant and additional parking in a nearby lot. What a great place. Excellent Cracker sandwich with very tasty pulled pork not at all sloppy or greasy. Homemade coleslaw was delicious. Also had the smoked chicken salad loaded with greens, veggies, fruit , nuts with tons of balsamic glazed chicken. Wish I lived closer so I could come here more often. I had the Grilled Vegemite and it was tasty. However, the veggie pieces were waaay too big for bitting off. It was very frustrating to eat such a tasty sandwich and be so afraid of pulling out a large piece of (eggplant or sqush...) veg too large to fit into one bite. The sauce was great, but honestly, I was a little confused why they included the word "Vegemite" in the title. After a quick revisit to the menu, no, that very ingredient is not even included? Yes, I admit it freely, I do rather like vegemite!! Especially when included in sandwiches! I would rate YDE, but I feel like they have been struggling since "full on" open. read more

I've been going to Yellow Dog Eats since it opened, but I've got to admit, it had been a while since I had been recently. The new outdoor seating area was a pleasant surprise. More room inside fora queue without all the tables in the way and great seating outside in a comfortable environment. Love it! Mix that with awesome sandwiches (although I'm sad the Puppy Love isn't on the menu anymore) and awesome BBQ - this is a must do for any foodie in the Orlando area. I personally love the Johnny Rocket which is this amazing mix of sweet and savory on a turkey sandwich but everything I've had is amazing. Sandwiches come with chips and a very small coleslaw but the sides you can add are awesome. The tomato and mozzarella is my favorite with some extra balsamic on top. Yum! Save room for deserts - they are amazing and locally made. Can't wait to come back - and I won't wait as long this time! read more

Fantastic barbecue sandwiches and wraps here. They put together their meats with some very creative additions and make deliciousness. It's not a super fancy spot - just a converted house and partially paved parking lot - but you're not here for fancy. It's funky and eclectic and cool. We ordered at the register and took seats upstairs. It wasn't long until my name was called and my sandwich was ready. I chose the "Fire Pig" which has a base of pulled pork and then they add gouda cheese and coleslaw and Sriracha in a chipotle pepper wrap. I expected more "fire" but this was mild and flavorful. And huge. It's hard to spend more than $15 here. Just about every wrap or sandwich is $10.95. Plus some interesting beers. And a cooler with delicious treats. Yum! read more

This place is consistently worth the drive. When I lived on that side of town, it was a staple. Now that I live on the other side of the city, I am still willing to make the drive for the sandwiches. The salmon BLT is something you just can't find anywhere else. You also can't go wrong with the Holy Crap or the Johnny Rocket, though I've yet to taste anything here that isn't delightful. Hands down my favorite BBQ restaurant in Florida! I've been going here since I ate meat, which is almost 7 years ago. Started with the Florida cracker and i was sold. Now I get the salmon or whatever monthly special they have that fits my dietary needs. Al sways bring home a couple bottles of bbq sauce and some hot chow chow. The homemade desserts are amazing. The ambiance is through the roof, like you're at a crazy neighbors house at a bbq, and the staff are all so friendly! read more

My wife recommended this place and I'm glad I listened to her because it was amazing! From beginning to end everything was a great experience. The hostess was very nice and made conversation on the way to our table. Our waiter was polite, personable and attentive. The bread they bring out is my new favorite thing to eat as I wait for the mail meal. Our food was delicious! I had the ribs and definitely will come back for more. On another note, my wife and I noticed a visually impaired employee working there. She folded the cutlery and wrapped it, I appreciate this establishment for giving her that opportunity. Fish Morgan is a man who needs very little introduction. He is known as a food artist, wine sommelier, entertaining host, pretty good skier and all around good at a lot of things. He decided early on that he loved food and making people happy so he went to the Culinary Institute of America, and studied for years with master chefs. The concept was created by the former Miller Ale House President/COO and his family to provide a healthier option for fast casual food.
