The service was good the lady who took care of our old golden girl did a very nice job. ( Christina) We were unaware that you can no longer pay at the main counter for grooming if you are paying by credit or debit card, unless you're paying with cash. I never carry cash, and I always take out cash for a tip when paying. Well today I couldn't. They now have you pay right at the grooming counter which doesn't allow you to add the tip to the bill or take cash out. I felt SO BAD. I was not able to leave Christina a tip. What a stupid set up Pet Smart. I think most people pay with a card, and not everyone carries cash. So now I wasn't able to give this poor lady her tip. I live a half hour away, and I'm not sure when I'll be back in that area. The 3 stars is for pet smart, not the groomer. To her I give 5 stars.

I needed help finding a type of dog food and so, I asked a woman who looked like she worked there…read morefor some help locating the food as she went walking by me and she notified me that she was on her lunch break, and that the bag of food was "somewhere in the area" because she had "remembered seeing it around there somewhere" and she just walked off and left me standing there wondering why she didn't at least use that little walkie-talkie on her belt to ask somebody else that wasn't on their lunch break to come help? I ended up mentioning it to the store manager after cashing out at the register. He apologized for her behavior and said, that "he was gonna have a talk with her about it." I've never had even a remotely similar experience with an employee of any business in my life. It was pretty disappointing that she was more concerned about getting to her lunch break then putting the least amount of effort forth possible when a customer was in need of some help.

We met the owner. She was friendly. She seemed to know the personality of every pet in her store. She let us hold 2 different hedgehogs. That was a super cool experience! They also have ferrets, sugar gliders, snakes and lizards, and adorable hamsters. They have several animals there just to look at, that are not for sale. It's a neat way to see certain animals upclose. One such animal is a prairie dog. Her name is Minnie Too. She is adorable. I want one! (Too bad they are illegal as pets.) Now down to the gross snake "food", rats. According to my brother, the rats here are the best quality rats in town. The super jumbo rats are small and pricey but at least they are not super scrawny like other places. All in all, it is a neat little place to visit even if you are not in the market for a pet.
