Our dogs were groomed by Mandie and she was amazing! She took great care of our dogs and she did an exceptional job of handling them with kindness. Her attention to detail made all the difference. The employees are OK except very undereducated and trained. Their prices, without the specials, are higher than other stores. In general, with the 10% specials, the prices are about equal to the prices you can get at Walmart for the products I buy for my cats. Here is an example of where they fell short for me. They sent me a card giving 25% off my entire purchase. The 25% discount would have given me a good savings, so I put over $200 in products at regular price but considerably less with the discount. The total on the receipt did not give me the 25% discount. I tried to reason with the cashier, but they obviously failed her math classes. I went ahead and paid for the purchase and went to my car, got out my calculator, and figured the price. I was right. The receipt figured wrong, charging me about $20 more than it should have. I went back in and tried to show the cashier and a "supervisor." It was like talking to a brick wall, with no courtesy and empathy. They treated me like I did not know what I was talking about, did not try to figure the price themselves, and gave me a lame reason why the register figured the price right. At that point, I gave up and left. That said, other than as to knowledge and/or empathy for clients when the client has a legitimate concern, the employees are courteous and helpful. Since I am retired and have six cats at this time (some I am fostering), price is more important than the service. I can still carry my purchases out to the car. read more

The employees here are so kind and knowledgeable! I went in with questions about dog food and a sweet gal (I want to say her name was Heather) came and helped me pick out something. She flipped the bag and we read the ingredients together and she made sure to break all of them down for me so I knew exactly what I was purchasing. She was so kind and patient. I'm very impressed with this store, the employees and product. My husband & I just moved here so we were searching for a new store for all of our pet needs, needless to say this will be our new go to spot. I would like to give John a shoutout for his superb service. On 10/24/23 around 3:15p I was in store comparing food for my picky dogs. John asked if I needed help and I asked him for advice on the dog foods I was comparing. He was so incredibly knowledgeable about the products your store carriers and also about the ingredients (what they do and what they're good for). What a great addition to the Amarillo pet community! We were greeted as soon as we entered the store. Our associate remembered which dog food we buy and loaded it into our cart. My hubby is an avid aquarium fan and he was very impressed with how well the fish were cared for and the cleanliness of the Aquariums. They have a large selection of Nylabones and other chew toys. Our dog loves the bed we bought for her on our last visit. After checkout an associate carried our dog food to our truck and loaded it! I am a rewards member and saved $5.00 on my purchase. Those girls were fantastic. My dog was so relaxed when Madi picked him up from my arms. I knew my dog would be OK. She knew I had to have him done and be at the vet and voluntarily came in a 1/2 hour early. That's great customer service. I highly recommend both Madis at pet supplies plus for grooming. read more
