I needed help finding a type of dog food and so, I asked a woman who looked like she worked there for some help locating the food as she went walking by me and she notified me that she was on her lunch break, and that the bag of food was "somewhere in the area" because she had "remembered seeing it around there somewhere" and she just walked off and left me standing there wondering why she didn't at least use that little walkie-talkie on her belt to ask somebody else that wasn't on their lunch break to come help? I ended up mentioning it to the store manager after cashing out at the register. He apologized for her behavior and said, that "he was gonna have a talk with her about it." I've never had even a remotely similar experience with an employee of any business in my life. It was pretty disappointing that she was more concerned about getting to her lunch break then putting the least amount of effort forth possible when a customer was in need of some help. read more

I will buy GOLDFISH elsewhere. The attendant with the fish was concerned when I asked for 18 goldfish in separate baggies. I explained that I'm giving away individual fish at my Children's Ministry event to deserving kiddos. He then told me he wasn't sure if I'd be taking good enough care of them, but he will sell them to other customers who take them home to feed their big fish! Grooming department does an amazing job with my Husky mix Nelson always comes home looking amazing and with so much less hair.

I'm leaving them a 1 star for many reasons. I purchased dog food online to be picked up. I got to the store and asked for my order someone was told to go get it. After coming back they told me they were out of stock in the one I ordered and issued a refund but I was told I could still get the smaller bag if I needed to. I was completely out of dog food and my dog requires a specific brand and type so I needed to just buy the smaller one. I told them I would go back to get it because I was being nice. I go back where the dog food was and find that right in the middle of the isles is the original bag I ordered? So I bring it up to the front and told them why was I told they were out when I just found it myself. I told them I still wanted that dog food since I just purchased it and had to be issued the return. They got a manager and said I would still need to repurchase it because they had already issued the return. LONG STORY SHORT, if they would have just looked correctly instead of half ass looking my time wouldn't have been wasted on finding something in point two seconds at a place I don't even work at OR just giving me the food I originally purchased and cancelled the return. read more

I ad a good groomers for Petco for years, but into a new manger now were ugly .... After of a groomer my Neece was now of have no hearing . One that a groomers was to that on of and was did only it. Why was not mad/mean of me of tips or thing, ? ? .. She was that Neece was a Assistance Animal for me. I use to tips and allot of the store of years and love that store. I was the of owner of Petco to talk her.. If I had a tape or picture ect was all of in before a Judge of Petco the groomer...and manager. Vet was for Neece this all this.. The I have took talking about the owner I look that both Animals as on better again other again now. I have a e mails if other want to see then any your animal. I have a Siberian husky. Nuff said right?!?! I will however complement the groomers at this location for the spectacular job that they did for me and my dog. These groomers saved my sanity and quite literally saved my dog from heat stroke with the de-shedding and trim they gave her. If I could send them a bouquet of beer I would! read more

I see why this has two stars. Had to get a retractable leash, and there was poop all in the isle right when I walked in. After standing there and picking one out the employee accused my dog of pooping in the isle, and gave me attitude when I told her it was not my dog. If you can avoid this store. Do so. read more

As far as my dog's haircut goes, they did a good job. When it came time to pay...it was nickle and dime...I feel I was charged for the package then again for some individual services that were in the package. I have not been able to get resolution for this and probably will not take my dogs back there. read more

Not as satisfied as I used to be with the grooming department. There seems to be more apathy and less motivation to please the customer. I took my older dog and she was extremely stressed out with her nail clipping. The "free nail clip" coupon I added to the order was not processed and the checker said there was no way to give me credit. I will find another place to groom this older dog in the future. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE!!! I would not recommend their grooming to anyone!!! Their system is so bad, never up to date. They either could never find me as a customer when I had been in plenty of times or they had wrong info in my file. Their communication is horrid! Their workers do not communicate their guidelines prior to coming in. They had said my dogs rabies shot was expired, when it wasn't. When I called my vet, my vet said they didn't expire until the end of the week but Petco was tying to say they expired 3 months prior. Wrong. So I decided to go ahead to get my dogs shots done any way to get it out of the way. I called Petco back and communicated that I was going to get his shots anyway and asked if it was ok if I still brought him in that afternoon. They said YES, as long as I brought his records in. So I drove 40 minutes to Petco because I live further away- just to find out that they wouldn't be able to take him because they needed to wait 24 hours after he had his shots. Understandable, but THEY DID NOT COMMUNICATE that on the phone!!!!! So I drove 40 min just to find out they wouldn't be able to groom him. So because of the inconvenience on THEIR PART, they were going reschedule my appointment to the following day. I had also communicated that my dog had fleas and was just put on the pill and was being treated for them. He said it would be no problem to take him in. When I got there the second time, I told them to be careful because he had a scab in his back from the fleas. They then tell me that technically they wouldn't be able to take him because of having "an open wound" but that they would anyway because of my problems earlier. 1. It wasn't an open wound, it was a scab! 2. They also never communicated this prior. I'm beyond frustrated. Please hire people that communicate the rules and guidelines to the customer prior to coming in so that you don't have to send them home. And people who know the guidelines! read more

I'm partial to Petco because they team up with a fairly local no kill shelter that takes pitbulls. My baby 4 legged is a pit, so this is a cause close to my heart. Staff is quite knowledgeable and friendly. Can't say the same about Petsmart though. read more

Worst customer service ever. There employee Raylene believes speaking to customers as if she better than you is unacceptable. My children wanted a few fish and because we already had 2 patys in a 20 gallon tank she refused to sell us 3 neon tertas because there wasn't enough room in our tank for any more fish. She was extremely rude to my children and even told me, "i SAID i will be there when i am finished ". I wasnt even talking to her but to my children who were so excited to get fish, but walked out crying with nothing. read more

We had 2 appointments set 12:00 for one 3:30 for the other. They said they couldn't guarantee the 3:30 done by 7 pm so canceled that one. The other dog was left for a bath and cut dropped off at 12:00. Went to check on him at 4:00 and he had been bathed then crated for the whole time. They overbooked their apparent amateur skills. He was upset whining and shivering, which he never has with any other groomer. We paid for a bath which he was still wet from after all the time he was there. Very unhappy with flippant attitude of groomer. Will NEVER go back!!! read more

We take our dog here once a month for grooming. We've had the pleasure of being helped by many employees but Rachel in particular has gone above and beyond for our dog. He loves seeing her and being groomed by her and we couldn't be happier whenever she is done doing her thing. read more

So disappointed in their grooming customer service. I took my dog in for grooming and they cut two of his nails too short. The nails looked fine during the "7 point check" but started bleeding profusely when we got home and he went outside to relieve himself. They bled all weekend long: causing him pain, dirtying the carpets and his bed and requiring much care. I called Monday to discuss this with Petco and was offered nothing... only blame and excuses. Getting a dog groomed is expensive but is worth the money for the convenience. This particular grooming was expensive and HIGHLY inconvenient; especially if we end up having to take him to the vet in event that his nails won't stop bleeding. On the bottom of the grooming paper it says "100% satisfaction guarantee: We guarantee you will be happy with your pet's service or we'll make it right" This could not be further from the truth. I will no longer be a customer of Petco in any fashion. read more

Petco overall is a great store. Always clean and most items you need or want are there. I wish they had more stock in leash and harness options as well as dog toys. I take both of my pups there to get groomed and the grooming staff is always great! Holly takes care of my pups as if there were her own. She always is able to answer my questions and give me different suggestions on how to take care of them! read more

Bad service today in the fish department. I wanted plants and did not get any help. I truly think this guy did not want to get his hands wet. I asked three times while he was doing paper work and I finally said, if you don't want to help me then I will leave, which I did. I'll never go back.
