This little pet shop is so dang cute. It is under new ownership and they have really turned it around. All of the animals are in clean cages with ample room, and they are all clearly loved and cared for. The stories bright, clean, and welcoming. The employees are very kind and insightful, and have no problem pulling the little critters out for you to pet. We really enjoy visiting this establishment and will continue to do so as often as we can! read more

Smells horrible! This is the first thing you notice when you walk in. The smell. It's a mixture of smoke and poorly cleaned animal cages. Place had a lot of animals but most of the cages looked pretty nasty. Worker said one thing to me and that was to yell at me for touching the cages with the puppies in it.... not to mention they had multiple puppies in tiny cages together. Place could have potential if it cleaned up there store, got rid of the smell, larger cages for animals and friendly staff. Wasn't very impressed but they did have the more exotic pets such as sugar gliders, hedgehogs, prairie dogs, and some birds. read more

I had a very different experience than the previous reviewer..this place is always dirty and the pets seem ill treated to me. The guy that works there smokes and always has a real attitude. They get their ferrets from large scale breeders Marshall Farms known for selling weak, sick animals and who provide animals to vivisection labs to be experimented on. I didn't know this till after I bought one from them and started studying up on ferret health concerns. I would not recommend this place. Mom and Pop or not, I just dislike almost every aspect of this store. read more

My brother and I discovered this place while driving around. He was very excited as he has several snakes and is always looking for a place that sells quality "food" for snakes. We met the owner. She was friendly. She seemed to know the personality of every pet in her store. She let us hold 2 different hedgehogs. That was a super cool experience! They also have ferrets, sugar gliders, snakes and lizards, and adorable hamsters. They have several animals there just to look at, that are not for sale. It's a neat way to see certain animals upclose. One such animal is a prairie dog. Her name is Minnie Too. She is adorable. I want one! (Too bad they are illegal as pets.) Now down to the gross snake "food", rats. According to my brother, the rats here are the best quality rats in town. The super jumbo rats are small and pricey but at least they are not super scrawny like other places. All in all, it is a neat little place to visit even if you are not in the market for a pet. read more

Needs to be shut down. He does not take care of the animals. Smells like cigarettes inside. Been looking for hamsters. He had some babies so we TRIED to pay for them he said no and come back when there ready to leave momma. We went to pick them up when they were ready and he said no they are spoken for. He complained the the pandemic hit him hard. Yet is super rude. Was gonna spend some money in there to help him out. We decided to get a baby hamster just so we could maybe get them out of that horrible place. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. read more

I bought a Guinea pig from there a few weeks ago and I do not recommend them. My piggy came back with mites. He was MISERABLE. He had sores on his body and kept itching so bad. I had to take him to the vet to get treated. On top of that the animals looked so sad and it wasn't cleaned at all. This place needs to be inspected. It's so sad. read more

I once bought a puppy from this place and I was super happy. After one week of having her she immediately got sick. She wouldn't eat or drink anything. We took her to the vet and she was diagnosed with Parvo and an intestinal parasite. She was only suppose to cost $100, but I ended up spending over 1,500 dollars for this puppy. Yes she is still alive but it is very irritating and alarming. The guy was very grumpy at the store for one. If I could give it negative stars I would. It's very upsetting to get attached to this animal and see it's ribs and bones, and then almost seeing it have to get euthanized. The store smells terrible. I can't speak for the animals health but I can for my dog. There were still my dogs brothers and sisters in that cage. God knows what happened to them. My dog is still alive and she is my best friend and I can say she is the best dog I've ever had because she is my miracle baby. I just don't want what happened to me to happen to anyone else. Came in here looking for a hedgehog for my daughter was helped by a gentleman there who was very nice! If your looking for honesty and a exotic pet ( even bunnies and kittens were there) this is a great place to go. I have to admit I was a tad apprehensive at first due to a review I read but I'm glad I go base my opinions for myself I was not in any way disappointed thank you for our newest addition to the family! I can't speak to the health of their pets, but the store smells horrible. My main complaint though, is the older guy who works there managed to take my credit card and hand me a receipt for my purchase with out saying ONE WORD. It struck me as super rude, and bad business if you are family owned and trying to compete with the likes of PetCo (where the minimum wage checkers can even manage to acknowledge you). This place is a good variety of pets to choose from. The store is decently cleaned. The only thing is I agree with Drew, that the smoking in the store has isn't necessary. I was looking at the puppies and "Pa" light up a cigarette right there in full costumer's view, myself. The only reason why I'd consider this pet store is because they are the only place in town that I have found hedgehogs at, if they didn't have the hedgehogs I myself would never set foot in that store again. Also, I asked how much the hedgehogs where, only 1 was for sale, in which I didn't mind. But the son couldn't give me much information about them. I recently purchased my dog from Pitter Patter and the guy was the same way to me. Really rude. On top of that it had an overwhelming smell as soon as I walked in. I'm glad I have my dog.
