If I could leave 0 stars, I would. There was a big conference in town, and I called weeks ago to reserve an early morning cab. I tried to leave my name to assure that there would be no issues, and I was told that I did not need to, and there would not be a problem. Well, low and behold, there was no cab waiting for me because there were many others who had tried to get a cab the day before. I arrived 10 minutes before my scheduled pick up at 4:30 AM, and there was no cab for 30 minutes. Multiple people who were waiting for a cab called during that time, and everyone had the same careless response of "we are sending a few cabs that way." Monterey is not that big, and Yellow Cab could have prepared a little better when passengers called the day before, let alone weeks before. I understand that there are only so many cabs, but simply being honest and saying "we don't have enough available drivers" would have saved a lot of people the stress and headache of trying to make an early flight. This is one reason why Uber and Lyft are far superior than yellow cab and why they have lost so much business. read more
