Biggest and baddest fish sandwich in town!
    Dan G.

By far the best fish sandwich in all of Southern California! Stacked high with tomato pickles and lettuce. Also available on sourdough bread, which makes this the absolute king of fish sandwiches! I defy you to find a better fish sandwich. Yellow Basket is the bomb! The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. Love this place!

The food was delicious! Great service and good coffee. I liked the ambiance and friendly staff as well. Will go back often! Thank you!

Came here for a quick bite eat and was craving a pastrami sandwich. I was shocked of the price but it was worth it. Very good and big sandwich. I highly recommend this spot. Will come back for breakfast lol

The service was great, they do mostly drive-thru orders here at this Carson location. Ample parking, clean bathroom, hot water access. You can tell a lot about a restaurant on the overall functionality of the bathroom and cleanliness. I ordered the fish and chips basket $14.99 The food was great ! Not quite the best quality of fish batter but still very good and cooked well almost like air fry system. The overall basket was great either way a mix of French fries and onion rings. It was paired with a very good carbonated coke and a house salad. For the price and quantity of the meal, it's definitely a hot item to get! I had to take half of the meal home, which was still good for dinner! I'll go again!

Well we were in the area after attempting to attend a funeral. My hubby was starving and mother in law was thirsty. We all agreed to sit down and eat rather than drive through to drive all the way home. The yellow basket has ample parking, restrooms avaiable for patrons. We walked in and immediately felt relief from the scorching temperature here in California. Thank you Yellow Basket ! We ordered food it arrived in a timely manner. Our drinks came first. We enjoyed the atmosphere here while dining in. You can tell they have regulars from the local area. There food was fresh and hot.

Bacon Avocado Cheese Burger 10/10 - full of flavor - good amount of bacon & avocado Zucchini Fries 10/10 - taste fresh - regular size is good enough to share with 2-3 people One of the best mom and pop restaurants there is in town. My family has been coming here for years. The service in this restaurant is really fast and friendly. They have a welcoming environment. You do have to pay extra for condiments. They also have bathrooms which was clean when I was there, just ask for the key:)

The chicken was all cut up not a whole chicken breast which I should have seen as a red flag. But I tried to enjoy it, thinking positive and enjoy my night. I finished the beer and ordered a small beer but I started feeling really dizzy during this time. And not from drinking. If you've ever been roofied you know this exact feeling. Things are moving slower. You're spinning. You don't have full control. And you could pass out at any second. Thankfully I got home but it continued in a shower I took to try and wake up, but that didn't work. On my sofa I passed out. And woke up the next day still not feeling good. Still needing to lay down and needing more sleep. Another night passed where I slept early. Like I was knocked out. And today, Friday I finally felt like it was all out of my system. And this all happened because I went to Slip. This is not a fluke. It was not an accident. It happened to me and it can happen to you too. It can happen anywhere maybe, or maybe not. But what's for sure is it happened to me there. If you're with Slip and you're reading this, do not try and make me an offer to return. I won't. Ever.

They had a kids menu as well and lots of side options. There were lots of Korean-inspired dishes as well like Kim chi fried rice. There was an entire menu just for different breakfast burritos. The turon pancakes really tasted like the real caramelized turon. It had a nice sticky syrup on top that wasn't too sweet. The pancakes came super hot and were fluffy. The portion size was great. The cilantro sauce on the burrito was delicious. The pickled veggies added nice acidity that I appreciated. The bad: I don't know if there was any parking other than street parking. We parked right out front which was 1 hour parking and to the side is 20 minute parking. The interesting: You order and pay at the counter and the food gets brought out to you. I saw they had fresh cookies baked as well. Inside, there were festive balloons. I am not sure if it's always there or if they were from a special event. I've tried their catering company too and it was great! I really love how both the cafe and catering company use fresh flowers on their food to elevate their presentation.

I was surprised at how large the "personal size" mac & cheese was -- it was very generous. We ended up sharing the pizza, mac & cheese, and coleslaw and still had plenty of food. The meal also came with two personal-size carrot cakes, which we took home for the next day. Even sharing just one was more than enough. Everything was delicious, but the carrot cake really stood out. Super moist, full of carrots and chunks of pineapple, and topped with an amazing cream cheese frosting. I ended up here not because of Yelp, but because another restaurant failed to open at 11 am, and I was on a time crunch. The restaurant is actually splint between a full-fledged bakery, a kitchen, and a dining area. I got the sense that the dining area was acquired from an adjacent storefront next to the existing bakery. The decor was certainly entertaining. Fake flowers and plastic quetzals adorn the dining area, reminiscent of the Tiki House at Disneyland. There are large posters of Guatemala in the store front, but all the staff spend most of the time behind in the kitchen. It took me a while to get the attention of the waitress to order my food. The menu items looked authentic, but the food was rather bland. I had the traditional Guatemelan sausage with beans and rice. I think the main attraction for the business is really the bakery. The restaurant is more of an afterthought. I did get some bread to go to share with my co-workers, and they were delighted. Three small bread sold for a dollar, which is a kick-ass deal, especially for how good they taste. I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here, but if I am inspired again to try some authentic Guatemelan bread, I'll swing by again.
