7.5/10 I finally got around to trying Yeastie Boys after hearing so much hype and seeing them all over social media . I ordered the Cheddy Wap, I wish I had added cream cheese or some kind of aioli because it ended up being really dry . I'm not sure if they usually offer spreads on the side , but without it, the sandwich just felt like something I could've made at home . It wasn't bad by any means the bagel itself was fresh, and the ingredients were good quality but it didn't wow me. Given all the buzz , I expected something more unique or elevated. Maybe it was my mistake for not ordering one of the options that already comes with a spread because I can see how that would have made a big difference in flavor. Overall, it was decent and tasty enough just not memorable . Probably not something I'd come back for , but if I do, I'd definitely try one of their sandwiches with cream cheese. Points because service was fast, portions good for price
The best gluten free bagel sandwich I've ever had! They also offer dairy free options. I ordered the Mishka and it was so damn good. The bagels are chewy and the sprouts are such a great addition. I got in on the gluten free everything bagel and I've honestly not had anything like it. The service staff are warm and friendly and I'll definitely recommend and return! Thanks yeasty! Addendum- I did feel symptoms after eating here. If you have celiac disease like I do, be careful and maybe chat with them about cross contamination. I didn't do that and suffered for it.
MIKE After a long morning at an estate sale I was SO hungry, and this place never fails. These bagels are hands down the best in town. Fresh, perfect texture, and always hit the spot when you need something good fast. If you love real bagels, this spot is a must.
It's always a treat when we get breakfast from there. Our favorite is the Cheddy Wap on a blueberry bagel. Make sure you guys give them a tip. They always are working so hard and that area in studio city gets really packed. You'd benefit better ordering before and just picking it up. Parking is kinda tricky in that area as well so bring someone who can just hop off and pick it up. This place is easily one of my go to places when I'm looking for some breakfast on the go.
I think Yeastie Boys is fine but I may have had my expectations too high from the hype on social media. I had an everything bagel with turkey, tomato, bacon, cream cheese and sprouts. It wasn't bad but the sprouts threw me off a bit. I think this was an example where less would've been more.
My three stars are based on the fact that some of what they offer deserves 5 stars and some just one. I'll start with the good stuff: FIVE STAR WORTHY I went with the classic... the Lox Deluxe. And I will say it excelled in everything that goes between the bread: the lox was of very high quality, the cream cheese creamy, the onion, tomato and capers fresh and in perfect proportion. There was a bit more cream cheese than I prefer (particularly since they refer to it as a schmear, which traditionally implies restraint, but it's easy enough to remedy that with a squeeze and a wipe. But in general, everything that went inside the bagel merits five stars. POINTS DEDUCTED FOR... So why only 3? The bagel itself and the attitude. I realize there are two schools of thought when it comes to bagels. Chewy or crunchy? Thick or thin? NY or Montreal. Well, I am a native New Yorker who grew up on big doughy bagels but converted to thinner and crunchier later in life. But even when I like my bagels big and airy, I expected a certain flavor. This bagel was doughy and lifeless. It reminded me of bagels you buy packaged in a grocery store. It was not worthy of the delicious lox it was showcasing. Of course, there is a simple remedy for that, scooping and toasting. I requested they do that, but was informed by the guy who took the order that the guy who makes the sandwiches doesn't like to scoop when they're busy. I offered to scoop it myself to which he replied, do you want a bagel or not? I did, so I asked for assurance that they toasted and he said they did. So I went with that, substituting an everything bagel for the sesame it usually comes with (they were willing to do that, which I appreciated). When I got my bagel, it felt doughy and flavorless (though what it heals was magnificent) I ate half and carried the rest home. When I got home, I deconstructed it, scooped the remaining half and toasted it twice. You can see it with and without toasting below. How would I compare it to Hank's or Courage Bagels. Hanks makes a (much) better bagel, and I love the variety. But YB has a better sense of proportion of the fillings and the fillings are at least as good. Neither approaches Courage if you don't mind the wait and the cost. Oh, speaking of the cost, I would say that $14 was reasonable given the quality of the lox. Not sure I'll try it again, but if I do, it'll be on a week day when they are less busy and hopefully willing to make it the way I like it.
Ordered the Smoked Salmon Lox Bagel sandwich. Delicious!! Highly recommend. I love bagel sandwiches!!! And this hit the spot. Right outside the Studio City Sunday morning farmers market. There's shade near the sidewalk so waiting for the food is chill. Service is a bit slow because it was busy, waited about 10 minutes for it. But it was worth!
I first heard of Yeastie Boys on Vanderpump Rules. Excited to stumble upon the food truck in Studio City and no line! Grabbed a half dozen bagels for $20 - these are huge and bready, not the NY style that I was expecting. I got 3 everything, 1 sesame and 2 plain. These were great toasted and next time I will try a sandwich!
Way too greasy for me. The bagel is okay but kind of the consistency of wet cardboard. A gut bomb. My least favorite thing about Yeastie Boys other than the ridiculous price ($7 for the baby lemonade? really) is that they mostly imported the rude, passive aggressive customer service from New York. I don't care for it in NYC at a well appointed restaurant but it is especially foul standing on a nasty dog shit stained street in Venice with the sun heating up the smell of homeless and other things as wrong as the price, grease, poor attitude and general entitlement of Abbot Kinney. Too many better places for bagels and everything else in LA, these are lost calories that are better spent almost anyplace else.
We ordered two different bagels from them, and neither came close to our expectation. The creams cheese felt too much and was very dominant in each bite. The salmon wasn't fresh and the bagels were also not fresh.
I'm excited to try different bagels from here but we were really happy with the ruebenstein! Delicious, perfect portion for breakfast and the pastrami in here was quality!! Very impressed with the way they cooked the meat. I always recommend getting a hash-brown :) Service was great, they were a bit slow because they were shorthanded but they were very nice and apologetic. It was a short line but I waited 20 minutes to order, and took less than 10 minutes to get my order. Next time I would love to try their mini bagels and their lox bagel sandwich.
I ordered the Cheddy Wap which was alright but kind of lacking flavor. Got it on a cheddar bagel which was just a bagel with a piece of cheese melted on top lol. Thankfully I ordered a hash brown and threw it on there and it helped a bit. The OJ was really fresh and delicious. Maybe it's because I'm from the east coast, but wasn't super impressed. It was just fine.
One of the better bagel spots in Los Angeles. Courage Bagels is still my favorite, but Yeastie Boys really delivers every time I stop by. It's run out of a food truck and they are very fast with the orders, you won't have to wait very long. Parking can be a bit tricky, but there are many different options in this area. Today we ordered the Lox Deluxe and the Cheddy Wap. The Lox Deluxe was my favorite of the two and had a great ratio of ingredients. Everything tasted fresh as well. The Cheddy Wap had a great spread and I loved all the cheese so would definitely recommend either. Overall, a really solid bagel and I definitely would recommend to anyone searching for a great to go option.

I guess there is a 1st time for everything. I have never heard or seen a Food Truck that sells bagels. Well, today around 11AM, I went to give them a try. Ordered a Lox Bagel with Cream Cheese, lettuce, and tomato, toasted. I also got Everything Bagel with Scallion Cream Cheese & sliced tomato. Both bagels were FRESH AND DELICIOUS!! They didn't skimp out on the ingredients. Also toasted. It was perfectly toasted to my own liking. Both guys inside the truck gave a nice welcome, and had a pleasant smile on their faces. Didn't have to wait to long for the food to come out. There were maybe 6 people before me. I ate both bagels right on the street. They have few outside seating, don't accept cash, have bottles/cans of cold drinks, have only street and metered parking, closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. This interesting truck dining experience has been around since 2014 and is owned by Jewish people. The truck goes to different locations. I went to the one close to my house and it is located in Ventura Place among other small boutiques, and restaurants. Will definitely return. Thank you all!! read more

Stopped by since they offer a gluten free choice of bagel. Location was good, just parking may be difficult. The lady one that took my order was extremely friendly and helpful since it was my first time stopping by. I got the Game Over bagel on a gluten free everytbing bagel. Gotta say that the bagel surprised me since most gluten free ones aren't as enjoyable realistically. But this one had good flavor and good texture. Besides that, the flavors they put on it were great and well balanced. I'd go back again for sure read more

I love these bagels! I got the cheddar bagel with light cream cheese and it was the perfect amount of cream cheese for me. This place always hits. I guess they only have one Yelp page for all the truck locations? I visited the Melrose spot and Martin helped me. He was incredibly friendly and offered a great attitude! I went with the Rubenstein and added a hash brown. I will say the only negatives are the pricing. The menu shows the sandwich at $13 but I was charged $15. And the hashbrown is $2 extra? A bit excessive for one hash brown eh. Besides the couple quirks above, the sandwich was outstanding. The bagel is crisped up so well and has great flavor. That pastrami though - wow. One of the best pastrami you'll find in LA. Thick slices, lean, tender, juicy, soft - it was delicious. Good amount of kraut, plenty of dressing, gooey cheese, couldn't have asked for a better set-up. Maybe next time I'll add some schmear and an egg to really take it up a notch! I'd probably give this place 3.5 stars! The bagel sandwich was good, but honestly I felt like the highlight was the filling rather than the bagel itself. Still enjoyed how fresh the meal was & liked the combination of the scallion cream cheese with the sprouts and cold cuts. As for service, it can take a little time to get your order (I think they're also fulfilling online orders?). It didn't take ridiculously long, though! read more

SO GOOD!!!! We got the bagels that have the hash brown in the middle, I forget what it's called, but it was absolutely delicious! It added such a delicious crunch to the bagel, it made my mouth water!!! The bagels were chewy, soft on the inside, and had a slight crunchy on the outside, it was so so good. I will definitely be back, and could probably eat these every single day if I could! The restaurant is actually a food truck, and parking is pretty complicated. You definitely have to explore the side streets to find a place, but do not give up on parking, this place is so worth it! The staff was really cool too, gives off cool edgy bagel food truck vibes...if that's makes sense. I will definitely be back! Hopefully ASAP read more
Anyone who lives in Sherman Oaks/Studio City most likely has driven by the Yeastie Boys food truck on the weekend along Laurel Canyon and Ventura Blvd. This is worth checking out for anyone who enjoys bagel sandwiches. The Game Over is scrambled egg, bacon, tomato cheddar jalapeño smear on a cheddar bagel. It can get a bit messy so I recommend getting extra napkins or for those who know the drill, don't forget to bring extra paper towels along with your hydro flask. Also because it's a food truck, there is no dining area but you can walk a few steps to Alfred Coffee nearby to get a coffee to go along with your bagel sandwich and they have plenty of dining tables. read more

SERVICE - food truck located in Studio City - street parking only which can be hard to find on the weekends - can order online and pick up or order at the window - workers are busy so do not take much time to greet customers - bagels served quickly - bag upon request MENU - bagels, spreads, and sandwiches - vegan options available - average price ($8 for bagel sandwich) FOOD - mishka (7/10): roasted red pepper spread, tomato, red onion, and sprouts on an everything bagel. I liked the variety of vegetables in the sandwich and the quantities were balanced well. There was a good amount of spread to prevent the bagel from drying out. No, no and no!! So I've had an experience at two locations. The one in Abbot Mckinney when I arrived my friend and I were excited to try them. We got there prior to opening and they told us their bagel person hasn't arrived so they can't take our order. Okay so why say your opened when you cannot accommodate at the time you are opened. We even waited 10mins after opening and still no bagels so we left. We tried again and went to the Studio city location and ughhh no thanks. Sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese it was super dry, very heavy and flavorless. There was hardly any cream cheese on it. No thanks hard pass for me. YEASTIE BOYS HAS MY ENTIRE HEART. OH MY GOODNESS!!! DO NOT WALK, RUN !!! If you are in LA, idk why you aren't there yet !! It's absolutely delicious !!! Sooo filling & if you go to the one on Melrose, Alfred's is right there so you can grab yourself a chagacinno with your bagel! I typically make my own since I'm picky, but the service is incredible, the workers are sooo nice !! The food truck itself is sooo cute & such a nice area in itself. I RECOMMEND making your bagel Heavy !! The hashbrown adds an UMPH you need ! Your life will change. If I was able to be sponsored, I think my life would be complete & I could call it a day and just become deceased. The bagels are soooo fluffy and delicious. PLEASE GO TRY YEASTIE BOYS. Wow, WHAT A REVIEW…
It's no secret that LA is lacking in quality bagel spots. Coming from NY, LAs bagels have been lacking. BIG TIME. The size and amount of cream cheese...I mean it's no wonder people be roasting their bagels out here. They're pretty bad. But Yeastie Boys is the exception!! I go to the Studio City Truck. And they're always fire. The quality of bagel is doughy and the seasonings are always the right amount. We love their lox and they're always super fast with service!! Of course they're not as generous with the amount of cream cheese like NYC is but it's still quality cream cheese. These guys deserve more love. Definitely my go to over western or Noah's and is the closest I'll get to city bagels. read more
I had been wanting to try Yeastie Boys for years now. I finally got the chance to try them at the Studio City farmer's market, when they were doing a pop up collab with the Hulu series "Only Murders in the Building". The spicy cheddar cream cheese is SO MF GOOD. Their marketing techniques are smooth bc trying that bagel for free had me wanting to come back next weekend for more at full price. I can't speak for the rest of the menu but I definitely want to try more!! It's also cool to see how they've been supporting the writer's strike going on recently. read more
While visiting LA my friend and I stopped by this food truck for some brunch! We both ordered the same bagel sandwich, one sans bacon for vegetarian needs and I added a hash brown on the side. Their menu is small, but large enough to accommodate a variety of palettes. The bagel sandwiches were filling and a good portion of ingredients. Grab napkins because you'll need them! I was disappointed when I reviewed my receipt that the hashbrown was $3 when their menu stated $2 to add to any sandwich... maybe the up charge was because it was on the side and they needed to use a piece of food wrapper? LA nickels and dimes you for every piece of packaging I feel. I also asked for ketchup and the guys working the truck acted like I was a burden...maybe just the vibe of LA..ha! And they didn't have ketchup fyi. I would return as it's an affordable brunch option and the wait time was reasonable. read more

I wanted to see what the hype was with this popular bagel food truck in LA... there was no hype :( I visited the Studio City location and the service was great, but the food was okay. I also did not have to wait too long for my bagel. In my opinion, there are other tastier breakfast bagels that don't cost $12. I got the Game Over and my friend got the Cheddy Wap, both bagels were both on the salty side, might've been the bacon or the egg was over salted. They both had cheese, cream cheese, and egg. They look delicious and appetizing, but the bagel itself was pretty bland. Yeastie Boys is an overhyped LA bagel food truck. I love the personalize connections I experienced when placing my order, but too expensive for a breakfast bagel. read more
