Second time eating at Yaz's table and it did not disappoint! I had the Yaz's Table Salad and my partner had the Egyptian Beef Tacos. Food here is high quality and super tasty. We went for an early lunch on a Wednesday but the place was still quite busy. We even stopped at the bakery next door to take home a goodie - the lemon meringue pie was sooooo good! Went here for breakfast. We were seated outdoors. The atmosphere is nice (playing Indian music outdoors). It would be nicer when the street construction is finished out front. Our waiter was attentive and accommodating. The food was great. I got the pulled pork Benedict (I like it, don't love it -- could go without the pulled pork). I love the crispy shallots on top. The hollandaise sauce was perfect and authentic to their restaurant. The sirarcha bacon was great (similar time billionaire bacon with sugar coating). The sultans bowl was amazing! What can I say about this place? Not only was the food TO DIE for but the staff was the friendliest, most helpful and synergistically helpful to each other (and to us). Refilling coffee and water before it was even half gone. Our server, Yago, was pure joy. He was amazing, as were the rest of the staff and the lovely owner whom we met as we were getting ready to leave. When telling her how great her staff was, she said "We hire souls not bodies here". How amazingly profound and I LOVE that. Even the bathroom was nice. 5 stars and we will go back and try the lunch options. Well worth the 40 min drive down. Poached egg perfect, but entire bowl was filled with roasted potatoes. Too many potatoes. Would have liked a vegetable in place of half of these potatoes. It was my first time there and don't know if I'd go back due to the noise level. It seems you need to compete with other tables and music to have a conversation. Updating my review to 4 stars based directly on the improvements since my last visit. My previous problems with the place included poor table/time management and front staff awkwardness, which seems to have resolved. The hostess on our recent visit was more professional and it seems they've implemented a texting system to notify you when your table is ready. The food, just as last time, was excellent. I was surprised how much I enjoyed their rendition of chicken and waffles with just the right level of sweetness from the maple and crisp crust. For the grand bowl, the seasonal veggie variety is fresh and yummy, but beware the lack of pricing on add-ons (hint, it's not cheap). Our server was really nice and he came back a few times to check on us. The atmosphere was definitely warm and inviting. The wait time to get seated and to get food still FEELS brutal, but better than before as well. read more

You couldn't have a conversation with the person across the table cause everyone was yelling above the loud music. Had a side of French toast and it was Cold. DW and I went for brunch. The food was good but I had one issue that left a bad taste in my mouth. First. I got The Sultan Short Rib, Red Bliss & Sweet Potato Home Fries, Caramelized Onions, Poached Farm Egg, Candied Sriracha Maple Bacon, Crispy Leeks, Harissa Hollandaise. Oh is that what those small circles were. I really liked the short rib meat. Very flavorful. The bacon was a bit sweet (as advertised). But didn't notice sriracha at all. DW got BASTURMA Egyptian 'Prosciutto', House Pesto. She generally likes it but the Prosciutto was too much. She likes it at first but not as much as she at it. The issue was the coffee. We both got decaf. Asked for a refill. She explained no free refills on the decaf. The regular coffee is fresh brewed and refills available. But the decaf is from pods and would need another pod. HUH!! You charged me $4 for a small coffee from a Keurig pod'? That's high with refills never mind without. Everywhere else gives refills at a cheaper much price. And she didn't mention it when I told first ordered nor was it in the menu. Sorry but that left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

My husband and I first heard about Yaz's table after seeing it featured on "Chronicle," the nightly Boston news magazine show. We decided to try it for brunch with friends. Situated in an unassuming strip mall in Abington, the outside bears little resemblance to the amazing delights awaiting your palate inside, and the cozy ambiance of the rooms and attached gift shop. The brunch menu pictures were enough to make me drool even before seeing our plates. I ordered an awesome French toast dish festooned with whipped cream and layered like slices of caramel cake. My husband ordered a Birthday Cake waffle similarly decorated, but with the addition of colorful sprinkles. Our friends ordered grilled cheese and mushroom sandwiches cooked to perfection with epicurean toppings to add a savory flavor. We all wished we could order more of the tasty looking items, but we already were taking home half of our extremely filling portions! So it looks as if we'll be returning soon and often to try more of their unique offerings. See if you can resist their online menu! read more

But once we got into the dining room, it was so loud that I couldn't even hear my husband talk and he was sitting right across from me. Food was pretty bland, lacked any flavor and there's no salt/pepper on the tables. My husband and I were excited about the donut holes (red velvet). They were huge and super dense and had no flavor what so ever. The drinks were good, but wildly overpriced. Our waitress was nice but never checked in during our meal. Someone else dropped the food to us and we both sat there without any drinks and empty water glasses. When we finally flagged her down, we just wanted the check. Just an update! I went back on a weekday a little earlier and we only waited about 15 min. It was a much better experience. We also got to meet and chat with the owner who is absolutely so kind and knowledgeable about food and the dishes she serves. I was so extremely impressed. You have to go here at least once in your lifetime. A lot of thought and love goes into each and every item on the menu and I recognize that's why there is usually that long of a wait. TBH i wouldn't bother getting the home fries though. They were kinda tasteless + dry. I love the atmosphere & the story behind this place! Yaz's Table supports local farmers. They are a farm-to-table kitchen restaurant, which means everything is made from fresh ingredients that are locally grown. Everything is made from scratch, which is why it's made from love. The owner, Yaz, is usually at the restaurant making sure customers are comfortable. There's usually Egyptian music in the background, giving it that Middle Eastern vibe. The décor & atmosphere is so cozy that even the restroom deserves a mention. Disclaimer: There are no reservations, its first come, first serve. I highly recommend that you call in advance to check the wait time. I went on a Saturday around 11 & the wait time was about 1hr & 30 min. This was also due to the rainy weather, which caused the outdoor patio to be closed. Try to avoid weekends but if you do go on a week, head there before 10am. (The wait is usually less than 30 min.) They have a waiting list, but someone has to be physically there to sign up. There's also a $5 COVID 19 Recovery Assistance Fee that gets added to your check. If you are uncomfortable with this fee for any reason, you may let your server know & they will remove it from your check. Come early and be prepared to wait. We came in at 10:50 on a Saturday and the estimated wait for two was 75-90 minutes. We also heard others echoing the same thoughts we had: Damn we wish we had called ahead to ask. Luckily, there's a heated waiting area with some seating available (not enough for everyone waiting, but enough that you won't have to stand the entire time). The donut of the month was red velvet and it was huge and delicious. The sweetness was just right. The texture was clearly that of a donut, but there was a dash of red velvet in every bite. I'm glad it wasn't just red velvet cake shaped into balls. It was freshly made and you could tell. I ordered a burger and the amount of sauce was perfect. It barely felt like I was eating a burger - and I mean that in a good way. Often times I feel "heavy" after eating a burger, but this just went down like water. The texture was so divine! I would have given 5 stars... but I was a bit upset by the fact we were being rushed out. when we first arrived, we ordered one drink (which was so delicious) and our meal. while we were still picking at our food (about 30 min into being there) we were finishing up but wanted to get one more drink. we were told they could only offer us to go drinks, as they were at max capacity. meanwhile there was a table next to us that has been there since we had first sat down, having had 3 drinks and finished their food a half hour prior. so i was confused as to why we were being told we couldn't get one more drink while we still had our food in front of us. it just didnt sit well with me. it was my first time there and will give it another chance because the food was so good. hopefully my opinion will be swayed in the future. read more

The host was very rude. We came in with a party of 8 guests at 8am, we were the third party in line and the host said he can only sit 6, it is policy. My mother in law stated that is not what the website says and then the host said it is on our website and instagram that the max group is 6. The website in fact states they accommodate parties of 8 people. He sat 6 at one table and 2 at another and made us feel as we were a burden. The food was excellent and our server was great. We would have loved to be able to sit together as we were celebrating Christmas with family we could not see on the holiday. read more
