The service here was outstanding; very prompt and attentive. However, my filet was overcooked, and my veg were underdone. My daughter's chicken was dry.... Maybe an off night for the chefs? For the price, I wouldn't clamor to return, but I may come back and give it another shot. read more

We went here to celebrate Mother's Day and we were able to get a table quickly. The wait staff was friendly and did a great job taking care of us. For the appetizer, we both enjoyed the Firecracker Shrimp, which came with a rice patty on the bottom. For my entrée, I ordered the Hot Nashville chicken sandwich with a side salad. Both the sandwich and the side salad were good. I really like the Blakes Triple Jam cider- like my adult beverages sweet. Our little one ate the fries and mac n cheese on the kids menu and I thought portion size was pretty good. He also got crayons and paper to write on while we waited for the food. The table has a tablet to swipe your card and tip after the meal. I would definitely recommend the Yard House. Their menu is large and they offer a plethora of drinks. Ordered some Mint Juleps instead and they were tasty Had the massive pretzel on a hook and the tower of onion rings. Those were great! Ordered the BLT and it was not good. Absolutely no dressing. Not a drop of Mayo or anything else. Bacon was barely cooked and the metro was wilted. I had the Blue Cheese/bacon burger and that was really good. Our fries were cold. Like...sitting out for 1/2 hour cold. No we didn't order new ones because then you get your fries when you're done with your sandwich Our waitress was efficient and the service was good, but she didn't seem too happy. Came on a Thursday evening and it was packed with a 25 minute wait. Decided to order takeout instead. I ordered chicken nachos and I communicated that I wanted nachos separated from the other ingredients including sour cream however what I received was everything separated, lol. All ingredients came in its own little container. Although there is nothing wrong about this, it was not the easiest to assemble. What i envisioned was chips in its own container and the rest of the ingredients (excluding the sour cream) in its own container. Took about 20+ minutes to get my order. Taste was ok - it was a lot of food indeed and can easily feed 2+. Usually I take pics but not this time. I got the chicken tenders and tried a bunch of sauces since I didn't know which one I would like, absolutely delicious! Everyone said the food was delicious. Place should be called Salt House not Yard House. 5 of us had lunch there today and no one left satisfied with the experience. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised. Corporate, chain restaurants generally suck and this one is no exception. We ended up here because others in our group suggested it and we weren't in a place to argue about restaurant choice. We started with a Pretzel and the spinach dip as appetizers, those were both pretty good, really the only saving grace for the whole meal. The entrees were horrible, everything was entirely too salty The poke salad was the worst. My wife sent her first one back because it was way too salty. The second one was just as bad. Thankfully the waitress took it off the bill, at least the service was good in that regard. What blew my mind was that she told us that several other diners sent this same dish back today, so the manager finally went back to the kitchen to tell the cooks to tone down the soy in the poke marinade. Where is the quality control? Clearly no one in the kitchen cares about the quality of the food that is put out. My Korean cheesesteak was no good. The steak was either tough or too fatty and the bun to beef ratio was horrid. I had enough leftover bun to make a whole other sandwich . The Nashville chicken sandwich (not pictured) was not at all spicy, sauce came on the side for some reason and was very bland. My daughter ordered the grilled cheese and soup. The sandwich was entirely too salty and the soup tasted like it came from a can. Her boyfriend got a burger which was "just ok", sad considering that any decent restaurant should be able to put out a good burger. All in all, this was a very regrettable experience. I hate paying $100 for a meal that no one enjoyed. Would have been worse had the waitress not taken the poke off the bill. There are so many other places in the area that are so much better. If you're hungry in Troy find one of the many mom and pop Indian or Asian restaurants that are everywhere. If your less adventurous, downtown Royal Oak is just a couple miles down Crooks. Go there, just don't go to Yard (Salt) House. If it weren't for our waitress and the good apps this would have been 1 star. read more

I've gone to YH numerous times and every time the service is very good! We haven't had a bad server. I would recommend going to YH for their happy hour. A majority of their apps are half off and they also have drink specials. They have happy hour weekdays from 3-6 and it's such a good deal! And the food is delicious! My favorites on the happy hour menu are the poke nachos, calamari and the sliders! They actually serve the full size portions for their apps for happy hour too. The atmosphere is very clean and open. And the longest I've waited to sit without reservation was about 20 minutes. But it would go by fast. I would recommend this place! read more

I went here with my son on Black Friday after a busy day of shopping at Somerset Mall which is right down the street from this restaurant. When we walked in, they said the wait would be 25 to 35 minutes and we said OK and they took our phone number so that we could go sit or actually we went to sit at the bar to get a drink while we were waiting. Since we were talking and enjoying ourselves, I don't know how long of a wait we actually had. It didn't seem like a full 25 to 35 minutes but they were very busy and I'm sure it was because it was black Friday. Once we got the message that our table was ready, it took quite a while to get the bartender over to pay our bills so that we could go sit at the table and eat. My son ended up ordering two appetizers for his meal. The first thing he ordered was the pokey nachos and we got that right away because we ordered it as an appetizer. The taste was amazing and it include jalapeños and some sauces that were drizzled on it, and some Ahi tuna. It was absolutely delicious. Even the chips were amazing. For my son's entrée, he got the chicken lettuce wrap, and he said it's one of his favorites It actually is listed under the appetizers but since we had the other appetizer, he didn't want to over eat. The lettuce wrap came with two types of sauces. One he said, tasted like a peanut type of sauce, and the other was like a chili type of sauce. He ate everything on his plate, and when he got done, he said, I can't believe I just ate everything!! I ordered the blackened shrimp tacos and they come with two tacos and you can add a side of rice and beans or even upgrade to three tacos. Since we also had an appetizer, I just kept it to the two tacos, and it was the perfect amount of food for me and they were very delicious tacos. My son got a drink. I got a club soda and it was a little on the pricey side, but I would definitely eat here again the food was well worth it. Although it's a chain restaurant I do like the tons of draft beer options and also the big menu with some American and some Asian style dishes. Unfortunately they were out of the Red Ale I ordered but that happens, luckily I enjoyed the dunkel as a backup. We ordered the cheese curds and pretzel to start and the curds were very good and had two sauces. The pretzel was ok but the cheese sauce was not very good and looked old. Our service could have been better, she was attentive in the beginning but once we received our food we couldn't get drink refills and it took a very long time to ask for boxes. was a great place to enjoy the sunshine, they have lots of windows. Party of 5 on a Saturday evening. Told there was a wait but we ended up sitting at a high top when asked if that was okay. Waiter was friendly enough but he never asked if we wanted refills or another drink. We ordered a burger, a steak bowl, a chicken bowl and 2 orders of the fish and chips. Yard house is always a good time! Dark, decent music and bathrooms are fairly clean. I love they have Gardien options in multiple dishes. On the weekend you're gonna want to join the waitlist but the last few times I went getting a seat was a breeze. Went on a weekday for dinner and was very surprise on how busy it was. Excited to try it out as I see it all the time driving on Big Beaver. It's a large restaurant with a good amount of tables available. I was able to sit outside on their patio and it was very nice, I would recommend on a nice day. This place is just like any other yard house in the nation, however the food quality at this Troy location was horrible. Bavarian pretzel came out hard and burnt and the pretzel cheese had hairs in it. The spicy steak garlic noodle I received was so small and all the steak bites were completely fatty (not an exaggeration). The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was all breading and the side of fries had no seasoning and were bland and crunchy. A non-edible meal and 2 drinks for $80 read more

Came with Mexican rice and refried beans. 10/10 taco flavor and meat quantity. Service was good until my friends and I's plates were taken away when I was in the middle of my last taco and had it in my hand over the plate. Frequent flyers here. LOL Even when busy the staff at the door is welcoming and efficient. Staff is always dressed appropriately, professional and on top of everything. Very nice food selection on the menu. So many different types of appetizers that can double as a meal. The Queso is delish. Burgers, great Salads, Sandwiches, Pasta, the Jambalaya is consistently good. The Ribeye with the Korean Barbecue is amazing. You have to try the "grown-up" grilled cheese with tomato basil soup. They do a great job in preparing their shrimp. It still has its texture and amazing flavor. I can say that even though they are not advertised as being a specialty Seafood/Steak House that they have done both well. There is a variety of well placed items in the menu to please multiple pallets. The property does offer free parking. The dining areas are well maintained and clean. I just so enjoy the ambiance of the decor. It is casual modern with a few TVs to watch sports, however, the lighting can give you the feeling of a higher end dining experience. If you sit in a nice corner booth you could even say romantic. I do enjoy a no rush comfortably lit dining area at night and afternoon. The bar area is large and does draw a nice crowd. I have to say with as many times as we have dined here staff and food has been spot on. read more

Yard House after Somerset mall was a hit! On a busy Friday night, I highly recommend joining the online waitlist before you arrive to lessen your wait time once there. The Pina Spritz was a non-alcoholic mocktail with pineapple, lime, passion fruit, and soda water and was delicious. I also recommend the Mac and cheese! Came here because my wife had signed up for the birthday coupons. We were seated right away, ambiance is nice, music and overall atmosphere was pleasant. I had the 8oz filet and the house sauce is really tangy and delicious! The waitress was excellent and when she brought out my wife's birthday deserts, she also brought me a different desert that was the other option my wife could have chosen. I ordered the Cobb salad with everything. It wasn't bad. Since I had a long drive ahead of me, I stuck with a strawberry lemonade (or raspberry idk). It was pretty good. While the service was great even with a large group and the food was good, I had to take a star off for not requiring masks for their employees and customers when not at the table. It is not 2019 anymore. Since pizza was half price for happy hour, I got the cheese pizza with extra sauce. It was thin crust but held up well with the extra sauce. Very good for a place that serve all types of food. I love the fact they had a small dessert with lower calories, creme brulee cheesecake. I ate half there and it was just as good the next day. I have been to Yard House several times since it opened in Troy, almost always for a sporting event of some sort as it's primary attraction for me is vast array of televisions that dot its interior. The second best feature is their wide choices of beers. Along with the classics, they have a great selection of craft beers for the beer snobs amongst us. An actually great feature is that they have teamed up with some great breweries around the country to make their own Yard House brand of beer. and of the ones I've tried, they have all been solid selections. And if you get here during happy hour, even better deal. There are two places I reduce stars for them. While the service when you get it has always been good, the wait times when their are dozens of empty tables and booths is a bit ridiculous. While I understand the industry is suffering a shortage of people, this has happening at this restaurant from the very beginning which makes me think it's a planned labor cost control. This would be ok if the food was anything special, but it really isn't and that's the second reason i knock down their score a little bit. Most recently I had the Nashville Hot chicken, the Korean BBQ Sandwich and a mushroom and pepperoni pizza and while none of it was bad, none of it was anything worth a 45-60 minute wait. The chicken sandwich was not very spicy, as you can see in the pic the Korean BBQ sandwich was not even filled end to end. The pizza was fine, but we live in a town that is known for pizza and we can get top notch pie all over the place. So while it's nothing is bad here, I couldn't really be able to tell you something that made me go wow. But I will come back for the sporting experience sitting at the bar. Ended up here today kind of randomly, for happy hour - we wanted to go to La Saj, down the street, but it turns out they close at 4pm on Mondays now. I've been to two different Yard House locations before, in LA in 2016 and Indy in 2018, and they usually do a good happy hour. The host and hostesses were very friendly - I asked for a booth and they found one for me, and later the host walked me over to the bathroom too when I asked where it was. The HH menu includes half-off select appetizers and pizza, as well as $2 off most alcoholic drinks. My boyfriend had an IPA and I had an ACE pineapple cider, which was delicious; I haven't had it in a while. For our apps/pizza, we ordered the chicken lettuce wraps, onion rings tower, and margherita pizza. The onion rings were indeed a TOWER (see my pic) and a lot of food - plus, a steal, at only $4.90 during HH. The chicken lettuce wraps were tastier than I remembered them being in Indy. I thought the pizza was just okay, although the fresh mozzarella was tasty. Waitservice was prompt, too, and you are able to pay at a touchscreen on your table if you're using a credit or debit card. It even will print a receipt for you, which was pretty cool. Just as a heads up, it was like 99% maskless - I wore a mask to my table and I saw one waitress wearing one, and that was about it. Other than that, no complaints about Yard House and I'll probably be back again for HH another day - I believe it's M-Fri, either 3-6pm or 4-6pm, and they also do a late-night happy hour from like 10pm till close. read more
