    Deep-Fried Cauliflower

Delicious vegan quick food with the nicest staff and delicious food. My friend and I split the cauliflower with buffalo sauce and the 2 slider meal with curly fries. The cauliflower was fried perfectly but didn't feel heavy. They make their meatless patties in-house and they were AMAZING. The curly fries were seasoned so well and were so crispy. We also tried their trap sauce (reminded us of thousand island dressing) their spicy ranch (very good!). Their drinks are homemade teas and very refreshing. I hope to be back soon to try more goodies!

It would be 5 stars but there are few things that bothered me enough to remove one star. First, there are no prices on the menu so I was a little shocked how much I had to pay for 2 burgers and two sides of fries. Even after we said it's a dine in, they packaged everything in the containers so it's was a little hard to eat. There is no such a thing of tap water. I assume majority of people do takeout so they ate not really prepared for a dine in experience. The prices are definetly on a high side. The wait was pretty long but when we finally got our sandwiches I have to say, these were probably the best vegan burgers we had so far in restaurants. I had the bbq Jackfruit sandwich with sweet potato fries with added cinnamon sugar. My husband got the What's Beef with curly fries. I love that there is vegan place like this with such amazing burgers I belive many people that eat there are not even vegan! We need to show more people that vegan food is delicious! I don't think I'll be back often as the prices are too high.

    Super nice spot

It was fine. But that's it. No real "service" it's a kiosk and they hand you your food and it says no refills anywhere so. Not great on the ambiance either but I came twice and it filled its purpose ! Basic vegan foods !

10/10 for a vegan burger. Honestly can not tell that it's vegan. Great flavor and pairs well with the toppings. ~$15 for the burger, kinda pricey but well worth it for the taste! Also got the truffle fries. You can tell it's freshly fried but didn't taste special to me. Would probably try their sweet potato fries next time. Overall, a great place, would return.

Are the plant based patty the impossible burger? Or is it homemade?

When I was at the restaurant there were advertisements on the table for impossible burger, so I'm pretty sure that's what it was. The patty I had definitely was not homemade.

Sometimes the service can be slow. But I have always found the staff to be very kind and courteous. So, if you're in the mindset of having a relaxed dinner experience, then you'll have a great time! The vibes are calm and there's usually relaxing music playing. Side note: they have gift certificates as well!

It's little changes like that that elevate the dish beyond other regular sushi offerings. It was so appreciated! We ordered the spicy tuna roll. It had the excellent tuna and then they put yum sauce on it. That was odd because it masked the beautiful taste of the bluefin tuna, and that made it a miss for me. If you order, do yourself a favor and tell them no sauce. The dragon roll had real snow crab inside and eel and avocado on top. This also had a crunchy topping that I would tell them to hold if I did it again. It didn't really add anything to the dish and it obscurred the taste of the tender eel a bit. Not until I broke open a piece to isolate the snow crab could I truly appreciate the delicate flavor. It got a little lost inside the vibrant roll. The red dragon roll was well balanced and exactly what I was expecting. The bluefin tuna could easily shine on top of this roll. And it did. It was rich and succulent. The tigerlilly roll was lovely and topped with salmon and roe. It says on the menu it was torched. Ours was not. It was perfect the way we got it though, so I wouldn't change anything. I also ordered eel sashimi and the avocado, asparagus and cucumber roll for something refreshing. We all shared the rolls as we had drinks at the bar. Our bartender was attentive, friendly, and brought the sushi along with serving us our drinks. The lychee martini was a hit. What an interesting and slightly tart flavor! It was a light-hearted and fun time and I would go back in a heartbeat .

Classic rolls…read morewere also solid, but given the limited number of classic rolls, would probably not return for sushi alone. Service (4.75/5): Our main server was very friendly and gave us a good overview of the menu as it was our first time. They were great and attentive. We were also served by a second server who dropped off our food and disappeared so quickly that we waited a while before they walked by again. When we finally got the chance to ask for soy sauce and sauce dishes, they grabbed the soy sauce from a nearby table and left before we could even get to asking for the sauce dishes. Nothing terrible, but we did feel a little awkward. Food (4/5): Sushi was both good and not good. Of the 3 rolls we ordered, the salmon avocado and tuna avocado were solid; the proportion of fish to rice was great and the fish quality was above average from your typical sushi restaurant. However, the Tigerlily was quite disappointing, especially at $22 for the roll. The roll was torched a bit too long, cooking the salmon almost all the way, but my main gripe was a mysterious creamy sauce that was drizzled on top. The roll ended up being way too heavy and the sauce overpowered the salmon and the little bit of ikura that was sprinkled on top. On the other hand, the chicken katsu sando was really excellent. Chicken was juicy, breading was light and crispy, and the fries were well-seasoned. My only suggestion for the kitchen is to slice the sandwich vertically instead of horizontally; you can see that the bread on half of the sandwich was mostly crust/air instead of the actual bread part. Ambiance (4/5): It's got an upscale, modern feel to it that would probably make a nice environment for a date night or catching up with friends over happy hour. I was there on a Tuesday evening, so it wasn't crowded. There was music playing but it wasn't too loud, so it was easy to have a conversation.

Once at their pop-up in Cork Town (highly recommend following their IG for info!), once at a food policy conference which they catered, and recently i was able to get out to their brick and mortar on Woodard. All three occasions did not disappoint! the complexity of flavor, the locally sourced ingredients, and the joyous staff make Pink Flamingo a true gastronomy. i will spend a little time talking about the two events in the past. Other than the fact that i literally ate 6 chicken salad sandwiches and took one to go at the conference (nuff said). However, in my most recent experience i was driving up Woodward and decided to pop in and see what was on the menu this week. The Quesadilla dinner caught my eye. Three quesadillas, filled with a protein of your choice, come with two sides. For protein, i went with the blackened white fish, and for sides, i chose beans and fried plantains. Rich and piquant flavor on the fish, met by a crispy cheezy quesadilla, all together it was savory and scrumptious. Plus, the sides were perfect additions, the plantains offering a sweet and salty bite and the beans cooked perfectly. Loved every bite and can't wait to make Pink Flamingo a regular lunch spot! Also great storefront, they sell locally made products so it's great to see those dollars stay in the community and the collaborative promotion of other businesses! And the staff were super friendly coming from around the counter to talk with us. Also, for a Friday at 3, the place was not too busy at all. Quiet, easy in and out. If you are having an event, have them cater. If it's Thursday in the summer and you're looking to kick back around a fire and fill your face with nutritious, delicious, and creative food, go to the Cork Town spot (weather permitting).
