Pretty good impossible burger at MIster Dips. The sprouts were a unique twist. Fast service and the cashier was so nice! I will definitely stop in again if I need a quick meal!

I've eaten at Mister Dips twice, and despite inflation raising prices, I think the price hike here was still too steep. The Single Dip burger was $6.89 in November 2021, the first time I ate here, and now it costs $9.49, and you just know that these prices are never going back down again. I stopped by for the second time in December 2022 only to try the Black Truffle Dip for $11.99 because I love anything with truffle flavor. This is a limited-time burger available until January 1. I like that there are permanent benches outside of the restaurant. It isn't easy to find outdoor seating in the winter. Some may find it absurd to eat outdoors in December, but I'd rather be a bit cold than catch Covid. The food presentation is nice here and goes with the vibe of the restaurant's interior. Very chic and modern with a bit of retro diner. However, the portion is small for what you pay, and the taste is on the plain side. I didn't taste a lot of truffle flavor in my truffle burger. Under all the arugula, the beef patty is small. Same with the fries. The Dirty Dipped Waffles is Instagram-worthy but not worth $6.99. Under the queso, there are not many fries. For less, you can get a better burger and fries at Checkers and Rally's.

The food was great and very filling. The chicken tenders were like a dry rub/ honey sauce and the dirty dip waffles were amazing. The sauce doesn't taste like ranch, it seems like something different but it was tasty. The service was very fast and my food was still hot and fresh. It was located an alley with other restaurants, the aesthetic was nice, if you ever been to "The Belt" downtown it's like a miniature version of that. The chef even let me try some of his "secret sauce" 10/10 highly recommend.

The ambience of the place is fun and nicely decorated. The staff are willing to answer the questions I had and my food was prepared fairly quickly. You order and pickup from the counter. The dirty dipped waffle fries however were a complete miss. The cheese was bland and the waffle fries were really soggy. I ended up tossing the entire thing unfortunately

First time trying this place and I surprisingly liked their burger a lot. I actually liked everything we got. The loaded fries though, it's only on the top of the fries so when you dig deeper, there is no toppings but I just dipped it in the hot honey that the tenders were drenched in. Some it may be too much if you get the honey chicken sticks. Overall not bad of a place and has a cool vibe!

Cute place with great choices for ice cream and food. Best ice cream is always the berry option. French fries are delicious! Service is good though sometimes slow food no reason (staff on their cell phones) but usually friendly.

This restaurant is located downtown so parking may be hard depending on the time of day. We had to pay for parking in a lot that was near the restaurant. The restaurant is nicely decorated with fun decor. When you walk in you place your order at the register and then your name is called when your order is ready. It did not take long for my food to be ready. I ordered a single burger with waffle fries. All of the items are sold separately. The food was good but definitely overpriced for what you get. The burger comes with their specialty sauce, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles and wasn't that big. After my meal I tried one of the dipped ice cream cones. When I placed my order the cashier remembered my name. I ordered the PBD cone with a peanut butter coating and a Reese's cup on the side but I got vanilla ice cream instead of chocolate. The ice cream was good but very messy. The business provides a cone holder to assist with the messiness but it still leaked.

Finally!!! I have been wanting to come here since it opened back in July, excited that I no longer had to be in New York to try it. The simplicity of its menu didn't seem to excite other friends who I was hoping would come with me, but I figured I'm starting a new job and today is a good day to celebrate that with a burger and an ice cream cone Located in Parker's Alley in the Shinola complex, it's a fun walking spot to come to if you're already in the area. This is definitely not a place you want to drive down to for its own. This is not a knock against them per se, but for the time and energy it takes to get to the city, find parking and walk over, not sure this was worth the effort. First and foremost the workers were fantastic. They were nice, quick to greet and had no problem making my ice cream after I ate my lunch. Now I don't know how much of my excitement was based on nostalgia of roaming around (no sleep til) Brooklyn, but I have to say this was not up to my expectations. I ordered the single Dip and this month's ice cream special, the lickety split. First the sandwich. This is a single, flat grilled patty with melted cheese, lettuce, pickle, mustard, ketchup and a special sauce. I'm not 100% sure that they put the sauce on the burger, but my bigger issue is for $9 this is a very small burger. The bun is large but the meat is meager. It should be half the price, if not more. But ok, at least the cone might make up for it. Well first let's just say my fat body really doesn't need a big ol ice cream cone, but if I'm paying for $6 for a cone it best be a big ol' cone. The Lickety Split is this month's special, banana-strawberry twist ice cream, dipped in chocolate, drizzled with caramel, sprinkled with nuts and topped with a cherry. It was absolutely delicious. But as with the sandwich, it left me wanting more. We are blessed to have some spectacular ice cream joints (Wally's, Erma's, Leason's, etc) that give you much better bang for the buck. While I would absolutely come here again, I would not do what I did today and go out of my way to do so. It's a fun spot to stop in if you're already in the area.

I can only speak for the soft serve, but it was awesome. Considering they only have 3 locations with the other two NY, this place is pretty cool, almost too cool for Michigan. I had the Chocolate PB Dip, the dip was so good, I wish I could buy it. The location is awesome in the alley.

Haven't tried my food yet. But the young woman taking my order was delightful. Two cooks working and I've been waiting for about 10'minutes. Place is empty, they just got a rush. I ordered a single classic and county classic. I'm excited to try both. The place hasn't been picked up so there's trash on the tables. The staff is having fun but I'm hungry. The inside is pretty futuristic lots of neon and metal. Idk if I would have a date here. More so like take it to go or with some friends. For both of my items is was almost 25 dollars. So I hope the food is good. You can get beer here. Bells, miller, and IPA and something else. Maybe a wine? Also a boozy slushy. They offer ice cream too. The menus looks to be a step up from fast food. Got home everything was gone under 20 minutes. Vegetables were very fresh, bun was a wee bit soggy other than that a good burger! The chicken was yummy. I recommend. Overall 4.1 too pricy for what it was but the food was good. But this was nothing more than 18 dollars not 25.

Some friends and I were going to a show at the Fox tonight and wanted to do either Penny Red's or Mister Dips for dinner. We didn't know that Penny Red's is takeout-only, so Mister Dips it was ... I had been seeing it all over Instagram and had been wanting to try it. Overall, where Mister Dips excels is its ice cream, though I suppose that shouldn't surprise me, given its name! I ordered a regular burger, no lettuce, and regular waffle fries. The burger was fine, maybe 3/5 from me, and the waffle fries were tasty, maybe 4/5. My friends ordered the sweet & spicy chicken tenders - I tried one and it was pretty good, so I'd maybe try that next time - burgers, waffle fries, and onion rings. The onion rings were also good. 3 of the 4 of us got ice cream after - one friend and I got the chocolate + PB cone, and another got the raspberry milkshake. They actually give you like a "cone guard" for the cones, which I had never seen before, and you will shortly see why ... they drip very fast, haha! Their dipped cones are similar to the ones at Dairy Queen, but definitely more high-end ... the chocolate + PB one had an entire Reese's piece stuffed into the side. I definitely got my cone ALL over the table, but it was delicious. I would definitely stop by here again for a cone or a milkshake - they also have boozy milkshakes! - but I might go somewhere else for dinner first. Overall it's still a 4 out of 5 in my book, though.

The cheese was melted well and it was seasoned pretty good also. Blt - this was a good BLT and it was very stacked. I'm not sure if you can make it out from the picture but it had plenty of everything on here. The bacon tasted great. Wow... what a BEAUTIFUL restaurant. At first glance, as I…read morearrived at valet, I was genuinely proud to see this Black-owned brick-and-mortar in person for the first time. Unfortunately, I did not anticipate that it would also be the last. The valet attendant was attentive and professional, and the host staff greeted me as I walked in. So far, so good! The bar wasn't busy, but I figured it was still kind of early and things could liven up. I was meeting friends for a birthday toast, and they were already seated at the bar. When I approached, we were very excited to see one another, so naturally, we took a moment to catch up. I noticed there was one bartender in the service well who was busy making drinks and therefore understandably unable to greet me. There was another bartender conversing with patrons standing next to my barstool and another bartender on the far end. Now, as someone with a background in food & beverage, I naturally exercise patience in casual dining atmospheres because service can be a little laxed--which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I'm not expecting the bartender to teleport across the room because I walked in. However, in this case, after greeting my friends, we wanted to do a round of shots in honor of the birthday girl. After several minutes, we still had not been approached by a bartender. Not to mention, the bartender conversing just to my right was STILL carrying on with the same gentlemen patrons. After a continued wait, the birthday girl decided to flag down the bartender, who acknowledged us with eye contact... ...and then continued her conversation. Ma'am. That was very unprofessional, but we were in such great spirits that we decided to overlook it and try to get the attention of a different bartender. Now, hindsight being 20/20, we should've left right then. This same bartender, standing not even 3 feet away from us, eventually finished her conversation and walked away. She actually ended up standing at the service well in plain sight of us, where she then pulled out her cellphone to devote some obviously much-needed quality screen time. We were in utter shock. Within a few moments, the bartender originally on the far end of the bar had made her way to our side to take a new set of patrons' order who had just appeared to my right. Once again, the birthday girl calls out and asks if it would be possible for her to assist us when she was done. To our dismay, the lady looks at us with absolutely ZERO emotion and simply states, "Yea." Not exactly the response we expected, but hey... it's Detroit. We are natives, although I no longer live locally, so we know customer service isn't necessarily the city's strongest suit. ‍ After Ms. Dead Emotions prepared drinks for the new set of patrons, she followed suit with the previous bartender and walked over to the service well for some R&R with Screen Time Girl. And THAT was the moment we realized these bartenders did not come to work... They came to clock in. At this point, I decided to ask for a manager. The nice woman I approached asked me what it was regarding, and I explained what we had experienced and told her it was disappointing, to say the least. She seemed rational and understanding and offered to send a waitress to the bar to serve us. I thanked her and went back to my seat. It was obvious that the bartenders had been made aware of my grievances because their demeanors and facial expressions suddenly had a LOT to say. At that point, we realized training, support, and customer service may be an unrecognized area of opportunity by upper management. The server was busy with tables but eventually made her way over. She seemed very nice. However, by that point, we had decided we would leave. As we sat there conversing about this unbelievable experience and discussing other bars we could go to instead, a few patrons walked up to our side of the bar to introduce themselves and ask about our plans and whether we would stick around to have a drink with them. When we informed them we were leaving, they asked why. We gave them the short version as we prepared to leave. Sadly, they weren't surprised--but they offered AGAIN to make it right. Imagine customers offering to make it right. ‍ Just before leaving, one of our group stepped away to the restroom. At that point, Screen Time finally walked up and, exasperatedly, asked if we wanted anything. IKYFL. The birthday girl, who is sweet-natured, was understandably disappointed, so I decided, you know what? We'll take a shot for the road. A simple Don Julio Repo shot took longer than it should have... ...but the bill came IMMEDIATELY. And, of course, an automatic 20% gratuity was the cherry on top. At this point, all I could do was laugh. Beautiful restaurant. Great first impression. Unfortunately, the actual experience was a completely different story. WE WILL NOT BE BACK.
