We had the best brunch at Street Beet. We got there when they opened on a Sunday and grabbed some nearby street parking. The service was friendly and helpful. The ambiance was casual but welcoming. They had a massive brunch menu that was executed very well - we tried a lot of stuff and it was all delicious. We highly recommend Street Beet. Hey, play some arcade games while you're there! Have a cocktail or cocktail. You don't need to be vegan, you'll love what they're serving. I finally made it to Street Beet today after hearing about it for months. It definitely lived up to its amazing reputation. I ordered takeout - shrimp and grits and tuna sandwich. Both were delicious and I will definitely be back to try more items.

First time popping into the permanent location and it was soooooo nice! We loved the decor a lot! It was my husband, myself, and our toddler in and we were stoked to have some specials they had. We got the queso burger, the infamous bowl, side of fries, and buttered noodles (of course we got a shake to go too!) The food was outrageous and I could literally eat the queso off a dang shoe! Our server was so amazing. We will absolutely be making the drive to come eat again soon. I only wish I had enough room in my stomach to try more items!

The new place is so cute! So spacious and cute inside and they even have a little coffee bar. I went to brunch with my friend who is vegan and gluten free so this is the perfect restaurant for them because they have so so many options. I got the breakfast wrap and added avocado and they got the shrimp and grits both very good and filling since I was starving. Overall good time

This place is vegan heaven I truly haven't stopped popping up since the grand opening . The appetizers are so delicious and the entrees and super filling. The staff is remarkable and knowledgeable and super well versed in recommending the best options . My favorite vegan cuisine for sure

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time and finally I had some time and I was in the area so I figured I'd step in. So here's the thing you see Street Beet on the outside and you assume that the door below the sign is where you enter no no no no my friend that is not the entrance. Let me help you out. You have two options you can enter through third Street bar and it's literally in the back where you're like. Am I supposed to be back there yep, you are because that's where street beet is. Or you can go through the alley. Enter through the back where there's outdoor seating and then street beat is right there. You'll thank me later because I was pulling on doors. I definitely shouldn't have been pulling on. Now let's get to the food part. You're here for the food. The place is entirely vegan, which was wonderful. I love a good vegan spot in Detroit. Now the pita wrap that I received was not the best. Don't get me wrong. I love the cheese. I love the pita that they used and I love the sauce however the tofu Batter that they used was a little bit too salty for me. Now the Patty melt was absolutely amazing. In fact, so delicious that I questioned if it was vegan or not. Overall, the staff was friendly. They had pastries they had drinks. The food was absolutely divine! Parking......We won't even go there. I circled the block like I was at a concert. Overall, I have to say the food was good. I recommend the patty melt. They are moving soon to a new location so maybe the whole entrance thing can be resolved. Overall, I have to say 4 out of 5 delicious. You know what I almost forgot something so when I arrive, they gave me a mega mechanism that was used to say when your order was ready I asked how far around the vicinity could be mechanism be she said around the building I got in my car parked in front of the establishment because I had figured out the whole parking thing and I waited. I noticed time had passed over 20 minutes and the thing had not buzzed. The next thing I know I go in I sit for another 10 minutes and I noticed that patrons who were there after me got their food. I looked at the order on the counter, and I correlated it with the number on the mechanism and handed her the mechanism that still had not buzzed by the way and got my food 30 minutes probably after it had been made. That's something they'll definitely have to fix prior to this move.

I've been a fan of Street Beet since the first pop-up I went to in 2019 and I'm so happy they're back full time. The menu has just gotten better and better over the years. This time I ordered the tenders, regular fires, salted caramel milkshake and a cookie from Cookies by MK. Everything was incredible. They're also really good about nut and gf allergy warnings which I've always appreciated. The space inside third street bar is great, with plenty of seating and the staff are really nice. I can't recommend enough, even if you're not vegan.

Litty fries! A current speciality fry that is spicy and guaranteed to light your mouth on fire in the best way. They were indeed lit.

My coworkers and I were enjoying patio drinks at 3rd Street and everyone on the patio was eating from Street Beet so likewise we ordered a bunch of food! This table was full of non-vegan diets and the overall feedback was that everything was delicious and you would be pleasantly surprised to even know the food is vegan. We had a whole mukbang happening at our table. We had crunchwraps, chicken nuggets, a sampling of different fries ranging from regular to litty fries. Everything here was great and the staff was very friendly and offered lots of great recommendations as well. Eating a crunch wrap here felt a lot more guilt-free than Taco Bell :)

Today is Street Beet's final day open and I am feeling very emotional about it. I'm very happy for those running Street Beet as they are off to pursue new ventures and I truly cannot wait to see what they are and will be sure to support anything they do going forward, but I can't lie...I am BEYOND sad to see Street Beet go. They have mastered vegan fast food. It's as simple as that. I've been going to them since their pop up days with Kentucky Fake Chicken and McDaddy's and so many more. Everything I've ever ordered here has been DELICIOUS and definitely better than the actual fast food establishments. But also, to be fair, I've never eaten at Taco Bell before, so most times when I come here, I will order their Taco Bell-inspired menu items, and I just always love them. I definitely can't compare to the originals in this case, but I think even people who have eaten the equivalents at Taco Bell would say that Street Beet is far SUPERIOR! I will miss them so much. Literally everything on the menu will be missed. My last time eating here I got the Supreme Crunchywrap and Litty Fries and let me tell you...what an absolute PERFECT final meal here. Litty Fries for LIFE. I will miss you so so much Street Beet. You guys have given me so many core food memories and there will be a beet-sized hole in my heart FOREVER! Best of luck on your new ventures!!!!!!!!!!!!

So sad they are closing but so happy I was able to try them out. I tried basically one of everything and I'm so glad I did! It was delicious vegan food and done well and kept well in the car for my ride home. Detroit will be sad to see them go!

About 4ish table spoons of gravy for the fries. Way too salty

I happened to go on a day they were testing a new vegan pizza they are adding to the menu and I just wish I took a picture before I ate it lol so good y'all like their vegan cheese is undefeated and all the food was so flavorful. My boyfriend and I tried the pizza(wasn't on the menu yet so I'm not sure what it was called I just know it was super cheesy had pepperoni and jalapeños which complimented the flavor soo nicely and we aren't even pizza fans like that especially not with jalapeños but I would definitely get it again), the all American deluxe burger and waffle fries(I loved how it wasn't a dry burger like it was real juicy and the fries were A1), and the Gordita crunch tacos(tasted like I got them from an authentic Mexican food truck like F**k a Taco Bell fr). With the five star service they give I don't even mind the prices at all, like I would tip that much anyways because they deserve every penny they receive fr! And still tipped lmao. We pulled up to order but you have to pay online for card and they weren't accepting cash so we just ordered from the car with our phones from their website which was cool because it was cold outside lol. Fast service and I wish I would've caught the guys name working he was such a sweetheart! I love people who love their jobs and show it.

Lauren took great care of us and encouraged us to order whatever we were craving. Dangerous advice, but we happily accepted . Warning - the ratings are real. They're not a mistake. We started with our usual cocktail, the Instant Karma (5/5). It is the perfect balance of citrus and salt with a light cucumber note. Clean, refreshing, and it pairs well with everything. The roasted sweet potato (6/5) is one of the best vegetable dishes in the city. The caramelized exterior gives way to a soft interior, and the crispy quinoa adds a subtle light crunch that plays against the creamy texture. The salsa macha brings a smoky, nutty depth without the heat, and the crema ties it all together. I had to physically stop myself from scraping the plate (actually they had to take it away ). The tagliatelle (5/5) with beef bolognese and parmesan was flawless. The pasta has that ideal handmade chew, and the bolognese is rich without being heavy. The parmesan blends perfectly into the sauce and stands out in every bite. The potato pierogi (10/5) were the star of the night. Soft potato-filled pillows with horseradish crema, apple, and crispy shallot pieces create this perfect sweet, tangy, creamy, and crunchy bite. Each forkful felt intentional and balanced. I felt guilty, because in my head, I didn't want to share with my wife, but I did anyways . The cruelty of having to split an odd number of pierogis...well played...we should have just ordered another one. We also ordered the smoked potatoes and the pan roasted half chicken with sauce au poivre (always 5/5 for both) The smoked potatoes, with raclette, and crème fraîche, are always a must. These winter variation was just as good! The chicken remains one of the most consistently well-executed mains in the city. I have tried recreating it at home with the cold pan method and it never comes close. Every time we dine here, it feels like four or five different dinner experiences in one evening. Selden Standard continues to set the bar for us in Detroit. We love the staff, the food, and the memories tied to this place. Cheers to many more amazing years to come!

My husband surprised me with a birthday dinner here, and I'm glad that we got to experience it. We arrived in advance of our reservation and grabbed a seat at the bar. The bartender brought us a glass of wine while we waited. It took about a half hour, but we were shown to our table for the night and promptly greeted by our server. All of the food looked amazing, both on the menu and with what people were ordering at other tables. We chose a variety of dishes - cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, squid ink orecchiette, octopus, mushrooms, and scallops. I would recommend all of them, but the standouts for me were the Brussels sprouts and the scallops. Flavors were unique and textures were especially on point with those dishes. Service was good, but we both felt like it was slow. There was a slight glitch in the beginning of the night where the host stand didn't mark that we had checked in when we actually had, which probably contributed to the half hour wait at the bar. Aside from those points, it was an impeccable night!

I have been trying Mexican restaurants all over the U.S. and no where compares to vecino and to think I found my favorite in Detroit amazes me. It truly is worth every penny. For what to order: All their appetizers are great. We usually switch it up and are satisfied with each one that we've ordered. The Totopos with salsa are a must and their guac is great as well. For mains- the asada del día is our go to. It is always cooked to perfection and comes with fresh tortillas. And it is hard for me to come by a tortilla in the U.S. that I enjoy. But here, they are excellent. They import their corn from Mexico and you can tell. This is served with bone marrow and some garlic onion spread that goes great on the taco. For dessert- their tres leches is amazing. The coconut cream pairs so well with the cake. I could eat like 10 of them. As if it's not obvious at this point vecino is my favorite restaurant in Detroit and one of my tops in the world. I felt a little out of place being here given just how trendy and super party-like atmosphere it all was haha! And in the months since I've come here, it remains a super popular spot to go to if you're looking for that extremely lively atmosphere! None of this takes away from the quality of their delicious food! We had incredible dishes and they clearly take a lot of pride in sourcing intentionally all their ingredients for their food, and the waitstaff did their best to intro us to everything, despite how overstimulatingly loud the environment was, so I only came away from each presentation with about half the information they wanted to convey. But all in all, the food was good across the board, and we tried a ton of different dishes. There weren't any that were overwhelming showstoppers that made me want to come back here again and again to try the rest of the menu though, so I left Vecino knowing that I wasn't going to return anytime soon. It's definitely for a specific mindset and type of celebratory occasion, which is often not the one I'm in when I'm going out to eat with friends.

The pizzas were cut, luckily, in 6 - super hot and the cheese pulls were so satisfying.
