The murder mystery experience was so interactive and so much fun! If I'm honest I'd pay just for the murder mystery but the food options weren't great in flavor. The appetizer (bacon wrapped dates) only came with two small ones, and the fig app was even smaller they looked the size of peanut size m&m's. The main dishes were also not great, the skewers were lacking in flavor and the polenta had a weird texture. The tri tip just came out without any ask to cooking temp and was overcooked (well done). The dessert was probably the best tasting of the meal and it was nothing to write home about. Overall I would go out for the murder mystery but maybe hold out for a better menu.

I've passed by Blue Martini many of times. It always seems to be the most hype spot on High Street, a nice entertainment district in Desert Ridge. I finally took the plunge and checked it out on a Thursday night around 9:30 p.m. Parking is easy (and free) on the street, in the surface lots, or the garage on High Street. Ambiance (3.5/5): Blue Martini is definitely a bit bougie and caters to that audience. There's a nice outdoor patio which is where we sat since the weather was beautiful. There's a bar outside and waiter service. I briefly looked inside and there's a bar inside too, lounge sitting, and a dance floor. Blue Martini often has live music or a DJ. Definitely a spot where you can break it down on the dance floor. There's bottle service too if that's your thing. Service (2/5): Talk about slow service! It took our waitress longer than it should have for us to greet us. After placing an order for drinks, we received them promptly. After that we didn't see her again for quite a while. I wanted to order a second cocktail and she was nowhere to be found. Eventually she came around and I placed my order. I decided to close out right then and there knowing that it would take a long time to track her down to close out if I didn't do it right then and there. They also charge two fees amounting to 5%. Not sure what that's all about. Food (N/A): While they do have food, I just had drinks since I was there pretty late. I view Blue Martini as more of a drinks spot, but I can't comment on the food. They have a daily happy hour with discounts on select food items. Drinks (3.5/5): If the name isn't a dead giveaway, Blue Martini specializes in martinis. Beyond martinis, they have a large cocktail list. Plus everything else you'd find with a full bar. The drinks are a bit pricey (it is a see and be seen type of spot after all and you're likely to see old geezers pulling up in Lambos and Ferraris), but I liked the selection. I started off with the Blue Martini, their namesake. It's served with a blue glow stick. From there, I had the strawberry basil martini. Both were pretty good. Not speakeasy quality cocktails but better than your average bar for sure. While Blue Martini isn't really my scene, I can have a good time anywhere. If you're looking to turn up and dance, it's a good spot for that. And it's also elite for people watching.

It's such a unique way to eat an oyster. They jazz it up with a specific flavor. For example: I always order the Rosé, Dumpling, and Marichada. It's a perfect balance of refreshing, savory and spicy. Truth be told I ordered like 3 rounds of those, especially at only $9 for three of them, it's worth it. I am a huge fan of short rib. I've tried multiple restaurants, and this place beats all of those other places, no question! It's so tender and delicious. The Marichada ceviche was also a hit, and had a side of some sort of green avocado sauce, yummy! Parking is easy as well, there's some right in front or parking lots surrounding the buildings. It feels fresh, clean and really represents itself as a seafood place. The menu is heavier on seafood and lighter on fish, which is OK. good assortment of non-water proteins as well. Nice wine list with bottles and glasses at multiple price points. Service was good. Tanner handled a bit of confusion on an oyster order like a pro. A bit more attention would have been nice; clearing plates, filling water, etc. But overall, solid service. Food was interesting. Oysters were fresh tasting and served with several toppers. Not certain I liked the plastic cups and mini wooden ladle, but the flavors were there. Lobster bisque was a bit thick for my taste, but my better half thought it was great. Flavor was rich and satisfying. Last, the lobster and shrimp roll was too deconstructed. The lobster was dumped on top of an uncut croissant. You couldn't really eat it like a roll unless you scraped off the meat, picked up the damp croissant, cut it and then restuffed the lobster and shrimp inside. Too dang much work. While the flavor was good, this is not something I would order again unless they were willing to split in in the kitchen and turn it into a proper lobster and shrimp roll. Would absolutely go again, but you are now warned about the roll.

I'm a dan of grilled cheese so I'll definitely try one out at some point. They also have charcuterie boards. Drinks (4.5/5): Now for the good stuff! Unlike most beer spots, they also have wine and several cocktails. But when in Rome, so I went with a beer flight. You can choose five beers of your choosing from a list of 40 beers or so. While they don't brew their own beer, they have an interesting selection of local craft beers and European ones. Flights are always my go-to when they're offered as they allow you to try out a nice variety. That way, you can get both your brews and elevated cocktails fix in the same night.

I recently had the privilege of dining at Yard House for a date with my significant other, and I must say, it was a truly unforgettable experience. From start to finish, everything about Yard House exceeded our expectations. The extensive menu offered a wide range of options, from classic pub fare to international dishes, making it the perfect place for anyone with diverse tastes. My date and I decided to try their spicy chicken sandwich and the truffle fries, which were simply outstanding. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the spicy sauce added just the right amount of heat. The truffle fries were crispy and seasoned to perfection, making them the perfect complement to our meal. The atmosphere of Yard House was also a highlight of our experience. The restaurant had a lively and energetic vibe, with a fun and relaxed atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The decor was sleek and modern, and the lighting was perfect for a romantic date. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and they made sure that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. One thing that sets Yard House apart is its fantastic selection of beers and cocktails. My date and I tried a few of their signature cocktails, and each one was expertly crafted and delicious. The beer selection was also impressive, with various options from local breweries and international brands. In conclusion, I highly recommend Yard House to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was lively and fun, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the selection of beers and cocktails was impressive. I can't wait to go back and try some of their other menu items. This restaurant deserves a solid five stars, and I would give it even more if I could. Thank you, Yard House, for an unforgettable dining experience! Whether you're looking for a romantic night out or a fun evening with friends, Yard House has something for everyone. read more

I've been to several Yard House restaurants, and my go-to is usually the one inside Westgate. Every Yard House I've visited has consistently offered high-quality food and service, making it an obvious choice when searching for eateries in the area. Upon entering, we were greeted by friendly staff, and the restaurant was clean, inviting, with an excellent assortment of beers on tap. However, today's experience had some drawbacks. Although our server was sweet, she seemed overwhelmed, leading to extended wait times for drink orders and appetizers. For appetizers we order two orders of calamari along with chips and guacamole. A tip I would advise is, if you have a party of more than two, consider ordering an extra dish of calamari for portions. The food arrived scattered and at different times, with a soup served cold, necessitating a return to the kitchen. My usual favorite, the steak bowl, lacked the quality I'm accustomed to at Yard House. Despite ordering it medium, it came out well done, devoid of any redness or pinkness. The steak's small pieces should have made it easy for the cook to notice **pictured below. We had to request assistance from our server and other staff members to clear our empty plates, and after this, the overall service improved. I'd recommend Yard House for large groups, but if you're seeking quality food or aiming to impress a date, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. read more

I visited Yard House on a Saturday with my daughter for a casual meal, and the experience exceeded expectations in every way. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was exceptional. Our server was not only friendly but also attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed without feeling rushed. Yard House's extensive beer selection is truly remarkable, offering a wide variety of choices to suit any preference. Whether you're a fan of classic lagers, hoppy IPAs, or rich stouts, there's something for everyone. The sheer number of options makes it a standout destination for beer enthusiasts. The food was equally impressive. My daughter ordered the kids' mac and cheese, which was clearly homemade. It had a great balance--creamy without being overly cheesy--making it a perfect choice for younger diners. I opted for the chicken bowl, which was flavorful, well-portioned, and something I would certainly order again. The ingredients were fresh, and the dish was thoughtfully prepared, showcasing Yard House's commitment to quality. Overall, Yard House delivers on all fronts--exceptional service, delicious food, and an unmatched beer selection. Whether you're stopping in for a casual lunch or looking for a place to unwind with a cold drink, it's a spot worth visiting. read more

We have been eating at Yard House for years and think there food is very good and never have had a problem until now. There food is great but that dose not give them the right to keep a customers change at the end when they are paying. It seems that if your bill total is ending in 50 cents or less they keep the change or 51 cents or more they round up to the next dollar. Its not only not right its not legal. My change is very important to me, I save it and it adds up after a while. We will not continue to go to a place and wonder if our bill is going to over the 50 cent mark or under. Went to Yard House in Desert Ridge last night and had a great meal. I was pretty impressed with the place as a whole. Sunlight from the last traces of day caught the polished stone, and I followed its glow toward the sweeping Cinderella staircase. Descending each step felt like moving from grandeur into a secret world, until Kembara revealed itself--a serene, Asian-inspired enclave tucked beneath the resort. The transition from the bustling lobby to Kembara's intimate calm was immediate. At the host stand, the front desk team met us with warm smiles and easy conversation, their inviting manner making us feel less like visitors and more like guests arriving for a special occasion. The simple act of being welcomed so wholeheartedly set the stage for the evening. We were led to our table, where soft lighting cast a golden hue over the space. Almost at once, our server arrived, offering delicately scented towels to cleanse our hands. The subtle fragrance was a small but notable detail, signaling attention to the senses beyond taste. Our journey began with the Joy Luck cocktail. Presented in a low glass over a single, glistening ice cube, the drink was creamy with coconut milk, its aroma warm and tropical. The first sip was smooth, a gentle balance of spirit and sweetness that invited a slow, meditative start to the meal. Next came the sweet and spicy shrimp tempura. The dish arrived sizzling and fragrant, the crispy batter still whispering with heat. Each bite brought a satisfying crunch, quickly followed by a wave of sweet heat reminiscent of bang bang shrimp--but here, elevated, more refined, with a depth of flavor that lingered. For our mains, we ventured to the heartier side of the menu. The grilled New York strip arrived first, its charred edges releasing a smoky perfume, perfectly accompanied by tender baby bok choy with a subtle bitterness that balanced the steak's richness. Beside it, the pork belly noodles promised comfort and delivered with generosity--the noodles tangled with hearty, tender pork belly that surprised with its substance yet satisfied completely. As the evening drew to a close, dessert appeared like a whimsical encore: coffee donuts. The light-as-cloud beignets were tossed in flavored sugar, releasing a soft, sweet scent that mingled with the bold aroma of the Vietnamese coffee dip. The first bite cracked gently, then melted, the warm dough and coffee indulgence a perfect final note. Our server Colter was an excellent conductor on our delicious ride. Our server was informative, attentive, and incredibly fast, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the hospitality was outstanding. The service was top tier. I wish customer service like this existed everywhere. Hannah was outstanding. She was welcoming, attentive, and helped make our night even more enjoyable. She didn't linger but somehow always knew when to check back on us as soon as we needed something. We're always weary of trying out a new restaurant for the first time but dinner was spectacular. Everything we ordered was so delicious and cooked to delectable perfection. High compliments to the chef! Appetizer: Warm Bread Basket - A must have! The bread was so scrumptious that it doesn't even need the delicious whipped butter. But the butter was so amazing it was hard not to smother every morsel of bread with it. Fantastic appetizer option. Entrees: 1/2lb Dutch Harbor King Crab Legs - Served with perfectly cooked asparagus, potatoes, and the usual side of melted butter. My wife said the butter that the crab is cooked in/served with was so phenomenal that she didn't have the need to dip into the side butter. I chose this restaurant because my wife loves crab legs and these absolutely delivered. The meat was sweet and succulent, and most importantly, they tasted fresh! Filet Mignon (8oz) - Delicious and perfectly seasoned! Exactly cooked how my wife ordered it and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Willow Bend Lamb - I can't rave enough about how exquisite this was. I was worried the chops were going to be too large but the portion size was spot on to my liking. The roasted garlic thyme jus it's served with is rich, savory, and a great compliment to the tender and juicy chop. I would order this again and again. Sides: Parmesan Truffle Fries and Smoked Gouda Tater Tots - It's hard to mess up a potato but somehow Ocean Prime was able to make it even more delicious. The fries had a perfect balance of crisp and tender, and the parmesan truffle flavor was the cherry on top. Wonderful aftertaste and surprisingly pairs well with crab legs. The tots had a perfect crisp exterior and a fluffy inside. The offerings are generous so 1 side would suffice for 2 people. Every bite was scrumptious and a definite recommend for the table. Cocktails: My wife also had the Berries & Bubbles cocktail. Well, it was so yummy that she had 2 of them. I had a sip and although I'm not a vodka fan, I can attest that it was indeed yummy. The dry ice is a nice touch and adds to the beauty and appeal of this drink. The drink is poured at the table (Hannah is clearly a pro at it). It was like a dinner and a show! Dessert: We were offered to choose a dessert on-the-house to celebrate my birthday. We ordered the Warm Butter Cake for the table and a Chocolate Torte to go. Hannah was kind enough to comp both of them for us! The Warm Butter Cake was AMAZING! From the delicious ice cream served on top to the gooey buttery velvety center of the cake with a perfectly crisped edge, it was everything you'd want in a dessert and more. I'm sure it's the star of the dessert menu. I've yet to make it to the torte but I've no doubt I'll be swimming in chocolatey goodness when I do. Lastly, I had flowers delivered to the restaurant to surprise my wife, and I asked if they would please have them set at the table prior to our arrival. They were able to receive the delivery before opening time and were placed perfectly in the middle of our table (booth seating). I'm so grateful for how they accommodated my request and helped me execute a wonderful surprise that gained a beautiful smile from my wife. 10/10 experience. Five stars all across the board. Worth every dollar spent. I highly recommend Ocean Prime for any and all events, or if you're simply just looking for a delicious meal.

Ambiance (4/5): The type of look you expect at a high-end steakhouse and seafood restaurant. While they have some nice booths, both times, I've sat at the bar. Service (4/5): Service overall is pretty good. Not the most friendly, not super efficient, but efficient with a focus on the details. What you expect at a fine dining establishment. Drinks (4/5): Ocean Prime has a nice happy hour that ends at 6 p.m. on weekdays on both drinks and food. On my most recent visit, I had a $5 Heineken (there are several other options). There are also discounts on wine and select cocktails. Food (4/5): I went big on my last visit. There are a good number of appetizers on their happy hour and I started with two: the jumbo shrimp cocktail and the High Street roll. The shrimp cocktail is served with some dry ice which makes for an awesome visual aspect to the dish. Four large shrimp, chilled, in a bed of cocktail sauce. You can't really mess this one up. The High Street roll has tempura shrimp, cream cheese, scallions, and beef carpaccio. A+ for creativity. From there, I had the 8 ounce Piedmontese steak which was a first. It's an expensive steak, similar to wagyu in terms of quality. It's a matter of preference. Piedmontese is a lean, high-protein steak which wagyu is ultra-rich and buttery. It did taste different from any steak I've ever had in my life, but in a good way. Medium rare, of course. I ordered a twice baked potato a la carte for my side. A fantastic meal all-around, though not inexpensive. Happy hour does help though.

My husband ordered the guacamole and it came out relatively quickly. it was fresh and the chips were, too. For my main meal, I ordered a lobster bisque soup. The soup wasn't super hot, but they did give me a large serving of it. They actually charged me for two soups and one came out again later. Luckily, they took this back and removed it from my bill. Upon arrival, the atmosphere was welcoming, and we were seated promptly. Bari, our server, immediately set the tone with her warmth and genuine engagement, making us feel like our experience truly mattered. We began our meal with the cast iron shrimp and truffle arancini. The shrimp were colossal, served in a tomato, garlic, and butter sauce with whole cloves of garlic--a delightful surprise. However, the chunks of sauce-soaked bread were a bit too rich, and the dish arrived lukewarm. The truffle arancini, on the other hand, were outstanding: crisp exterior, piping hot, and packed with rich truffle flavor. Next came the crab & lobster cake and the NY strip. The cake was better than average, with big, hearty pieces of lobster that were satisfying but required a bit of patience to chew. The NY strip, ordered medium, arrived closer to medium-well and wasn't hot upon arrival. Its Kona crust seemed to conflict with the bed of chimichurri it was served on. As our visit wound down, we noticed some of the finer details of service were missing. The floor leader checked in on surrounding tables but skipped ours. When we left, two employees at the door continued their conversation without acknowledging us or opening the door. While there were some misses in temperature and the polish of service, Bari's outstanding attitude and the overall experience still made it enjoyable. We'll be back--and next time, we'll definitely ask for Bari.

My husband chose for us this year, and after hearing where we were going, I was a bit nervous because I noticed that Morton's only had a 3.3 rating. He made the reservation on Open Table. Upon arrival, we were seated right away. It was SO DARK in there, which I wasn't too sure about at first. However, my eyes adjusted after a couple minutes. Once my eyes adjusted, I could really appreciate the ambiance. It was very high end. Perfect for a romantic evening with the person you love I was surprised by a table topped with rose petals and a card that wished us a happy anniversary. Very nice touch!!! Our waitress Sabrina was THE absolute BEST!!! Manager must consider a raise for this girl. She had an awesome personality and was on top of it the whole night. We were served the appetizer bread, which was so warm and fresh. It came with a side of whipped butter. We started with French onion soup, which was top notch! We reserved our loaf of bread for dipping into our soup.... Perfect match! For our entree, we both got filet mignon. We got the au gratin potatoes and truffle fries for sides Everything was amazing! Sabrina brought a side of aioli which went well with the potatoes & even tasted great with the steak. We washed it all down with seasonal sangria- which was so delicious. We got the crème espresso dessert. It was perfect! The portion was just right. I could eat that every night! Then we were gifted an additional dessert of our choice as an anniversary gift from the restaurant. We went with their chocolate lava cake. We had that packed to-go, so I can't say much about it yet, but judging by everything else we experienced, I can only assume that it will be amazing. During our dinner, someone came up and took our photo, which was then brought to us in a little keepsake frame. I thought that was such a nice touch!! It really made the night that much more special. One thing I will comment on is the way the glasses smell... my water cup smelled like wet dog inside, which isn't pleasant. luckily my sangria held me over & I had a straw for it. My husband's steak was not cooked medium rare like he asked for, and we let Sabrina know, but let her know that we were not complaining or hoping for a comped meal. We both ordered our steaks the same, mine came out perfect! We just wanted to make note of it as something for the chefs to watch out for. People are definitely more particular at Higher end restaurants & I can see how that may really upset a customer.. especially when you're paying $63 for a piece of meat. All in all, thank you so much to Morton's for the most fabulous anniversary experience. We will be back!

There is service, and then there is hospitality…read more Service is taking an order, delivering a drink, clearing a plate and doing everything expected of you. Hospitality is noticing. Last night at Humble Oysters & Bubbles was one of those rare reminders of what genuine hospitality actually looks like. Humble Bistro and Humble Oysters are close to our home, so we visit both fairly often. We decided on dinner last minute and originally walked into Humble Bistro because my wife loves their Caesar salad with the crispy Brussels sprouts. And admittedly, it really is that good. There was about an hour wait, so we walked next door to Humble Oysters instead. My wife ordered a salad there, but barely touched it. Chef Jorge, who I have seen countless times walking through the restaurants, talking with guests and checking on tables, noticed. That part matters. We didn't complain. We didn't ask for anything. He simply noticed. He came over and asked if everything was okay. We laughed and explained that she had really wanted the Caesar from next door, but we didn't want to wait an hour for a table. Five minutes later, Chef Jorge walked over to the bar carrying that Caesar salad from Humble Bistro. No request. No production. He just did it. And somehow, that wasn't even the first example of hospitality that evening. Earlier, I ordered a glass of wine they had unfortunately run out of. Instead of the bartender returning empty-handed and asking me to pick something else, she came over with another bottle and offered me a taste. I ultimately decided I wanted a cocktail instead. Her response? She poured me half a glass of the wine anyway and essentially said, "Sip on this while I make your cocktail." Such a small gesture. Yet somehow those are the ones you remember. Then, to finish the evening, owner Tim stopped by. What could have been the obligatory owner "How was everything?" turned into a genuine 15-minute conversation. And that's when everything made sense. Hospitality like this doesn't happen accidentally. When it radiates from the owner, to the chef, to the bartender, to the rest of the staff, you're seeing culture. Restaurants spend enormous amounts of time trying to teach hospitality. But the best hospitality rarely feels taught. It feels instinctive. It's noticing the untouched salad. It's bringing something from the restaurant next door without being asked. It's pouring someone a little wine while they wait for their cocktail. It's an owner taking 15 minutes to genuinely talk with the people sitting at his bar. Food gives you a reason to visit a restaurant. Hospitality gives you a reason to return. Last night reminded me just how powerful the difference can be.

It's their take on bruschetta, although I'd describe it more as a flatbread. The flavors were good, especially the honey smoked salmon, but unfortunately it had very little jalapeño cream cheese. Without it, the flatbread was a little dry. I also would have loved a little more chili oil and lemon. The cream cheese would have added the richness it needed. Thankfully, our other dishes were great. We ordered the Smorgasbord, which is consistently fabulous, and split the Humble Caesar, one of our all-time favorites. Those two dishes never disappoint. Humble Bistro continues to be one of favorites. If I order The Kosher again I would ask they make sure and add cream cheese.
