Great, great customer service. A++ for your excellent customer service yard house. From the hosts all the way to management. Located at legacy place Dedham, next to showcase cinema, where you can either dine in or out this restaurant/bar is a must. There is ample parking and it's free. (Free parking loveee it. Makes me all tingly inside, knowing that there's free parking) My friends and I went during the day where select appetizers and pizzas were HALF OFF. Score! We ordered turkey sliders, fries, spin dip, bbq chic pizza and I think the chicken thai pizza. Great portions and delish. For the turkey sliders it comes with four and I guess in the process of getting the sliders to the plate one didn't make it, so we got a free order of sliders to go, and apologies from hostess to waitress to management. Great hospitality I tell ya. The pizzas...finger licking good. Now the reason why you get four stars instead of five yard house is because (1) your french fries are skinny. Not a fan. Felt like I was eating nothing :(. (2) the chips for the spin dip I guess are house made, and aren't that great. like just throw in some tortilla chips thanks. (3) The music playing did not suit this restaurant at all. like I like to hum and dance when I eat. I did none of that. AND the whole time we were sitting there we kept wondering what we were smelling. Something foul. Turns out the table smelled. Like they used a dirty rag to clean the table off. Any who B+ in all for Yard house! I'd go again read more

Great place to meet after work. We got there around 4 (yup we left work early) and the place wasn't crowded. They had happy hour specials which were good, the cheese pizza was the best, the sliders were just OK (they don't ask how you want it cooked) and the onion rings were good too. The beer menu is overwhelming! I couldn't decide so I settled on the Rose Garden which was great but it was $9 for a pint. When we left at 8 the place was packed. Not the best in Legacy Place but OK. read more

Solid place right here. Date night here with the wife a few weeks ago. Brutal heat out, super humid so we thought we'd escape here for a little bit. Sat down, ordered drinks and told the waitress we wanted a slow dinner. She was totally cool with it, told us to order when we're ready etc. Ordered some appetizers, she let us do our thing. Delicious chicken nachos, little light on the guac but I get it, avocados are expensive. Little while later, we ordered our mains. Terrific dinner. I've yet to have a bad experience at this place. Wait staff is attentive, patient and gives you space. Have never felt suffocated here. A+ read more

PROS: 160 beers on draft and humongous portion sizes. Try the beer sampler or if you're daring try the half yard. The taps are nicely arranged all around the bar. Nachos are great. CONS: Very popular and must come here early...or on the weekends expect to wait an hour. It gets very crowded and sometimes the wait staff will take a while to get your food. read more

I was extremely excited that there was a Yard House in the local proximity when I first moved here several months ago, but my excitement quickly waned as I discovered several downsides. Let me explain: If you are familiar with Yard House, it is a wonderful chain that has an incredibly large and diverse drink selection. They must have close to 100 different beverages on tap. The bar is in an oval, and there are a lot of places to sit. The menu also has some very interesting and unique choices, and they do have some great foods on their menu. Having said all that, The location is terrible, at least as far as parking is concerned. It is right next to the movie theater in legacy place, and anyone who is been there it will tell you that unless you show up at 3 AM on a Wednesday morning, it is nearly impossible to find a spot. They do have a parking garage, but that gets pretty busy as well, and really adds to the stress and complexity of the whole situation. This isn't necessarily the restaurants fault, but it negatively impacts your experience. After you have managed to find a spot, you now have to contend with the crowds, especially if you're going Thursday through Sunday night. The last time I went in here, which was several months ago, the wait was well over an hour. Again, this is a good thing in the sense that it shows you how desirable location it is... but even with a whole plaza right there, no one should have to wait that long for a table to eat food. Especially when paying top dollar. Speaking of money, the food and drinks are overpriced at this restaurant. While the food is good, it certainly does not justify the very high prices placed on it. The drinks are pretty much the same way. There are local restaurants in the same town that are half the price, and arguably just as good, if not better. The waitstaff does seem to be wonderfully train, and they are very respectful and professional. Especially in the light of the weight and the crowds they have to deal with, they do a nice job. Overall, this is a nice restaurant, if you were able to pull right up and get a parking spot, and then walk right in and get a table, it would probably get a four or 4.5 stars. But the inconvenience coupled with the high prices bring it down to three stars. If you want to check this out, just pick your time, and come off hours! read more

I've been here a few times and while I haven't had a bad experience, it's never been anything overwhelming. I do appreciate the service and the fact that they let you sample the hundreds of beers they have on tap. When they didn't carry Abita, though (even though it was on the take out menu), they didn't have any close suggestions for me, and it sort of felt unapologetic that they had nothing similar. the food here is definitely tasty but the portions are weird. My taco plate came with two tiny soft tacos and a huge mound of rice. i could have done without all the rice and definitely with one more taco! prices are sort of high but at least the food is quality. for dessert we ordered the s'mores brownie- it was chocolatey, marshmellowy goodness. not a bad place for dinner with friends if you're at LP, but expect to wait a while if you get there any time after 6. read more

We have always been a yard house fan - but lately our visit was nothing short of disappointment. The menu has drastically changed (good thing - since they moved from a book to a pamphlet :)) Here are my concerns though - - the waiting area is too small and crowded. I called at 6pm on Friday to see if we can put our name down for 7pm - flat out NO. I requested since I have a toddler and those who have kids know what a long wait can do your appetite and overall mood. However, we took our chance and made it to the restaurant. Upon arrival we were told there is a 45 mins wait - we got the table in 20 mins - THANK-YOU GOD! - John was our server and definitely least interested in serving us. He came over and took our drink orders and god forbid I said " water is fine for now" he seemed a little upset with that choice. I asked for sweet potatoes fries (delicious) and guac + chips (delicious) to get started. - John "dropped" the beer glass in front of my husband and kept walking- didn't care to see if we were ready to order additional app or dinner. Finally my husband grabs his attention and were ready to place additional order - Firecracker boneless chicken bites - DISGUSTING! The chicken was burnt and crispy - absolutely horrible! - Baja taco - FLAVORLESS and not appetizing at all - Chicken tinga taco - DISASTER! Worst dish I ever had in my life! I literally took a bite and left the remainder of the dish. The cost of food is not at all aligned to the quality of the food. I have eaten much tastier food at same or less cost. During our entire dinner service our water glasses were never filled - John didnt check on us even once. Our table was not cleaned - I stacked all the dishes to make room for our dinner plates (pic attached) We had to wait in agony for John to come back with the check and he was super unfriendly! If you are going to be in the hospitality business then smiling and being warm will take you a long way (piece of advise for John) Long story short if you want to drink, munch on snacks and watch sports then definitely go to Yardhouse If you would like to eat some good food and be treated with compassion then skip Yardhouse read more

Worst experience ever. Ever. Loud, poor service, packed with people (but certainly that won't last long as it just opened), cheap tasteless food (and drinks) at ridiculously high prices. If you go there to eat you can't help but walk away feeling like you got hosed. It's as if they're so excited by the beer options that they forgot to pay attention to the kitchen and the service and the ambiance and the seating and....you get the idea. In this economy, Bostonians (I hope) are smart enough to take their business elsewhere - even within Legacy Place every other option is better than this one. This place will close in 2 years or less unless they make major changes in both food quality and the management. read more

So I went here with family for father day, of course there was a wait, but that was expected. The good thing about this place is while you wait you can shop around the many different stores Legacy Place has to offer. Its NOISY, so dont go there expecting a romantic dinner with your significant other. Its perfect for family or groups, or whatever...We sat near next to the kitchen, which i liked because you can hear all the commotion of the cooks going on. I'm not a drinker especially not a beer drinker either, but the bar looked way cool! and ive also heard from friends that thier drinks are good. The food was great! Everyones food was great actually....the service was superb and i def will go back again...most likely tonight lol A+ great customer service, great food and great ambiance :) read more

I'm with four other guys and they're boozing it up and running up a tab, and this place has the balls to charge me $3.45 for a cranberry juice. WTF?! We finally sat down to eat, and have to admit the food was good., But it took forever to get. Service is slow, very slow. After we were done it took forever to get our check too. read more

Came here on a Friday evening around 9pm. Requested a table for 3 and waited about 30-35min. It was crowded when we arrived, so the wait for a table was understandable. This Yard House received fewer stars because of the service once we were seated. The overall crowd began to settle so we didn't understand why everything took so long. Ordered two apps and 4 entrees. By the time our calamari and slider apps came out they were both cold. We still didn't receive napkins and utensils (which is usually given when the party is seated) and since our wait or didn't check in on us until we were done with our apps, we ended up eating with our hands. Another 20 minutes passed before we got our cold wings and pizzas. The wait to get our meals boxed and our check was also another 20+ min (and by this time the restankurant had significantly died down). Aside from the terribly slow service, the food was very tasteful. The kung pow calamari is def a plus!!! All and all, particularly because of the service, yard house Dedham was an "eh". read more

I LOVE THE YARD HOUSE!!!! This place is the place to come to at 10 pm on a weeknight....they have an incredible late night menu and half price apps.. The creativity of the menu is really astonishing...they have a great selection of tons of different foods. Beer list is obviously incredible! But whats more incredible is the staffs knowledge of the menu and beer. They are trained properly! I would recommend this place 100x over Legal C Bar, that place sucks. Try the beer sampler and the poke bowl! read more

Jam packed, so people obviously like it. Very guy's guy kind of place. Great beer list. Nice to have 3 glass size options. Are you kidding me with the large size option though? Awesome if you're missing your kegger college days? If everyone at a table is drinking these, the server should honestly give someone yellow caution tape to put on the car that will be driven home. If you don't want to talk to the people you're out with, this is your spot. Ridiculously loud, dungeon dark and plenty of TVs to turn your attention towards. We've tried the Yard House a few times -- here and at Lynnfield (always at the prodding of my husband, hmm...) But this was last time. I don't have a sensitive stomach but this meal sent both of us racing to the bathroom. Never again. Tasted ok but terrible results! Based on tonight's experience I'd give a 1 star but based on other experiences that were probably a 3, I'm rounding this to a 2. Next time we're driving on Rt 95 and hungry, we'll pass. read more

I have visited the Yard House twice now and not really a fan. First time was just for drinks and second time was for dinner and drinks. The YH is stated to have a "HUGE SELECTION OF BEER ON TAP', well being a beer snob as one would say I did not think anything of the selection here. You can go mostly anywhere and purchase the beers they have on tap maybe not to the extent but still I could find all of them without trouble. The food was just okay, the meals were pretty pricey and nothing special. The atmosphere is great to watch a game though since there are TV's everywhere. If you are looking for a good beer restaurant stick with Sunset Grille or Bukowski's. They also overstated the wait time both of the occasions which was a good surprise since most places hardly ever do that. Would have given it a 2.5 if possible. I would visit the place again if I am at Legacy Place but otherwise I will not go out of my way. read more

Wanted to love this place but after two visits I am convinced that the food just sucks. Beer selection good but food is bad. How do you screw up Mac N Cheese? Me and another person I was with got it and we were both disgusted. Second time I pretended I would take the food home and was even more aggravated when they dropped the "to go" boxes off on the table for me to scrape off the plate into the box! Seriously? After dropping 60 bucks on food and one beer and now you want me to pack my own "to go" box? I'll return for drinks and maybe apps but only if I was with people that really wanted to go there. Definitely no entrees! read more

I have been to this particular Yard House a few times and it never disappoints. One of the more consistent chain restaurants. There is also an outdoor deck with a firepit that is used in the nicer weather. Great apps and sliders. They also have great burgers! And the caramel salt pudding dessert is INCREDIBLE!! Tip: From 4-6pm they offer a menu of 1/2 price apps and other discounted items. Good for happy hour or after work gathering. read more

Never had a bad time here. NEVER we go before or after seeing a movie or after shopping. The beer menu is HUGE!!! I would say that it dwarf's the food menu, but admittedly it's been a while since I don't live close by :( We always leave with a full stomach and left overs. It's not the cheapest place around, but it's definitely one of the nicest at Legacy place... and if you can't tell that by the typical 1-2 hour wait for a table on most nights... plus the fact that most people (myself included) are willing to wait, that should tell you something. So I apologize for this being a short review, but really nothing I can say will do this place credit. It's alive with activity, there are plenty of TVs and you will not leave this place hungry or thirsty. That's a promise. read more

Ok, if you drink beer they have plenty to offer. Been there before but not with the kids. Busy Friday night, and loud, perhaps that is what some are looking for. Food is fair, wouldn't go back for it. Wait staff works hard. If you are near Boston you should have better fish and chips, burgers and chicken sandwiches, not hard to fix, easy to do right and a good money makers. read more

My friends love this place, but I found it overpriced and really loud. The food was very good, (which is why it got a 3) the drinks were minimal, And the staff was mediocre. Parking is horrific. I would go again and give it another try...when I have some extra cash to blow. read more

I've been to a few locations, but always alone on work trips. Location was busy - but they were organized and wait went fast. We had the lobster/crab dip - liked that it came with chips and pita. Husband had ribs, I had pork belly tacos - liked the rice a lot. Dessert was nice with small portion options - husband raved about cheesecake . Next time he is getting brownie Sundae - takes 15 min., he said he wished they had mentioned that when he ordered dinner. We will be Back! read more

I last reviewed this establishment in July of 2014. In that review, I praised Yard House for cooking quality food and being a great place to dine. And now, 2 years later, what do I think of this place? It's still fantastic. The food here has been excellent the past two years since my last review. The onion ring tower appetizer has actually improved, which I previously thought impossible. They chefs have added a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese onto the dish that has increased its worth. The pizzas have also improved. The 4 cheese pizza has always tasted great, and the BBQ Chicken pizza has improved since my last review, consistently tasting just right. This place is competing with multiple other restaurants at its location. The fact that it has lasted for years despite the competition is due to the wonderful food here. I again encourage everyone to try out the Yard House in Dedham, MA 5 stars read more

I'm not a big Yelper, but I always leave some "feedback" when I get glutened by a restaurant after being assured that everything is safe multiple times. I know they can't guarantee complete safety, but some pretty big mistakes were made with my order. I called to confirm the order was going to be gluten-free *and* was told unprompted from the staff at pick-up that she had personally spoken to the chefs to tell them the order was for a celiac *and* noted that all the receipts and everything had the words 'gluten allergy' all over them. Even with all that, they still gave me a flour tortilla with my taco and the spicy rice (which I understand contains gluten). I didn't eat the taco, but I had already eaten a bunch of the rice and when I did 5 minutes of googling, learned they were supposed to have given me white rice instead. Unfortunately, if you are a celiac, this restaurant cannot be trusted, even though the waitstaff seem helpful and knowledgeable. read more

The wait staff is amazing! Perfectly attentive and very friendly! Takiya went the extra mile to make my parents 30th anniversary dinner special. Thank you Takiya!!! The food was great, I recommend the buffalo cauliflower which is my favorite. Some other great options are the spinach dip and the sliders. House beers are great too. Overall, it was really the waitress that made the night great. Hard to find great service like this! read more

I want to give this place a higher rating, but they were really disappointing tonight. I'll start with the pros and that's a very fine craft beer selection and a huge menu that includes vegan options. The problem is the consistency of service. We've sat at the bar, high tops and booths and received various levels of service. Sometimes great and sometimes terrible. Tonight was good service from our server, but here's some things that went wrong: 1) not changing the TVs to the local hockey game when we requested the channel. Not one other table near us was watching the TVs yet management wouldn't switch. When they finally changed the channel, they only put one tv on the bruins and that was behind us. Asked servers and hostesses and the manager is who determines what game is on which tv. He didn't help. 2) never refilling waters. Not cool after we ate and drank and tipped a lot. We too want to go home, but water during and after a meal is always appreciated. We asked several servers including our own and it never happened. Great service is king. This place has a menu and space to be great, but staff needs to support it. read more

They only have yellow mustard. No brown, horseradish or grey poupon. So what does that tell you? In my opinion: kid-friendly, but lacking in the details, where it counts. I should mention that I have been here only at lunch, and most of those times with kids, so I can't vouch for the evening scene or the beer menu. I can tell you that when a popular movie lets out, or it's dinner time on a Thurs-Fri-Sat, you can't get near this place, and if you don't like crowds, loud music and being scrunched, you wouldn't want to. For the most part, the food was good, and the service friendly, if not exactly perfect. There were a few awkward second-asks and craning necks for wait staff, but nothing out of the ordinary for a relatively new restaurant in a successful "lifestyle" mall. Incidentally, Yardhouse is one of the best choices at Legacy Place for a sit-down restaurant. The Aquitane Bistro and Met Bars are the worst of their chains. P.F. Changs is the same everywhere, as far as I can tell. Like all chains, their menu is chock full of selections, but I'm afraid that they didn't take the time to properly categorize things, which sounds like a hi-falootin' piece of criticism, but I think is accurate. What is the difference really, between "snacks" and "appetizers?" or "Appetizer Salads" and "Entree Salads (hint: it's not the size)?." Further, I'm not sure burgers don't belong in Sandwiches, but that's an argument for another day. "House Favorites" contain lots of different things that you might have been looking for elsewhere. The kids menu offers all the predictable favorites, though my kids didn't particularly enjoy the burgers or the chicken tenders. Looking around, it was clear that most kids did. The size of the portions is large, and in most cases, larger than you needed or wanted, so make sure not to order hungry and then have to take lots of stuff home. Back to the details: the Sweet Korean BBQ appetizer is a nearly perfect dish, that comes rice and some green vegetables, but every time I've ordered it (which was every time I've gone to Yardhouse) it was rife with fat. Now at a Korean BBQ shack that might be OK, but at a high-end, chain-style restaurant they could do better, and should. They've got the black walls, huge flat screen monitors, beer list and loud music all set. Now they just have to get to the details. And the mustard. read more

I am definitely a fan of the Yard House. I'm not going to lie...I have a soft spot for ridiculously posh atmospheres. Which is fairly unlike my personality :-) THE BEER: I love that they have 160 beers on tap. Yes, some of them are pricey. If you come here and get a Miller Light, it's not so pricey! I decided to indulge in the Youngberry Chocolate which is Lindeman's Framboise Lambic and Young's Chocolate Stout. IT WAS OUTRAGEOUSLY delicious. Another neat thing you can do is get there Sampler of the Day for only $8.95 for 6-5oz. Pours. That's pretty good! Also, you can get samples of the beers for $1. They give you a 3 oz. pour. THE FOOD: I happen to think the food is VERY tasty. The first time I went we got the Bearnaise burgers and the BBQ pizza. I had NO complaints at ALL. They were delicious! The second time I got the Ahi Tuna Sandwich. I really enjoyed it, but I wish I got it on a different bread! The best part is Happy Hour: Monday - Friday * 3PM - 6PM and Sunday - Thursday * 10PM - 12A. HALF PRICED APPETIZERS AND PIZZAS! My boyfriend and I made a meal out of that! Delicious AND easy on our pocket. THE PRICE: I know it's pricey, but with happy hour and sample specials, I think I can deal with it. :-) read more

Mixed reviews... really 3.5 stars. I'm a New Yorker; I love Yard House. The Fenway location is on point. The Legacy Place one (closer to my bfs house) is not so much. We ordered the pig candy and short rib jerky appetizer which is delicious, but was ice cold. I know the jerky should be cold, but the bacon should not have been. The waiter reheated it for us and brought it back out, but reheating meat changes textures. The duck fat potatoes were not as good as we have had them (many times). My caesar salad came dressed, despite my request for it to be naked, hah. They took it back and fixed it. My bfs fries took forever to come out, after he had already started working on his sandwich, though at least they were hot when they did. Yard House is still good, even when it's (semi) bad, but I'll have to make the trek to Boston from now on. read more

I have been coming to the Yard House on a monthly basis for years. I would choose this place for my birthday every year because it was just so good. But now, I feel like things have changed. I ordered the sliders and fries. It tasted as if it were microwaved. The cheese was still cold. The burger, cooked medium when I asked for medium well. I was extremely disappointed. The service was also terrible. Our waitress forgot about us; we had to get her attention when she passed by us. read more

I returned to the Yardhouse for the second time last night, and felt that an update is in order. Unfortunately, the food was not as wonderful as I had remembered. This time, I got a few aps with my flight of beer: Fried Chicken Strips California Roll Chilled Edamame The chicken strips were fine- not much can go wrong there- but I was pretty disappointed when I received the California roll and edamame. I must not have read the description thoroughly enough, because I was surprised to see that the California roll is not a roll at all, but rather, a cake-like concoction of California roll ingredients- minus the seaweed. All of the flavors were there, piled on top of each other, giving me the impression of an overcompensating effort to make the sushi non-traditional. It tasted good enough once everything was mixed together, but it lacked the practicality that is historically central to the design of sushi. I'm no chef, but I can think of other ways for the Yardhouse to own their sushi without interfering with its basic design. With regard to the edamame, I have a personal preference for the dish when it's cooled but still at room temperature. The Yardhouse serves it chilled, which seemed harder to eat (the pods snap when you pull out the bean with your teeth). Not a big deal, but it was a variation that was noticeable compared to what I've enjoyed at Japanese restaurants. Bottom line, I still feel that the service is excellent, the beer selection is amazing, and the portions are generous, however be wary of the "non-traditional" sushi at Yardhouse, and read the descriptions carefully! read more

Just dined here for the 3rd time. When I think of this place, I think of comfort food. As in, I eat and then I want to do nothing more than (blissfully) curl up on my couch for the night. Everything I've tried I've enjoyed and it's been a game-time decision each time as so many things on the menu catch my eye. The long wait every.single.time is a bit discouraging BUT the beer selection helps and usually once I get a few good and strong brews in me, time starts to fly. (Perhaps not always a good thing). We shared the spinach and cheese dip between 4 people and though it was quite delicious, it wasn't enough dip given the amount of crispy flat breads included (or the price). Give me more dip people! I had the crab cake hoagie (again) for my meal and pretty much polished it off aside from a bite or two I just couldn't manage. My co-diners enjoyed their entrees as well and we all left full and ready to be rolled home. Our server was outgoing and attentive. I'm only with holding a star because I still think the prices are a bit high given portions but all-in-all, Yard House is still doing a solid job. read more

We were surprised to find they do not allow dogs on a open patio, no reason they shouldn't be allowed. I know of no Local ordinance not allowing behaved dogs in an open patio. If this is a company policy it is silly, and I'm sure a real loss of potential revenue in the warm months. Get with the times, the restaurants/patios that do well invite dogs and their owners. If you have a policy, at least provide a good reason behind it. read more

If you are in the area Legacy is a fun outdoor mail that I have been to several times. Yard House is a chain and consistently very good. Disappointing experience overall. The wife and I stopped by Yardhouse this past weekend for dinner. We were quoted a wait time of 45-55 minutes; when we checked in 45 minutes later to get a pager there were "two people" ahead of us in line - at least 15 minutes later and the pager went off. That timing doesn't quite add up, does it? Also noticed that there seemed to be one person handling the time estimates and pagers for the droves of people coming in...didn't really make much sense with a line of people out the door. We get sat down at a table by the window up front. As we are lead over the table is still being wiped down. After sitting down, we notice the check from the prior guests' was still on the table. Not off to a good start. On to the food and drinks. The beer selection is great and the cocktails are equally as good. No complaints there. With dinner, things started to really go downhill. I ordered the southern fried chicken, my wife ordered the hamburger sliders. After waiting for what seems like ages - we ask the waiter where our food is. "Sorry, the kitchen is really backed up right now" we are told. Backed up kitchen on a Saturday night? The one time when a restaurant would be consistently busy each and every week, without fail? Our food finally comes out, the wife's burgers are nice and hot but my fried chicken is ice cold (so cold, in fact, that the cream sauce surrounding it and the mashed potatoes was congealed...gross). I send the chicken back and the manager comes over to apologize (I give points for the manager checking in so quickly), and he got me another beer on the house after I accidentally spilled the one I was drinking with about 1/4 left. The chicken comes back out about 10 minutes later and was awesome. On the negative side though, my wife had to finish her sliders in that time as they were getting cold. So much for getting to enjoy our dinner together! Now, the kicker. The wife and I finish our meal and out comes the check. The check had my fried chicken entree on it twice! The waiter comes back, apologizes, and takes one of them off. With this many mishaps in one meal I was a bit surprised for even one fried chicken entree to be on that check. Overall, two stars because when the food is done correctly it's very good. Drink selection is also very good. Loss of three stars though due to poor handling overall of a very disappointing dinner. The experience here just does not line up with the premium price they charge for everything. Interestingly enough, every time I have come here for lunch it has been great. For a place that seems to be consistently busy at dinner time, they just do not seem to have their act together. read more
