I didn't care for the food. It was so goopy and bland. Didn't have a nice atmosphere either.

This was my first time at a Korean restaurant like this! I've been to Taiwanese style restaurants…read morewith similar dishes, but this is different! My boyfriend and I visited on a Friday night. Surprisingly it wasn't busy. It's a casual spot with lots of parking and seating. Very clean too. The employees were very nice and explained the process to us since it was our first time. You add the food you want to your bowl and pay for how much it weighs at the end. They have lots of options I was surprised! Once you weigh it, you pay and choose the broth or sauce you want. Both my boyfriend and I got mild rose options. You then sit with your ticket and they bring it to your table. The food comes out really fast. The mild isn't spicy at all, I'd get medium next time. It's more like a stir fry rather than a hot pot soup! I liked it, very flavorful you don't even need the side sauces.

After we are assigned a table, we go to the food counter and fill a bowl with our favorite hotpot toppings - meat/noodles/veggies/tofu/fishballs. Then we bring the bowl over to the cashier counter, choose our favorite way to cook it (we like Mala style), and pay for it. Next, we head to the sauce counter and make our favorite peanut sauce concoction before returning to our table and waiting for our hotpot. Peanut sauce is a perfect combo with the Mala hotpot. Other than the pay-by-the-pound hotpot, they also have some Korean food entrees. There is also a bar if you're there for it. Overall, interesting vibes mixture; though I've only been there for the hotpot.

While chilling inside the food court at the Source, I took a look around to see what food to eat…read more Came across STN...or is it TSN? Very confusing. Anyways I saw that they had plenty of noodle dishes to choose from so decided to give it a go. Ordered the yukkaejang (spicy braised beef soup) with the rolling dumplings (both kalbi and kimchi). The dumplings were called rolling because I assume they were rolled out and shaped into balls - spherical meat stuffing balls covered with a thin dumpling wrapper. I've eaten dumplings my entire life but this type of dumpling was a first for me so I was very interested in trying this out. Turns out the dumplings were pretty good. It does fall apart pretty easily when picking them up with chopsticks to dip into the sauce which was a bit annoying, so you should be mindful and careful of that if ordering them. The yukkaejang was not the best I've had but it was still pretty good. Prices were fair and the quality of food was solid. I wish they served free water as they make you buy bottles of water if you ask them for water. But with all that being said, I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again.

Let's just lead with the food is amazing. I had the soup noodles with beef bones with noodles. Beef…read moresoup is incredible layered with flavor and delicacy. The meat on the bone was a little tough and required a considerable amount of force to pull off to eat, but the flavor still was awesome. Unfortunately, while the food was great, the service was offputting to say the least. I understand we are in a strip mall, and I have very low expectations, but the girl serving us was surly and gave the vibe that are very presence was an annoyance to her. Any question we asked was responded with the an exasperated exhale. It clearly angered her that we didn't know how to use her point of service machine and was angry that we tried to order fried chicken, which is apparently not available anymore, but still on the menu so we got yelled at about that too. We tried to pay with the card, but apparently didn't do it right so it got scolded for that too. If the food wasn't so crazy kid, I would not come back but their front staff could take a long walk off a short pier.
