    Beer flight
    Tinyee H.

I got the flight: pils, red wine ipa, stout, and sour Pils: light, clear, low flavor Red wine ipa: unbalanced Stout: I get the espresso but not the bourbon barrel flavor, and there was a tart/sour taste Sour: def sour but like vinegar not same as LAB. No disrespect but the beers are not up to standard. I tried the abbey. It was dilute and didn't even taste like it was 10% abv. The maple porter was so sweet and thin.

Listen - this place was just over a week old when I went. They have some kinks to work out and I in no way want to bash this new local establishment. I plan to be back and hopefully see their continued improvements and growth. That being said, here's an honest review of my experience. First impression walking in- standard brewery design. When you walk in the bar is to the left, coat hooks on the right, and a few tables towards the back. Place was medium busy with 3 guys behind the bar. Took a while to get my flight because the beer lines weren't working properly. The brewer who was there (I forget his name now) was running around trying to fix things. The 2 other pourers were a little overwhelmed but smiling and friendly and doing their best to keep up with the crowd and answer questions. However, the one pourer didn't know anything about the beer which may not seem like a big deal but it sort of is when you work at a local brewery. I wanted to know the differences between the IPAs and hear more about the cream ale because it tasted more like a sour- like a Gose. So, now about the beers.... It seems like they may name them without knowing the style of beer they are brewing. For example- the cream ale tasted more like a Gose. Some friends didn't quite think the golden ale was in fact a golden ale, and the saison seemed a little off to me. I really enjoyed the golden ale and the oatmeal stout but the oatmeal stout had such a big head that I barely got any actual beer. The saison was ok and the Vermont IPA was a little flat, whereas the Main IPA was a little foamy. I know that's a problem with the lines and I realize they are new and working out some kinks. Overall, it was an A-Ok experience and I wish these guys all the best. I look forward to returning and look forward to updating this review a few months down the line.

    I. Can't. Even. I can't give it anything other than 5 stars because after the Sunday we stopped here for a drink all I could thin of for the next 2 days was having another Chocolate Habanero Stout! It may questionably make me sound like an alcoholic, but damn was that a good beer!! Been here now a second time with friends and we're definitely coming back again! Great beers and great staff!!

A good selection of beers here and very friendly staff. Very laid-back atmosphere and they offer free bowls of pretzel nuggets and cheeseballs. You can order food from Vinny's next-door and have it brought over or grab your brew & bring it to Vinny's. The stout was the best offering I tried. Like the planks too.

Great place we always stop in when we're walking around town. Great beer friendly service. A really nice variety.

Didn't think it was possible, but after 3 years it has solidified itself as the worst brewery in NJ. Just undrinkable

Great local place to stop by and have a beer or six. Only complaint is wish they were open 7 days a week.

The beers and the atmosphere make Yale's terrace the best place to hang, meet good people and drink some of NJs best brews. Be there.

My favorite beer was the Vermont IPA #721 but they had a beer made with fruity pebbles which was also awesome (forgot the name).

As I approached the door--something many others had done before me--I was abruptly stopped by a man who turned out to be the owner. He rudely told me "NO," and then followed up with "Would you walk into a refrigerator in a restaurant?" Honestly, if the refrigerator was in the middle of where the party was being held, then yes, I probably would--especially if there was no signage saying it was off-limits. Only after this encounter did he put up an "Employees Only" sign, which tells me it wasn't clearly marked before. This could have been handled in a much more respectful and professional manner. The owner's attitude was unnecessarily rude and confrontational. If he expects people not to go in, proper signage should be in place before the event begins, not after making guests feel unwelcome.

We came right before opening and waited in the car for the doors to open. Upon entering there were several people doing the same thing which speaks volumes for this place. It got busy right away and there was some type of event going on in the back too. Everyone was there to enjoy their beers and boy were they enjoyable. The girl who waited on us was very nice and honest as she gave my gf her brand new Chanel sunglasses she had left on the counter earlier when we were ordering. Thank you! This place has chill brewery vibes as you can see their production area and it's pretty spacey and I love how they are in an old post office building. They have a lot of board games to play while enjoying your beers and they also sell some merch. We ordered a flight: - Resting Grinch Face, Winter Warmer 5/5 - Terrible Twos Anniversary, Imperial Hazy IPA 5/5 - Kite and Key, Hazy IPA 5/5 - BOO-Yah, American Porter 5/5 Every beer was tasty af!!!
