We had a great breakfast and a reasonable price with excellent service! We found one more reason to come back and explore this area.

I LOVE this nice little local cafe and the food that "mama" cranks out is amazing! Driving from Moab to Phoenix, we decided to get our of Moab and get down the road a ways before stopping for breakfast - ended up being a great decision! As we approached Blanding, we looked at Yelp for breakfast dinners in Blanding. Came across Yaks and pulled in. Walked in and immediately fill in love - very much of a family feel. Got seated right away and got some delicious coffee right away. We ordered then the Maricopa happened - everything we ordered came out fast, came out hot and came out delicious. Breakfast quesadilla was so big my wife took half to go - and it was delicious. Biscuits and gravy was some if the best we've everything tasted. My BIL had the Yak special and said it was so good, he'd order it again. Best breakfast though was my Skie Burrito! I've never seen this on any other menu before and it was one of the best things I've ever eaten for breakfast. So good, I asked to go back in the kitchen and personally extend my thanks and appreciation to "mama". If you're ever near Moab, take the hour long trip down to Blanding to experience this place. read more

Portion sizes were generous. Our server was friendly and took good care of us. The menu contained all standard breakfast fare--nothing special but nothing missing. The food was fine--again, nothing special but nothing at all wrong with it. read more

Best pancakes I had on my entire trip. Hot, fluffy and tasted great! Service was top notch, very friendly and quick to follow up after the food was served, making sure everything g was to my liking. Will make it a stop on any of my trips to the area again, even if it is out of my way. read more

The Navajo tacos are amazing! Small feedback is the onions could be chopped up a bit smaller, loved the salsa too. We had a dog so could not sit inside, bummer as it was empty, the inside is nice with plenty of tables, easy on/off highway, the outside picnic tables are in full Sun, would be great if shade could be available. read more

Our family of 4 stopped in for breakfast. The staff wasn't overly friendly. They weren't especially rude, but not welcoming. The food was mediocre. My biscuits and gravy were good. Son enjoyed his breakfast burrito. Wife had the Yak pancake meal. She said it was fair. My daughter hated her omelette. Crazy part was, my daughter asked for strawberry jelly for her toast. The waitress basically told her, "you get what you get". So much for the customer is always right. read more

Not great... the hash browns are always undercooked, everything is kind of bland and the service is so rushed. It feels like they just want to get you in and out as soon as possible. They ask you what you want before you are even sitting down and they bring you your check while you are still eating... consistently. They also bring out condiments like jelly butter etc and they just throw them on top of your food. I just feel like it could be good, but it's all just kind of half assed. I'm a sucker for little local hole-in-the-wall spots and this one is amazing! Packs a punch with huge, stick to your ribs meals, super quick and kind service and reasonable prices. If you're a large group and they are busy, they might have to you split up and an 18% gratuity will be added. Wouldn't take are business because they were closing in 20 minutes . as a business owner my self you should be taking your last costumer at closing not before . We stopped at Yak's for a quick lunch. The service was great, they gave us water and then drinks really fast. We had a group of 6, and 3 of them were kids. The warning on the menu about unruly kids made us anxious about being there and making sure our kids were on their best behavior. The food came out fast and was fine. My husband enjoyed his Navajo taco, my chicken sandwich was just fine, nothing special. The fires were unsalted and the salad was pretty plain. Prices were decent for what you got. read more

This restaurant is the only place out in the middle of nowhere. Certainly nothing fancy about it. The servings r enormous. Breakfast is served all day. I had the Yak breakfast. 2 huge, thick pancakes, 2 eggs, bacon and hash browns. The coffee is not real good but they refill the cup often. My husband had the burger and fries. Once again the serving was plenty big. A huge burger with a lot of fries. Service is very good. It's a small town restaurant in the wilderness but it's pretty good joint. read more

We got here as soon as they opened at 6am on our way to the four corners. We were received very well. Place is very quaint and gave me a back home sitting in my dining room vibe. Very cozy. The coffee was good not the best but not the worst either. Now on to the food, I had the biscuits with white gravy and needless to say it was one of the most delicious breakfast since I had while traveling in Utah. My children had pancakes, and the other one had a breakfast burrito. My husband had the omelette when the food arrived to the table. It was well cooked and very well seasoned. No one spoke at the table that's how good the breakfast was. The portions are huge, and we were able to take some of our practice to go because it was just too much. From the time we ordered our breakfast to the time it was brought to the table. It was very quick well we appeared to feel that the food arrived very quick, but we have no complaints. We also purchased two sweatshirts while we were there. The quality of the sweatshirts are very good for the price that we paid for them. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is either staying at Moab or traveling through Blandings Utah that this is a must stop for breakfast. Friendly, fast service and classic diner food. The fry bread was great, so get that for sure. The portions were large. And this Seattle-area gal liked the drip coffee, so that's worth 5-stars right there. We all left full and happy. The kids loved their food. Vegetarian burger was great. My husbands order the roast beef sandwich, but received the hamburger instead. He kept the hamburger for times sake. I asked for a slice of lemon for my water and was charged 99 cents. The waitress said it was noted on the menu. I check the posted menu on my way out, and went online and looked at the menu and nowhere is a charge for a slice of lemon mentioned. The food was nothing exceptional, the mashed potatoes tasted like instant. They did have gluten free bread for toast. read more

The food is pretty good here - even if price are a bit high - so this would probably be a good place to stop anyway but what most attracted and pleased me most was this being one of the few places in the area where masks were not only NOT required but PROHIBITED! Last stop on our way out of town. They were so friendly, even while telling us we couldn't come in the building with outside masks on. We ordered to go and they brought it out to our car. It is a hole in the wall. But, it is clean inside and the food is good. Clearly. It is the place the locals go; that is an endorsement.
