Patrick and Shylowe (owners) have created a wonderful place with FRESH sandwiches (CHOOSE THE SOUR DOUGH bread...made fresh daily)! The sandwiches are generous in size, and served with yummy potato chips and pickle. The menu was so good... I had a hard time choosing so Patrick helped me with opting with one of the favs! Menu is limited for lunch. They have like six options. Meat is very processed. Bacon is cold and fatty. Basically chewed it until I just spit it out. Lots of cheese to make up for the lack of meat. One very thin slice of turkey with a bunch of onions. Coffee comes from a Keurig. Chips are good. Staff seemed rushed and irritated. Cashier had greasy gloves on and my drink just slipped out of my hand. Sorry to be so honest, but I expected something different based on the other reviews. read more

This place is great! Stopped in Monticello last week to drop an elk off at the butcher and came in for lunch. Had a fabulous hole-in-the-wall sandwich. It was so good that when we came back to Monticello to drop off another elk, we stopped for lunch again and are planning on getting breakfast here tomorrow before we hit the road. The service is great, the jalapeno cheddar sourdough and pickle bread are fabulous. Must stop in monticello! The pickles are great, too! read more

Outstanding spot to stop for an amazing lunch in this sweet little town! We were greeted by Aliya when entering the little restaurant and pleasantly surprised by LCD/LED menu screens, so much goodness listed that we had a hard time trying to decide! We enjoyed the Trail Grinder Signature Sandwich - OMG is this delicious with the green chile aioli! After "trying" just one bite, I stole the other half it was so good! We also loved the Aloha Pineapple smoothie (with yogurt) and a bagel with homemade Maple Bacon cream cheese. Everything was fantastic! The restaurant itself is very clean with lots of seating. I absolutely loved the cute dog decor, being that I'm a Boxer mom! Special shoutout to Aliya (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly) for making our first visit so amazing! This place is fabulous!! One of my co-workers recommended grabbing this place, and I am so glad I stopped in! They have great hours (opening at 6am on weekdays, open on Sunday) and their food is awesome! I'll come back and try something else but I tried their Greek Sandwich the first time I came in, and it was so good I haven't tried other things yet. Their coffee was hot and tasted great! The counter helper had a "why not?" attitude for my special dietary request so that was refreshing. The food was prepared quickly but not fast since quality takes a moment. We wanted to get a quick breakfast before leaving Canyonlands area. Saw that this place has good reviews and decided to stop by and it did not disappoint! It's a small little family run restaurant. The cashier, a college aged student, was super sweet and very attentive! Our breakfast sandwiches arrived quickly and was delicious! My partner liked his iced latte as well. We ordered the turkey avocado swiss sandwich which we shared and it was plenty big to do that. It was super good and it comes with a pickle and potato chips. Aliyah was fantastic. You can really tell she cares about the quality of food and service she is putting out. Loved their breakfast sandwiches and iced coffee. We showed up around 7AM to get a quick bite before we hit the road, but the sign said the hours have changed. The owner came out and said come on in, she would get us fed even though they weren't open. Really nice place, big menu and the owner is a super friendly person. We got smoothies, breakfast sandwiches and coffee. The food a d drinks were perfect, to fuel us up for the long drive ahead. The coffee was that perfect balance of strong but still with a good taste. When we come back to visit the National Parks we will definitely be returning! read more
