I needed a snack and wanted to try somewhere new (to me). A quick Yelp search led me to Yakitori. I called and ordered some dragon salmon bites-- breaded fried salmon. The woman on the phone was very kind. The whole staff was just as kind when I went in to pick up my salmon. The bites were pretty good. I think a different sauce may have been a little better and enjoyed them more with the yum yum sauce I had at home. I hope to return to try their hibachi sometime. Tonight was my first time trying Yakitora and I truly enjoyed my experience. I met a friend and grabbed a seat at the bar. The space is inviting and they play the music I like. We were immediately and warmly greeted by our server, India who briefed us on the happy hour food and drink menus. We opted to share several appetizers including Spicy Shrimp, Egg Rolls, Salmon Bites and Chicken Wings. Everthing was served fresh and piping hot. I also tried the Lychee- Pear Martini and it made me so happy. Honestly, it was one of the best I have had. India definitely nailed it. I both recommend and look forward returning soon and often. Okay so few problems with this restaurant. Asked if I could have my steak medium rare. The employee informed me that they "don't do that here" which was fine. However they absolutely torched the steak burning it to a crisp leaving it chewy like a rubber band. Wouldn't of been as much of an issue if it was actually seasoned which the entire meal was not. Rice taste literally like minute rice that they put a egg in very lazy. The salmon bites app was a little expensive considering it was over 15$ for 6 small chunks of over fried unseasoned fish. As for the rest of the hibachi vegetables tasted as they where cooked in so much butter it was the it the only thing I could taste Overall highlight was the drinks where not terrible but if you are coming here for an actual flavorful hibachi I would pick somewhere else read more

I'm not a huge hibachi fan, but this place changed my mind. If you go in expecting a Benihana style show, you'll be disappointed, but if you're looking for a great meal, this is it. Service was consistent, though a little slow. It was ok for me because I enjoyed the delicious cocktails (try the Cherry Blossom Lemonade) while we waited. Appetizers were good, but the star was the main course, particularly the rice. Omg, straight buttery goodness and cooked to perfection. Asian flare inspired the decor and there are movies playing to keep you entertained. They do take reservations and I suggest you make one since it was a little crowded even on a Thursday. Our family wanted to celebrate our niece's birthday, and she suggested Yakitori. My spouse and I arrived a bit earlier than everyone else, but was greeted by a friendly, older gentleman. He allowed us to sit in their relaxing, comfortable patio area while waiting for the rest of our group. The outdoor server, (also friendly), made sure we had something to drink as the group showed up. We were seated with 15-20 people in our group, which really shocked the restaurant personnel. The menu had some very good offerings, while not being overwhelming, which I loved. We ordered the Yakitori Egg Rolls and Yakitori Spice Dry Rub Wings for our appetizer, and they were DELICIOUS! Such a nice crisp and flavor from both items, cooked to perfection. The other family members at our table ordered the Ying Yang Wings, and loved them. We all ordered the Yakitori Hibachi Chicken and the only way I could describe it is: FANTASTIC! The rice, chicken and vegetables were cooked and seasoned with great flavor. The only thing I had wished, was if they had included a few other vegetables in it - Broccoli, Daikon or maybe some edamame. Otherwise, it was well-plated, great tasting and had wonderful portions. My compliments to the chef or chefs! So why only 3 stars? The following reasons: 1. Other than the 2 friendly superstar people mentioned at the beginning of this review, the other staff members were either aloof, cold, or acted like they did not want us there. 2. They were shocked at the amount of people we had. Granted, a lounge type restaurant may have an average accommodation of up to 4-5 people. However, any restaurant should at least be ready in case they have a large influx of diners. If they would not be able to accommodate a large amount, it should be stated. 4. Prices. Hibachi and other offerings from Yakitori are not necessarily on the cheap side, but expected. Paying $5 for a soft drink, is just ludicrous. 3. The physical atmosphere was calm and serene, just like I would like it. I did not feel so calm, when the staff member/possible manager stared at us the entire time while we ate. The staff serving our food, (exception being the one who served us on the patio), were cold and seemingly emotionless. Instead of feeling like valued "new" customers, we were treated like disturbances, or as if we were just plain unwelcome. When we were leaving, we happened to see the other manager with a ball cap. He looked sharp, and nicely dressed, which is what I would expect from a manager. Yet, he did not say hello, or ask if we enjoyed our food/experience. He just glared at us as he was speaking with an older man who came from outside. This was a mixed bag for me because the food, design of the restaurant and music were just the right things I would look for in a place to take my close friends or family. But the staff/restaurant (mostly), were unwelcoming, cold and made us feel like we bothered them. I will be taking my self and my money somewhere else. The only way I would recommend this place to anyone, is if the restaurant staff received training in Customer Service. (Which includes more than just transaction of goods/services and leave). read more

Not your traditional hibachi restaurant as they make it in the back and it's not authentic Japanese hibachi (but has hibachi in the states EVERY BEEN?), but it's good. The food is really good, just too salty. The meat is sometimes overcooked, but they have the flavor profile to the likings of most Japanese American establishments. Service is slow, as other have state in their reviews. The drinks are a strong and delicious diversion while you wait. SERVICE is THE NUMBER ONE reason why these establishments fail, and this one is no exception. No socializing, staff. Ask yourself how you'd like to be attended to. The person who brought my food out told me it was the order without soy sauce but it wasn't and it wasn't until our waitress came to our table and told me I didn't have the right plate. Went here and was a bit disappointed. Slow area so only one server. The doors were open to the outside so we were able to hear loud vehicles which was not pleasant. Food came out one by one and did not taste good at all. The rice was bland. The chicken and the sauces provided were not able to please us. We made dinner reservations for tonight & had a great experience. Ken & Jason are very welcoming and greeted us upon our arrival. We were seated immediately. There's a great vibe, nice decor, good lighting & the restaurant is clean. Staff is attentive. Our server was personable and ensured we had everything we needed. We even had another employee ask about our experience in passing. The food was very good, flavorful & plentiful. I had the chicken & steak hibachi combo and my other half had the shrimp hibachi with extra veggies. We split the wings, which were perfect. They keep it simple, but everything is very well done. First, NOT AT THE TABLE HIBACHI!!!! That being said the food was very good but not what we expected.

We waited all day to eat because we knew that we were going to yakitori to have some great food and drinks as we experienced on 3/22/24 (nothing was below a 10) We were surprised that we had to wait until 5p - a little late for my liking but we were willing to wait; It started great with being greeted by the staff as we walked through the door. Atmosphere was great once again; Your server, asked for our drink order and we kindly asked her what are the drink specials today? She stated she was new and had to ask a different server. A second server approached and stated that we only have drink specials on Tuesday. I stated well the young lady Alecia "a previous sever on a past Friday March 22 told me about DAILY Happy Hour 5p-7p; BTW, Alecia was AMAZING! The server then stated unfortunately that information was wrong. Then we said okay no problem, do you have any specials today? she did not know of any and had to ask a manager. I already saw food specials on their website; the server returned from speaking with a female manager and said the only specials for the day is with the hibachi, no drink specials. We then stated okay well do you mind sending the manager over because we have been getting so many conflicting answers. Next a male "manager" stepped over to our table, sucking his teeth and stated I heard y'all wanted to see me while turning his ball cap around; First off, that's not how I would expect a manager to approach a situation but that's my opinion. We asked the manager what are the specials for today and when is happy hour, because we purchased half price drinks on Friday; and were told about daily happy hour specials. He stated only food specials today. We stated okay, well that's unfortunate because the last server told us otherwise and also the owner on March 22 told us the same thing. He laughed and stated well let me call the owner "which is my brother" so we can hear for ourselves. Male Owner is put on speaker phone to "clear" everything up for us, which did not help or clear anything up. He also did not disclose his name nor appear apologetic; After hanging up with the owner we decided to leave and go to a well known hibachi restaurant where specials are offered and we feel appreciated. We would have loved to support Yakitori even after having the wrong information given about the drinks but felt that we were not being appreciated or heard. A simple apology could have cleared everything up but that was not given not ONE time which is unfortunate. Blessings to your business wish this experience had gone better. read more
