    Make Build Your Own Bowl

Perfection. Just about every time. This is what I want in a restaurant these days when service is often so hit and miss. The portion is great for the cost along with the flavor.

I came to Yafo for the first time this week & it was amazing! The employee was so helpful & walked me through all the options! Very tasty & healthy!

Upon leaving the hospital we happened upon YAFO. I'm so glad we did. I only wish they were closer to my house! We were greeted by the friendly cashier as we entered. We got a bowl to-go. They made it easy. They gave recommendations. I was amazed that I was able to get 8 toppings on my bowl. The place was clean. They have a 97.5 sanitation grade posted. The place looks clean, smells good? And it's well lit. The food was really good. The ingredients were fresh. The amount of food in that bowl was insane. I had lunch the next day from the leftovers. I want to go back!

This food was really tasty! Think cava but different topping options. There were so many good options for my main topping I had such a hard time deciding what to get. There were also so many sauce options so my bowl was not dry and full of flavor. The staff was helpful and even offered samples of toppings to ensure I would like it on my bowl. The only thing not giving this place 5 stars is the inside. It is definitely due for some renovations and updating in my opinion. It kind of reminded me of a Panera on the inside.

This is a chain Mediterranean quick bite place. You can get some healthier food and a pita or a bowl that doesn't take long to make the staff are nice. The place is clean. There's plenty of parking in the shaded parking lot with Harris Teeter. The prices are a little bit steeper, especially if you start adding on items. Hope you enjoy..

We recently discovered Yafo Kitchen and have fallen in LOVE. This is elevated cuisine that takes a Cava or Chipotle a farrrr step forward. The food tastes pretty healthy and just flavorful. In the couple times I've gone, I've had bowls, kebabs, mac and cheese and more! There hasn't been a thing that I've gotten that I haven't absolutely loved. The service is great, they are patient with a newcomer and gave me plenty of recommendations that I took and didn't regret. We've gone with friends and enjoyed dining in and the atmosphere that they have in their spot. Would definitely recommend if you like Mediterranean or Middle Eastern food, to give YAFO a try!

Yafo could be described as the local Charlotte version of Cavu. That would be underselling it to be sure, but both are fast casual Mediterranean restaurants that allow you to build your own bowls or pitas. Yafo definitely has some menu items that make it unique however like their Israeli hot chicken sandwich, or my personal favorite their Greek yogurt Mac and cheese. They have a couple of locations around the Charlotte area, my personal favorite being this location in Dilworth here. They also belong the FS Food Group owned by chef Frank Scibelli who has an excellent track record, so you know they are going to be bringing fresh ingredients and quality food. The one complaint I do have is that a couple times my girlfriend and I have ordered door dash delivery and found that menu items have been excluded, or instructions to remove certain ingredients ignored. This can be frustrating. Overall I really enjoy this restaurant concept though and find it to be a very good lunch option near my office.

Shared on Google & thought to share on here also. Visited this location today and enjoyed a delicious chicken with 2 sides. Very generous food portions. I also love their made in house drink options. Pleasant atmosphere and staff. Lots of parking. I'm glad a friend introduced me to Yafo Kitchen. I went here on a Monday and found myself right back the next day lol! The first time I went I got the byob w/salmon it was really good everything tasted super fresh and it was so filling. Service was great I let them know it was my first time and they were pleasant and helpful. I ate there that day on the patio and the scene was nice and chill. The next day I got a hot plate to go. I got the 1/2 rotisserie chicken w/greek mac n cheese and brussel sprouts! First off the brussel sprouts are AMAZING! Idk how they do it but it's a perfect char with a great sweetness to it I loved it! I will definitely be a regular here. Sidebar I would recommend this location over the plaza midwood one. I tried to go there my second time around and found myself fighting for parking for at least 15minutes pmo so bad that I just bit the 15 minute drive to go back to this location!

My new favorite fast casual restaurant! What's nice is you can order meals other than a bowl. Let's be real, it's 2024 and there's a bit of bowl fatigue with all the Chipotle mimics that have blown up in the last 10 years. I sampled a bit of everything and it was all delish. My favorite things were the chicken schnitzel with the cauliflower and tahini side, and the harissa dressing on my salad. Also, you can get grape leaves which I love! I will be back more than I'd like to admit.

Greetings to those who are reading this! Wanted to take a minute to express my thoughts about my visit to the Yafo/Dilworth - East Boulevard location. My wife prefers this location for the kind and helpful staff that are working at this spot. SouthPark team was a bit unfriendly to her - Attitude! - She's sensitive - so what can I say. We live in the City Park section of Charlotte - It is truly a food desert. Anyways - 2 Thumbs Up - This is truly the spot if you want to get your "Fix" of Israeli/Mediterranean food. The Schnitzel is crispy and delicious; - Just like you would find if you were visiting Tel Aviv. My wife typically picks up from this location several times per week; - We have "Incorporated" Yafo into our "Dinner Rotation" - We are two working professional and just don't have the time to cook. I personally am well versed in Israeli Food ;-) "Shalom Habibi" - Just tried the Falafel yesterday and was truly amazed at how delicious it was. Thank G-d for Angel Pita! - Looking forward to trying the Steak/Beef; - Just haven't gotten around to it. I understand that they have a Brunch and serve the famous Israel Brunch - Shakshoukah - However, I can't confirm this and it seems that different options are available at different locations. Anyways, the Dilworth location can get busy; - This is great - as it seems that food is moving quick and things are definitely fresh and well prepared. Israeli's are loud people and that seems to be the case @ Yafo; - Staff are alive and active - Shouting out orders. This may be the South; - but - you are definitely stepping into Israel when you walk into Yafo - So, don't be afraid to assert yourself. Where am I going with all of this? The food is fresh, authentic and delicious. I tip my hat to Shai Fargian - Who is without question a Culinary Genius; - Shai, "Habibi" - you have really duplicated the experience. Well done! Would avoid ordering from Yafo, via Doordash or any of those "Lazy" Services - Best, to come in and experience it. I believe my wife was introduced to Yafo from their generous sponsorship of an event in the Charlotte schools. Anyways - A+ - OMG, how could I forget. I want to send a special "Shout Out" to the Dilworth Team - Especially, "Athena" & "Vanessa" - Thank you for being so kind, accommodating and patient with me this week. I've been a bit slow, being that I was not expecting this "Greatness" that I walked into, while recovering from Hand/Elbow Surgery! Toda Raba! - - Thank you Yafo for going out of your way to respect my observance of Kosher.

I like the food here and love how they have healthy options. The staff are friendly fly and courteous. My only concern is that since the summer is here and people begin to sit at the outdoor seating that the servers will do a better job at cleaning outdoor tables. As we ate lunch today there was a table in the far corner that appeared to not have been cleaned in a very long time. Our table had hair on it and it was a windy day. For hair to have been stuck to the table, it hadn't been cleaned. The floors had leaves and debris. Please keep the patio clean where customers will come to sit. It's a nice area in Dilworth, please keep it nice for the customers. Thank you

No it's not fully halal. I think it's because it's a chain restaurant. But the food is made with quality ingredients.

AVOID THIS LOCATION!…read more My family that resides in Clt started coming to this location because of the proximity to their house, but after this past visit on June 20th, none of us will ever be back again after the absolute awful service! And, as anyone knows, you can have amazing food, but if the people and service are terrible that can ruin any dining experience! We were sat in an almost empty restaurant just after 8pm; the waiter came to take our order and was very engaging initially. We were a party of 6, so we were going to order 4 diff apps prior to the mixed grill which is what we always get. We ordered the hummus, falafel (2 orders because only 6 come per order), baba ganoush, and beef sambousa. We were told they were "out" of the baba ganoush & sambousas cuz they would have to make them and it would take like an hr...this sounded odd cuz umm, don't you make all your food to order?? This immediately put both my stepmom (who is Moroccan) and myself off and we were actually going to leave, but we were introducing my brother's GF to this ethnic food style & him + my dad convinced us to stay, so we just added salad and lentil bean soups). We ordered drinks (the GF & I were the only ones that didn't order sodas; she ordered a pot of Karak tea for her + I to share & I ordered a sparkling water). After 10mins no drinks in sight we were like "ummm?" then at just over 15mins they brought us the apps but no drinks?!? The drinks came separately a few mins later...all except the tea. For $3 on the menu I expected a bottled sparkling water, instead I got flat water from the soda fountain. I told the waiter this and he said he'd try again and if it wasn't "sparkling" then what did I want to drink instead...I said just a filtered water w/lemon. We were missing an order of falafel (were told they only had the one order and would have to wait for the 2nd, so we just canceled it; again whyTF did they not have anything on the menu at 8pm on a Sat!?) and they only brought one basket of pita for the hummus; we asked for a 2nd basket. The lentil soup (my stepmom makes better at home) + salads were mid at best. 20mins later they bring the main course, but we still had not gotten the pot of tea we ordered nor did the guy ever come back w/my "sparkling" or plain water...we'd had enough of this horrible service & I went in search of someone (the place again was empty & I could not find our waiter or anyone anywhere). Finally I see this lady who had attitude (I have a sneaking suspicion she pretended not to understand english when convenient) when I asked WTAF was up w/my water & the tea! Again, another 10mins w/neither showing up at the table...we were also still waiting for the 2nd basket of pita, but it was moot as we'd already begun to eat the main dish...my stepmom went to the lady & spoke to her in arabic and was like "where is her water and where is her tea!?" the lady said she was sorry she didn't know we didn't get them (BS btw) that's when my stepmom asked to speak to the mgr. We also wanted to order Knfa for dessert, so my stepmom told the lady we were ordering 3 now since they were taking forever to get anything to us, and if they didn't bring them when we were done eating, we would not be paying for them. THAT part seemed to get through at least! Halfway (almost an hr at this point) through the meal they finally come w/my water and the pot of Karak tea. At this point we hadn't seen the male waiter who took our order initially; he shows up & is acting huffy (the audacity tbh!) & tries telling me he never said he'd bring a 2nd sparkling or reg water & when both me and my stepmom (cuz she was sitting next to me & heard the exchange called him out) he got all defensive & said "well I guess I misunderstood" so then we are like "why an hr for the tea?" "Wellll, that's how long it takes to make!" I called BS & told him if that was the case he should have told us that expectation when we initially ordered! He then goes "Well I had to go to storage to find it cuz we were out!" K, howTF is that OUR problem!? Just tell us that so we know what to expect!? No apology was made and we were not credited for the tea nor the $3 sparkling water which I never received. Also, received the Knfa (shockingly, right after the meal) but it was served w/o the pistachios it was supposed to come with. When asked for them, we were told they were "out"...because of course they were! Absolutely HORRIBLE staff and service here; the food was good tho, but when u have an experience like that it still leaves a bad taste!

Authentic flavor, great service, and a wine list that actually knows its grapes--definitely a 5-star gem in the Queen City!

It is centrally located with other business around within walking distance. There are paid and affordable street parking spots nearby.  The menu offers a good variety of options. In addition to the regular menu, they offer a lunch menu with two combo options. That is exactly what I went for today. I got the Spicy Dip & Pita and the Chicken Pita. I also got an Arold Palmer to drink. Everything was delicious! I mean, it was really delicious.    The price was pretty affordable, the service was professional and friendly, all common areas, including the restrooms, were clean. Overall, 100% recommended and can't wait to come back!

Monday night, half price wine by the glass or bottle, all of them on the list! Love when they do that without limitations. So we went with a glass of champagne! Because why not when it's half price! Service was excellent , and the food just awesome . So fresh and delicious. The menu here is so nice and varied with so many options. We started with the prosciutto carpaccio, paper thin prosciutto with olive oil, and fresh Parmesan and fresh greens, white balsamic and hazelnut. This was amazing, just yummy. The roasted mushrooms, come on a sliced yogurt, with verde hummus, and sumac onions. Again so flavorful and so many different things going on in this dish. Highly recommend this. The short rib bolognese. A fabulous small plate, but plenty for two . This sauce was so good with the fresh grilled bread they serve. The pasta was perfectly cooked, spinach flavored. Truffle ricotta, and crispy prosciutto on top, nice pieces of short rib too. This was an excellent dish. We were truly full so had to pass on dessert but we did get a after dinner espresso martini, called the Salud! A Spanish table toast, peppermint infused tequila, espresso, licor 43, coffee liquor and creme de cacao. Served frozen, this tasted like an Andes mint. Perfect after dinner drink. I hope this stays on the menu! So good. I'm so glad this place is still going strong and busy on a Monday night! I love everything about Chapter 6, such a great spot.

It can be hard to find if you are coming in from the main street as it is located inside a building that has other restaurants and stores inside. But it is rather spacious inside with lovely minimalistic and neutral vibes. The service was pretty great as we were given recommendations and our water was continuously refilled. My friends and I got the Crab Brik, Wagyu Burger, Shakshuka, and Avocado Toast. The Crab Brik came in little triangular wontons that were fried to perfection. I think real crab meat was used which is always nice. There was some aioli on the plate, but certainly not enough to dip with meal in. The Avocado Toast was recommended by our server and it was a top tier choice! It had chili dukka on it so everything from the eggs, sourdough bread, and avocados tasted very seasoned, despite the dish sounding a bit plain. They do not skimp out on the avocado here. My friend said the Wagyu Burger tasted good and I tried the Shakshuka (for the first time in my life) which tasted very tomato-y but still yummy with the bread! I think this is a cute place, especially for brunch. I would rate this place 4.5/5 stars if I could. I want to come back and try their dinner menu which has more food options.
