The installation crew of Jose and Marty were excellent. A great installation with respect for the look and performance of the final AC system. Not an easy installation based upon the original furnace and supply vents installation. Added a return. They cleaned up after each day and kept good watch over the dog so he didn't get out the front door. The wall patching completed the next day and looks great. Things always happen when you go on vacation, and our AC, 17 years old, died just before our last trip. Since we had a house sitter for our three dogs and it was during a recent heat wave, we needed fast action. Our friend John Moses linked us with Yaeger, that came right out and installed a window-based AC unit that kept the house livable until the new system was installed. The house was remeasured, and it was determined the 5-ton Amana unit would do the job along with an all-new heater, registers, vents,  Wi-Fi thermostats, and filters throughout the house. Our ac went out during hottest part of summer. We called Yaeger ac and heating and spoke with a very nice lady. She had John Moses call me within 15 minutes. John came right over and looked at ac unit. It was time to replace it. He had another person come over and they spent over an hour taking measurements. He presented us with a proposal later that day. We are building a home nearby and renting another home that has been serviced by this company. When I noticed the unit making an odd noise we called for service. I have NEVER been met by such a rude and unhappy person as Angela. We agreed on the next day at 11 am. I look down to my phone at 9:45 with texts and phone calls, when I call back I am questioned where am I? Well, I'm not home our appointment was for 11. The attitude is insane, how dare I not be home right? Lol. So since they changed our appointment time, I had to give new times. I gave 2-3 hour windows every single day until one was agreed upon on Angela's end. While the conversation could have ended there with her apologizing she had to shift todays schedule and thank you customer for accommodating another day, I was told "I have never met someone that didn't fit us in when it worked for us". WOW! Angela, maybe it's too far back you don't remember having young kids and their schedules, or the fact that I WORK and my schedule is planned out months in advance, but I feel giving 5 back to back days with 2-3 hour windows is pretty impressive for anyone with a normal life. The bottom line is, Angela seems to be very unhappy, very unpleasant, and I am shocked to have ever been spoken to like this by another adult and especially a business! No adult should have to feel like they need to defend their schedule, and mine was pretty wide open. I hope Angela can give a much needed apology, it's a shame because building a new home in Villa Park, I can guarantee you she will never have my service and with the amount of people I know in this town I'll make sure to put my humble opinion out there. Be nice Angela, it's not worth it. But if I saved one person having to deal with a grump like you, it was WELL worth my valuable time. Don't bother calling this company. They have the worst customer service. First, they never responded to my online request. Then when I called them they had their tech call me. I thought we were set to have them come out the next day but I get a call saying they would come the following day but only have a time in the evening that I had a conflict with. She told me I could leave even if the techs weren't done (in my house), leaving them alone. Most companies won't even come unless someone is there to supervise them. In March 2022 and June 2023e, we purchased two Combo heating and air conditioning (HAVC in a single contained unit) for our home built in the '60s. We were pleased and extremely satisfied with the initial 2 installs. Their attention to detail was impressive to observe. In 2024, due to the rain, an unusual venting issue occurred. Older A/C - was told we needed a new 5 ton A/C by another company sent by Lowes. However, I had Jaim from Yaeger Services come out today and he checked the system, freon level, washed the condenser coil, checked run capacitor, start capacitor, booster, fan motor, fan blades, tested the system, checked amp draw and told us it should be good for several more years. I had my HVAC system installed by Yaeger Services right before the pandemic struck and was pleased with it's performance during the time I was stuck at home. It was much quieter than the old system because they installed a larger intake duct, and was also more efficient in it's operation. So things were great until my AC decided to quit cooling the air on the hottest day of the year, heading into the hottest week of the year. Dismayed at the thought of broiling for the next week, I called Yaeger to see when they could come out, and was fully expecting to have to wait a few days because everyone would be looking for AC service as the heat set in. Much to my delight, they were able to fit me in late on the same day. The problem turned out to be a failed capacitor that was needed to start the compressor. It turned out to be a warranty repair (Yay!) and within about half an hour, my unit was back online and was busy dropping the house from the 86 degrees that it had risen to! When I originally chose Yeager for my HVAC needs, I noticed that many many reviews said the same thing; that the quality of the installation was at least as important (or even more important) than the equipment that was used. i was impressed with the care and attention to detail that Yaeger exhibited when they installed my equipment, and am now even more pleased to find that, should a problem arise, they will stand by their work and warranty and take care of it immediately! Our AC fan died last night with no warning. Called Yeager this morning, based purely on a Yelp search, just after they opened and Angela gave us an appointment for tomorrow but said she would keep us on standby in case they had anything free up on today's schedule. She texted and called a couple hours later to tell us she could get a tech out today! The tech, James, showed up a little earlier than the promised window and got straight to work. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it, charged us a total of $169 for the entire job including 30 minutes labor (even though he was at our house at least 45 min), and the needed capacitor, and never tried to sell us a single additional thing! He gave the whole AC unit an inspection and sent us a detailed invoice via email before he left. It was the nicest and smoothest and least expensive experience I could have imagined. I will absolutely use Yeager again for HVAC issues large or small. read more

Our heater stopped working and I called a HVAC company we previously used and I wasn't comfortable with their estimate. I called another company I found on Yelp with a good rating. They gave an estimate that half of the former company would do the same service. That company came twice. The first time the service person was in the attic for a couple of hours, his efforts did not fix the problem - nor did he clean up after himself. My family and I went out for lunch, and when we returned, we smelled gas in the house. I called the service person, who said he was with his daughter and could come back but could walk me through turning off the gas. I called the company, and they sent another service person who said I needed a part - after an hour or so in the attic. Long story short, that person came around (after I had called the company a few times to get an update), and the part he used did not fix the problem. That was three weeks ago - they ghosted me! I have left numerous messages ... crickets. Yaeger Services, on the other hand, sent a technician promptly. They worked on the issue, spoke with the manufacturer, got the part, and fixed our heater. Their employees were focused, knowledgeable, and clean. They identified and fixed the problem in two visits - at a reasonable cost. The total was less than the initial estimate I received from the company we used in the past. I highly recommend this company. Very professional and thoughtful throughout our situation! read more

No HVAC contractor in the midst of the busy summer season wants to get bogged down in a complicated new installation project involving all the city permits, drawings, asbestos abatement, drywall work, HOA approvals etcetera. Exception: Yaeger Services. From our first meeting John Moses showed interest, demonstrated knowledge and gained my confidence. John is a real go-getter and got the ball rolling immediately. We had a plan in front of the city building department in record time. Mine is a big 2-phase project that needed to be coordinated with an engineering firm, multiple contractors and inspectors. The combination of John Moses and the entire crew led by Herb was what my project needed in order to succeed.
