I am continuing to give this company a 5 star review based on their integrity. I had a leak that ruined the ceilings drywall. The slope for proper drainage on the furnace in the attic was not done correctly. A common problem in my opinion. In fact, this very same thing was the problem with my old AC causing water damage. I am having a different company adjust coil and plenium to allow for proper drainage and slope adding a secondary pan. Air Concepts offered to come out and fix these problems years after the original install of the new AC. Obviously they stand behind their product which you won't find with all AC companies. read more

I have a service contract with Air Concepts and with it comes 2 free maintenance calls. My winter call wasn't that long ago, so I waited a bit for my spring/summer appointment. I just called to make an appt and was told that even though I still had an active service plan, I "missed the window" for my spring/summer appointment. That they only do them from April 15 - June 15. I've never heard this before and I know I've gotten appointments outside of that timeframe. They then tried to charge me an additional $145 to have a maintenance appointment, when I complained he said they could do it for $45 since I had an active contract. I said no, I am not gonna pay twice for something. I'm not going to renew my contract and will find someone else to service my HVAC. And I'll clean the filter myself this summer. read more

I had concerns about an occasional noise my A/C would make. Frank sent Ritz over to evaluate. Ritz was very knowledgeable and methodical as he evaluated each aspect of my A/C system & showed me readings & gages & stats as he went. The end results was good news, my system is operating within manufacturers recommendations and nothing is happening to prematurely age my unit. Sometimes it's hard to know who to trust. Writing to thank AC for the Heat Pump project they did at our home. We decided to make use of our solar panels and went for an electric heat pump to heat and cool our home. We ended up getting rid of our dead furnace and old air conditioner. So far we have used the heater and it's great. My husband had previously zoned our 2 story home so they were able to continue with our zoned theme but updating for technology. They added additional grills to increase airflow. Can't wait to try the air conditioner out this summer. We had a team of 3 workers for 2 1/2 days. They showed up each day and cleaned up after themselves. I had a new furnace and air conditioner installed with this company and I am very unhappy with them. They installed an electrical pole right in front of my condo that they said they would come back and cover and they never did. I would not have agreed to having a pole right in front of my condo. They even damaged the brick. I know now that they should have done it another way. unfortunately, I was in the house with a broken leg and arm which had just happened and was traumatic for me. They should have consulted me first. They knew I couldn't hobble outside. When the weather changed, and I needed heat, I was not getting any heat downstairs. They told me the furnace wasn't strong enough to support a two story home. They sold that furnace to me. They talked me into upgrading for $400 more. I wasn't home when they did the installation. I work so I left the key in the lock box. They never even called to let me know that they damaged my furnace cabinet in the hallway. The furnace was too big for that cabinet but they forced it in, damaging the whole side and top of my cabinet. They said they would send someone out to repair my cabinet and it was back and forth with phone calls. They never did. I would never recommend this company. They were paid in full so that is all they care about. read more

I have used this company in the past for preventative maintenance over the years at my home. I was happy with the work, and the price was fair. So I naturally called them when we had a real issue with an older furnace at our rental property. Yes, the unit is 25 years old. I probably should replace it, but financially we could not afford it now. I was told the problem was a faulty main gas valve. I was quoted $2250 for replacement. I checked for the part on Grainger and other sources and while it is considered a specialty valve, they were at most a $500 part. So essentially $1750 for labor! Are you kidding me!? I will never use Air Concepts again. They were ridiculously overpriced and upon meeting the owner, she momentarily agreed the cost for the repair was high, but seemed more interested in selling me a new unit for over $9300. This was just a new furnace (the house has no A/C). I called someone else, who replaced the gas valve for $850 parts & labor. When I asked for a rough cost on a whole new system, he told me he could install a complete system WITH A/C for less than what Air Concepts was quoting. Wow. I would avoid Air Concepts. read more

Have continued to use them for check-up maintenance on the heating and cooling system. In addition recommended and used for new install at my parents home as well. Have worked with Mark mostly but all the technicians that have come to my home over the years have been knowledgeable, respectful of our home, honest and capable. It's mechanics, electronics, logistics so different homes, factors and situations. Kelly the owner has shown that she loves her craft and is truly vested in the company and what she does. Our service technician Zach was great!!! We moved in last year so our air wasn't really getting cool and it didn't seem to have air coming out as well as it should so we thought it may need maintenance. He came out explained what was going on. Showed us our very very disgusting filthy filter and washed it down. Our unit was frozen so basically it needs to defrost. Looked at our unit told us if it was reliable(which it was not they only made them for 3 years so that told us a lot). He advised we needed lots of towels around our unit as they'll be a lot of water as the ice will melt. He gave us a couple of options. We decided to go with the more economical choice and pray for the best and said he would be back tomorrow to finish up it would be about $500 and would fit us in. Unfortunately, we can't use the air conditioner today. Service call was $87.50 reasonable. He had a great attitude, very professional, was knowledgeable. Overall, we would recommend to everyone. I had an abysmal experience when hiring Air Concepts to replace our HVAC system. For starters, they either missed or changed appointments at the last minute several times, causing our renter to miss a lot of work time. Then a technician fell through the ceiling while on the job. Fortunately he wasn't hurt, but they didn't bother to even tell me that an accident had occurred. They left the ceiling with a huge hole in it for a full six weeks in the middle of winter and then left the drywall repair unpainted for four months after that. I had to keep asking for the job to be completed, which was very time consuming . When I asked for our renter to be compensated for his lost time at work, the fact that he was terribly inconvenienced by the job taking six months to be fully completed, and the lost heat from having a gaping hole in the ceiling for six weeks, I received no response for two months. When I finally did hear back, the owner of the company didn't acknowledge any wrongdoing and refused to compensate our renter. I'd avoid Air Concepts at all costs! I don't believe I've ever dealt with such an unprofessional company that charged top dollar for a huge headache! read more

From the estimation, installation, and maintenance of our new HVAC system in our home 5+ years ago to the on time, usually early, arrival of their technicians when we have the occasional issue. Noticed over the weekend that our furnace wasn't putting out heat. Had a long day at work Monday and called about 3pm to schedule service at our home. Customer service found an opening the next day from 11-3 so we booked it. About 7:45am the next day I get a call from technician Zach that he had a cancellation if we'd like him to come earlier. Told him yes and he was there in less than 45 minutes, fixed the minor issue as well as a secondary issue my wife noticed, and was on his way. Every single person in this company from Kelly on down has been nothing but helpful with the greatest attitude every time we deal with them. They have worked in our home and our rental properties with professionalism and class. We've also referred friends to them who have had similar success stories. Mark and his helper came out today to do the quarterly service call on our 3 HVAC systems. They swapped out the dirty filters, and cleaned the re-usable filters on the mini-split. The scheduling process is simple and service technicians are fabulous!! I checked around for prices and Air Concepts has great value too!!! Technician Riz was here and he provided 5-Star Service. He explained the best way to use my air conditioner so it performs well AND conserves energy! He also helped me set up the thermostat and the app on my phone to control the AC even if I'm away from home. You are perfectly entitled to believe what he told you. I received service 2 days after my call. The woman who took my call was unbelievably lovely, kind and thoughtful. She gave wonderful customer service on the phone. Clearly I should have been smart enough to ask your hourly rate, or maybe told ahead of time what it would be so I could shop around. My only conversation with Mark was asking the price of the item under warranty repeatedly because he did not want to answer that question, and him telling me the payment amount and my shock at the number for something that literally took him 5 minutes as I watched him work. He never told me the hourly rate but just gave me a dollar amount to pay for labor. I never said he was rude. I do not believe he would charge that amount to a man for 5 minutes of labor. Gaslighting customers does not make your company look better. Perhaps in the future when booking appointments for service your hourly rate should be discussed in advance. I learned a valuable lesson myself to ask that question. If he had been working at least 30 minutes, I would have had no issues paying that amount.
