Churros are delicious and fresh. I love how I can eat them nice and warm. My favorite filling is cream cheese and strawberry! The staff was very nice and quick. Street parking is available. It's a small place so I usually order and leave right away. I had a dozen churros for $12. I will definitely return. read more

Xurro - Dozen. $12.00 - Desserts Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I was having a flat tire repaired around the corner, so stopped in here to kill some time and wait. MmMmM churros! There are flavor injectors up front that can fill or top your churros with several flavors - vanilla, chocolate, caramel, strawberry, and a daily rotating mystery flavor: guava, pineapple, peanut butter, etc. Churros are just over a buck for the plain ones, but you can also get a Fiesta Churro with whipped cream and sprinkles (as R. Kelly would say, "fiesta, fiesta"), a churro sundae with ice cream, churritos (mini churros), or a funnel cake or a chocolate covered frozen banana if churros aren't for you. They also have a variety of drinks: lemonade, coffee, lattes, shakes, smoothies, abuelita, and atole. They will also sell you abuelita by the gallon, if you happen to need that much, a little funny to see that on the menu! I ordered the churritos (8 mini churros, just over $2) drizzled with strawberry topping, and they were fried fresh and hot with plenty of ooey gooey sauce that stained my fingers red. I also had a pecan atole; delicious, but not appropriate for the warm weather nor very thirst-quenching after churros, live and learn! I prefer this shop to Don Churro; there's just more to offer here, though the Don is also good if you're up that way. read more

$12 dollars for $12 churros. Take my money!!! This place makes you regret ever spending money on churros anywhere else cause they're incredibly fresh and really large! I love that it's family run. You can even see them making and filling the churros. Oh, and all the prices listed already have tax included so you don't feel so bad when you go to pay for a dozen churros for yourself. read more

Definitely a keeper would recommend to anyone visiting Chicago who doesn't have a xurro in their state .. will come back the next time I visit read more

The line was so fast, and the churros were delicious. The hot chocolate was perfect on a chilly summer evening, sweet with a touch of extra flavor coming from spices. I got plain a plain churro and my fiancé got a churro sundae and when we took our first bites there was awe and silence. Both churros were doughy yet airy with the perfect amount of crisp, cinnamon, and sugar. I now request churros from here every other weekend and it's a Sunday activity we both look forward to :) read more

Second time here I WISH this place was closer! They've got divine churros so crispy and delicious fillings! The best part is the funnel cake with ice cream. I got 5 churros for $7 and some change, I wish the lady had told me if I paid $3 more I could get a WHOLE DOZEN what a bummer! This inside is really small so it's good to take your food to go or sit outside they've got a few tables good to hang out with friends. read more

Loved their churros! Staff is always friendly and all smiles. Place is a little small and only has 2 or 3 table to sit on.

Fresh churros friendly service bought 3 churros a classic with no filling and two with vanilla filling

I stumbled upon this place by accident, and I couldn't be happier for it. $1 churros and soft as can be! The usual flavors are here along with daily flavors that they alternate. I had the vanilla and strawberry, and I can still remember the taste even after all these years. The vanilla was creamy, but had a pudding-ish creaminess to it. The strawberry was more of a jam/jelly, but was sweet and complimented the churro's sugary, soft crispy dough. If you're in Pilsen, you'll want to swing by this shop. It's small, but grab your churros (yes buy multiple!) to go and walk around Pilsen during a nice summer day in Chicago. read more

The churros are so yummy, i prefer plain so it didn't bother me so much that the filling doesn't seem to go through the whole thing

A great place to enjoy a churro for dessert. Our family enjoy a least something different from the menu. I had a plain churro. My boys had the funnel cake with ice cream. Wow, it was yummy! My wife had the churritos! Enjoy! #SeñorFood read more

First time visiting here today! I've wanted to try this place before and finally got the chance. The actual place was very small inside, the pictures made it look bigger. The staff was friendly and the desserts were awesome!! Got two Churros for two dollars. Can't beat that! You have to have a serious sweet tooth though, these things aren't messing around. read more

Churros were amazing and warm! Took everything to go since their location was quite small. Location was also quite dirty inside and outdated- but everything was still great. The churro ice cream sandwich was my favorite. read more

I haven't tried their specialty item so this review is based solely on their cafe de olla. It was pure rancid. The flavor of burnt cinnamon or star anise oversaturated the coffee. Just remove it from the menu and focus on what you're good at. read more

I had a LivingSocial deal to use up and went on the last day. I ordered like a dozen churros, churro fiesta and funnel cake to try. Churros were good, but definitely need to eat them fresh. I have to say that the ones at the Maxwell Street Market is better or maybe because I eat them fresh there. I got mostly chocolate, a few strawberries and 2 peanut butter to try (flavor of the day). Wish they were filled a bit better though on some of them. My BIL ate the churro fiesta, but it's basically a churro with whipped cream. By the time he ate it the whipped cream was all melted down. Funnel Cake - I did not eat this, but my sister didn't like it. read more

Every single time I come here the ladies take forever to give me my order. I love churros! Don't get me wrong but they're always chitchatting and it seems like they're not really doing their job. I've waited more than 15 minutes to get two churros.... my girlfriend used to work here - she said it never took that long. Highly disappointed. Speed it up ladies! read more

Zero stars if I could! I went to pick up an order of 100 mini churros for a birthday party and when I got home to pack them in bags, they were hard as a rock. I called the lady and she blamed me because I had said I would pick them up at 9am but I didn't get there until 10:30am. I told her that wouldn't have made a difference because I would've still packed them at 1pm later that same day. She claimed that they are made fresh daily, I said that was probably true, but then that she left them cooking for too long. She kept blaming me and telling me if the churros would've been hard, other customers would've complained because it was the same batch. I told her that I would make the 30 minute drive to prove to her how hard they were and she could taste one to which she said not to bother because it's not like she could give me a refund or make me another batch even if they were hard. How was it possible for them to be inedible within 3 hours?! She kept blaming me for not picking them up at 9am...I told her multiple times that this wasn't the first time that I've ordered mini churros for a birthday party where I pick them up in the morning and guests don't eat them until later (around 5pm) that same day. She finally said that the owner would give me a call because only the owner could give refunds. I saved the box of uneaten churros to prove that we didn't eat them and waited for the owner to call me. I called the store multiple times within the next 3 weeks and the owner was never there. Each time I explain why I was looking for the owner and they kept telling me that they would pass down the message. I never received a call, never ate the churros nor got a refund. Never ordering from there again. read more

Honestly, you will not find better churros for this price. They're pretty damn good. On top of that, every single drink I've tried here is delicious, my "go-to" being the Spicy Abuelita Hot Chocolate. I went two days ago and I witnessed someone being rude to one of the employees, but she continued to be polite. She later told me that it was always better to laugh it off. That's admirable. read more

Churros are great. Little bit of a wait sometimes but I gladly make the trek down to Pilsen and get churros. They're open until 10pm too.

I reviewed this place a few years back when it had a different name; glad the food didn't change! This place makes killer churros with more fillings than your traditional fare! I have brought people from out of town here & each one has made the long trek back for more on their own! It is also a great introduction to people who have never had a Mexican Antojito before! I highly recommend it! read more

Best damn churros you will ever have. They've got a cart of them making FRESH churros at Maxwell St. market. Go have one, it's a $1.25 and you'll never eat a churro from anywhere else again! This Pilsen gem serves up fresh, piping hot churros and churro desserts in a variety of flavors. The long line and throng of patrons patiently waiting was enough to leave me intrigued. We shared the 5 filled churros, $1.50 each (chocolate, strawberry, cream cheese, vanilla and the flavor of the day which was pineapple) and the Churro S'more($5). The cream cheese was the star with the chocolate filled churro not far beyond. The S'more was tasty but perhaps a bit too rich for me (not a spring chicken any more), so next time I will skip it. The missing star is due to the coffee for sale being instant Nestle- I wasn't expecting an espresso bar but Nestle Instant coffee just won't do, my churros deserve better! So happy my BFF introduced me to this place. read more

My Chicago friend told us about this spot in the Pilsen neighborood. If she didn't, we would have missed the best churros in town. This churro spot is tucked away in the inside corner of the train station on Wolcott, so unless you're looking for it, you'll miss it. We ordered a dozen, vanilla filled and a coffee for each of us. We figured that would be enough for four people. It was plenty! These churros are huge! At least they are to me because I was expecting them to be less than half the size they were! They were fresh and hot and oh, so good. The menu said our filling choices were vanilla, chocolate, or cream cheese, but it sounds like they occasionally have special flavors. Just to keep it easy, we ordered all vanilla, and they were superb. read more

I drove 20 miles to get to this location because I have been coming here for more than 5 years, worth the drive.
