This is a small churro and ice cream shop. I tried a sundae. I thought it was good but a bit overpriced. My daughter had the s'more churro sandwich which was big and she enjoyed. Staff were efficient.
I stopped here to grab coffee and churros before visiting a friend in the area and this is a hidden gem in the neighborhood! I was born and raised in Belmont-Cragin but I've never been to this spot until yesterday! We got an iced cafe de olla, a couple of churros and I got the mangonada refresher and I cannot say anything but good things about what we got, everything was delicious and fresh! I definitely recommend Xurro, the place was empty when I got there and they have plenty of space in their dining area, check them out you won't regret it. The two women at the cash register were sweet, professional and fun!
Solid Churro at Xurro's stand at the Tacos & Tamales festival. I got the vanilla filled one, but it seemed like only the first bite only had vanilla in it which was disappointing. Service was good at the stand.
It's a small yet mighty establishment that does an amazing job serving the community spectacular churros. I got the original churros but let's note how big they are for $1.50 per churro. They have to be like 1.5 feet long, the cinnamon sugar is jussssst enough for each bite and the filling is flavorable. I am thrilled this shop doesn't skimp on the filling, which separates them from their competitors. I highly recommend this shop and I will be a returning customer.
Wow!! Warm and delicious. Saw this place on Chicago's Best. It does not disappoint and all the reviews are right. It's a small place and not much room to stand and wait for your order. We happen to be in the area and decided to stop. Luckily for a Sunday afternoon it wasn't too crowded. Parked in front and went inside. The prices are very reasonable. I ordered 3 different flavors - strawberry, cream cheese and chocolate. The churros are warm and fresh. They are delicious. They are $1.50 each or $14.00 for a dozen. Will be back. Churros are sweet and tasty!
Super solid and delicious churros here for just $1.50 each! They have daily special fillings, and I got pineapple, which was the special for Sunday. The churros are warm, crispy, and chewy. There wasn't as much filling inside as expected, but it was still good and added a nice flavor and texture enhancement to the churro. I don't have churros often, but the available filling flavors seemed pretty unique to me. The store itself is located on a quiet street in Pilsen, and there's no indoor seating-- you wait in line to order and go elsewhere to eat. The line on a Sunday afternoon was moderately long, but it moved very fast and you get your churro within seconds after ordering. -- Price (relative to peers): 5/5 Food: 4.5/5 Ambience: N/A Service: N/A Overall Value: 5/5
Cream cheese filled churro? Yes please! I had never tried cream cheese inside of a churro and now I can't go back to life before. It is a complete flavor explosion! That first crunchy bite is what dreams are made of! My friends and I also ordered a churro ice cream sandwich. That was also great, but it melted so fast since the churro was warm. We liked both, but the cream cheese filled churro took the cake for me! I can't wait to get another one!
While I've never had a bad item at Xurro, I'm still begging the owners to spend more time investing in the decor of their locations. Literally all of them are very thrown together and unwelcoming, so I think they'd benefit from even just a LITTLE interior design. It's just cold and empty...anyways, the desserts never miss, regardless of the location. Love the funnel cakes and fresh churros. I go back time and time again just for the consistency in their quality.
Things worth going to Pielsen for: Carnitas Urapan(separate review) and Xurro. Can we start with café Horchata. Really do I need to say anything more that's Horchata latte for the Christ sake! Did I mention did the Crème filled churros are made fresh on the spot. Let's not forget the more than fair prices. Folks on my Sunday morning the better pleasures of life is defined at this moment in time. Sipping my Horchata latte at the Walgreens parking lot hoping not to be towed while enjoying my churro. LoDolce Vita.
Fresh. Amazing. Churros. Flavorful. Affordable. Defiantly worth driving to after dinner. I wish I could use more words to describe it but the churros speak for themselves. I'm still thinking about them.

COVID-19 / Quarantine Review: Came with my friend and his girlfriend (hi Shirly, if you're reading this)! We each got our own different coffee drinks! I got the Cafe de Olla with light sugar and creamer (did you know most creamers are actually non-dairy / lactose free) and it was super good! I'm not sure what exactly is in it, but some online reviews suggested it. The other drinks that were tried were the Cafe Mocha and the Cafe Horchata! We also split a churro sundae and the churro pieces came out piping hot and delicious. You can get chocolate, strawberry, or caramel as the topping and also whipped cream! They call out your number when your order is ready and they're currently cash-less. They also have online ordering with 10% off (see photos) but I think this location is still working through their online ordering system. Overall, would stop by for their churros / coffee again if I was around. You can also get bulk churros (e.g., 80 for $100) which I'll definitely consider doing for a pot luck party one day when COVID is over. read more

if u order online, there's a 10% off code that was posted on the front door of this place! my sweet tooth craving was fulfilled with the order of mini churritos with the strawberry sauce to dip them in! it's the perfect treat with how cold it was! this was another bookmarked location for my chicago trip, and i'm very happy that amidst the snow storm i still was able to try this place out!! read more
I've had churros from their truck a few times. I usually get it with chocolate filling. The chocolate filling is not a real chocolate sauce. It has a thin, plastic-y consistency.. if that makes any sense. We recently stopped by their permanent location for dessert one evening. We got a churro with chocolate filling and the churro fiesta. The churros we received were stale and hard. And I really don't like the chocolate substance they use. I usually love churros, but not these ones, unfortunately. read more

Extremely cheap mixed with what I assume is a some "tlc" are what made my experience here so good. I had a taste for something simple & sweet however my churro smores was better than expected. Twas a huge treat to say the least & there's things I'd love come & try in the summertime such as a funnel cake. There's plenty of free street parrying out front & the sizes of the things here are gargantuan. The taste of the churro was homemade & what I assume "authentic". The read more

These were the best tasting churros I've ever had! Everything was so fresh, warm, and flavorful. The classic churros with strawberry and vanilla were perfectly made, crunchy and sweet on the outside, soft and moist dough and filling on the inside. The absolute best and unique item was the s'mores churro sandwich though. The pancake like churro breading on the outside was perfectly soft and moist while the chocolate and marshmallow filling was absolutely divine. I loved the creativity of this dessert while the sweetness and flavors were heavenly. I highly recommend trying it!! read more

I'll be the first to admit I'm NOT a churro kinda girl BUT I let my friend talk me into giving them a try and they were DELICIOUS!! We tried the strawberry and it was yummy! We tried the cream cheese and it was my FAVE! And we tried Nutella, it was ok but to be honest it was probably delicious but I don't like Nutella they were warm with a crunchy crust and chewy center. They were the best and YES I've tried them before at other places but these were a reason for me to now like churros! And I will be back! read more

Hubby and I went to the Churro Factory for some "dessert," but it turned out to a full meal for us. Yes, that meal was comprised of four (4) 8.5 ft x 1 ft flavored churros and two (2) orders of iced horchatas for $8 and some change. That wasn't the most sensible choice that health-conscious Rosa J. has made, but it was really just a miscalculation. Their full-sized churros are large. No, Rosa J. wasn't that nerdy, and of course, she didn't carry a ruler with her. That measurement was a rough estimate. By the way, there are mini-sized churros available just in case your appetite can't handle those ninas malas. Other than the regular flavors (chocolate, vanilla, cream cheese, strawberry, and plain), there is a daily flavor depending on which day of the week. The special flavor of the day is listed on the wall, not on the menu. Hint, hint: peanut butter flavor is available on Wednesdays. Street parking isn't difficult in this part of Pilsen. Some patrons parked their vehicles on Wolcott, headed in, and ordered to-go. The forgetful Rosa J. almost failed to mention the funnel cakes. Funnel cakes for many of us mean "happiness," and "commencement of diets for the next three weeks." With that being said, I will probably get a funnel cake here next time and walk 11 miles to burn the calories off like I always do (remember she's the foodie on foot gal)! Their regular-sized churro, as of 03/26/2016, costs $1.14. The CTA Damen/Cermak Pink Line station is close by and the CTA #21 (Cermak) bus is accessible. read more
OMG, where has this been all my (Chicago) life?! This was the perfect way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo without ever needing to culturally appropriate a misunderstood part of Mexican history (educate yourself folks!) My friends and I came here after googling "churros" in the Pilsen area. We had just came out of a taqueria, so were looking for something sweet to cleanse the pallet. Luckily, this was only a mile away from our part of town, so we came... and it was fantastic. The churros are a home run here! Each is only a little over $1, and you get your choice of fillings. By far, the best one here was the Cream Cheese!! It blew us away. The churro itself was golden, crunchy, and sweet (but not too sweet). The cream cheese filling gave it a kick that sent my senses flying. YUM! Service here was friendly and quick. Plus, they accept card, even if you only order one churro! They've definitely received a facelift over the past few months. It's side now reads "xurro" but is still affectionately known as the Churro Factory. You MUST come here in Pilsen to try some of their amazing churros. No regrets! Parking is available on the street, or you can test your luck with Walgreens. Be sure to heed the warnings posted inside Churro Factory. read more
Found it through Yelp after eating dinner and wanted to try it out! I was really excited but I think it was alright. We got the funnel cake with ice cream and chocolate ice cream, it was nothing special. The funnel cake wasn't as tasty as the ones I had before. The churros were also ok, they kind of had a funny taste to it. I probably wouldn't come back. read more
Yummy yummy yummers. Need I say more. If your looking for a quick dessert fix, The Churro Factory is the place to be. You will walk in with a sweet tooth and walk out with your taste buds fulfilled. Make sure you get there when everything is fresh, hot and ready. No one likes stale or cold churro treats. I haven't tried there other snacks but I'm sure they are wonderful as well. I get a dozen of churros for a whomping $10. Variety pack is a must, which includes their flavors of the day. Eat Up! read more

I heard of this location from the ladies that do my nails. They said I needed to try this place before I left Chicago and they were right. Its a quaint location with not a lot of seating and I will parking is not the greatest. Be prepared to deal with a bunch of pot holes (last time I was here) and odd entrances. The prices are unbeatable. For a party of three we got three iced coffees and orders of churros for around $12. It's enough to satisfy any fried craving. If you are looking for the best deal I'd suggest to get the minis and split it with a friend. It's more than enough. read more

This was my first visit to any of the local four Churro Factories. Even though I live a bit closer to the Oak Lawn location I figured I'd try the Pilsen location just off 22nd street as my first exposure. The stairs up to the door are high and narrow. Someone with a cane or wheelchair would likely not be able to get inside. The inside is fairly clean but the tables and chairs were a bit messy and in disarray. The flavor pumps and counter were spotless. Service was friendly. I ordered chocolate, strawberry, and plain churros. When I arrived home I discovered that the plain churro I ordered was actually filled with peanut butter. Not what I ordered and it didn't taste good. The chocolate and strawberry churros were good and fresh. I did sample one of my chocolate churros on the way home and they tasted better while fresh out of the fryer. They were still quite tasty hours later. I do wish there was somewhere in the area where I could get Churros y Chocolate like I had in Madrid, Spain. Fresh deep fried donuts (more doughy than American churros) with thick almost pudding-like hot chocolate to dip them in. Truly like heaven. read more

I really miss the churros that I had in Cabo San Lucas last year (shout out churro cart man next to the cheap taco stand!) and I've been want to relive that churro life ever since. Churro Factory came exquisitely close. It's a small shop in Pilsen with a few tables, but with a great menu. Churros, funnel cake, ice cream, coffee. What else could you want? I got churros with vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry fillings. All were tasty, but chocolate and strawberry were no favorites. I think I've found another go-to dessert place in the area. I feel too guilty having a whole funnel cake with ice cream by myself, so I'm definitely coming back and I'm bring friends. read more
