The place is pretty nice, to me it looks pretty clean, nothing to complain about there. The staff was pretty helpful and nice. We went on a Saturday and it wasn't to packed around 1pm, although once 2 rolled around a couple birthday parties must have been scheduled so the place fill with little kids. As for any advice i can offer, if you have feet larger then 12 renting shoes will be a problem. I needed 13's and had to squeeze into a 12 if i wanted to use climbing shoes. So either bring your own or use sneakers.

There are private and group lessons available as well as event rooms for special occasions or gatherings. Every few months they change up their climbing routes, which is nice. On top of that, they have great deals from Monday to Wednesday. Recently, they've opened a cafe serving coffee and food. There is a workout section if you want to warm up or if you're not in the mood to climb. We happened to visit 8/17/24 with some family and unbeknownst to us, it was their 19th anniversary and they've been open since 1995! As part of the celebration, they hosted raffles, offered great deals, huge discounts on merch, and had food available for everyone! It was definitely an unexpected but nice surprise! The fam was looking to take advantage of this beautiful fall weather that we have been having. I…read morerecalled doing this hike a number of years ago and enjoyed it, so decided to give it another try. The parking lot was not the biggest, but there seemed to be many spots on the street. Fortunately we were able to find a spot in the lot though. It is dog friendly, so we brought our little guy too. Since the my younger son is only 7 we decided to do the hike (blue trail) to Tripod rock and back, which is about 3 miles. It does have some incline, but didn't receive any complaints about this from the fam. Also there are a bunch of stones on the hiking path, so be careful not to trip. The trail is marked well (apart from one point towards the tripod rock where it splits) so we were able to get to our destination fairly easily. It wasn't too crowded, which was nice.

The routes get changed every semester or so for both bouldering and top rope climbing, and there are two auto-belays if you go there and don't have anyone to help belay you. (The people who go are also super nice--I've had people offer to belay me whenever I go alone!) They offer belay classes here as well--I think it's around $30, and once you're certified (they test you 3 times before letting you do your thing), you can come whenever you want! If you don't plan on getting belay-certified, you can still boulder whenever you want! :] For guests, it's just $5 for admission, which is about 1/4 the price of any day admission to the nearby climbing gyms. Harness rental is always free and shoe rental is $1 each time (free for your first time there though!)
