He spends a lot of time drinking with the regular customers instead of focusing on his job. Tonight, I came in after a long day at work. Most of the people there know me, and I'm a regular customer myself. I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea and shared it with Earl, a regular customer and a good friend of mine. About ten to fifteen minutes later, I ordered a gin and tonic. Kyle made it, and it was okay, nothing special. While I was sitting there enjoying my drink, my friend Dennis, who plays pool with me, came over. We hung out for a while, and I shared a little of my drink with him as well. Then, about forty-five minutes later, I ordered my third drink. To my surprise, Kyle simply poured me a glass of water and charged me the full price as if he had served me another cocktail. The Long Island Iced Tea was fourteen dollars, the gin and tonic was eleven, and the third "drink" was another eleven. I tipped him two to four dollars for each drink, so it's not like I was being cheap or disrespectful. I told Kyle that what he did was unacceptable. I've been coming to this place regularly, and I couldn't believe he would treat me like that. What makes the situation even more disappointing, is that Kyle seems to spend his time drinking with almost everyone at the bar, yet he couldn't even treat a regular customer honestly and professionally. Wednesday is actually my favorite night here because of the great live music. I came in hoping to relax, enjoy the atmosphere, and have a good evening. Instead, I felt disrespected, taken advantage of, and ultimately decided to leave. It's a shame that one bartender's behavior can ruin an otherwise great night at a place I genuinely enjoy. I hope management takes this seriously, because customers deserve honesty, respect, and professional service.
