I came here with 5 other friends. This was my first time in an escape room. I did the Mayan Tomb so my review is based on that. It is located on John Street in Morristown. It can be a little tricky to find since there are several buildings nearby but hopefully you can get in so you at least make an attempt at getting out. I was skeptical but this is definitely a great night out with friends to do something different. You have to think and work as a team or you will never make it out. read more

We did the Jewel Heist escape room, which was one of the more innovative and exciting rooms I've participated in. This had a good mix of logic puzzles with some physical elements mixed in. There was tons of room to move around for our party of eight. There were some VERY interesting mechanics in this room that helped build tension. Excellent design, smart puzzles, and a close finish that left us with about a minute at the end. This IS a harder room, so eat a good breakfast and get a good night's sleep before. read more

On September 10 we took a birthday party group to Last Minute Escape on John Street in Morristown. We have done other escape rooms, but never for a birthday party before. The Mayan Temple room at Last Minute Escape is probably the best escape room we have ever done. Avoiding spoilers: the puzzles are creative and nicely thematic (meaning they match the story that the room tells). The game master was observant and helped just enough to keep the puzzle flow going. And we solved it with 41 seconds to spare :-) Definitely recommend this one for puzzle room afficianados and novices alike. read more

Came here with 4 other people for a friend's low-key birthday celebration. It was my first time going to an "escape room" and I have to say it was pretty fun! We did the "Mayan Tomb" which is an hour long thing. I think it had something like a 52% success rate. Well, I'm happy to report that our little group solved this thing with a whole entire ~15 seconds~ to spare! We were pretty relieved that we weren't in the bottom 48% of escapists. If you succeed in escaping then you get to high five eachother, autograph a whiteboard, and have your picture taken holding that whiteboard. I'd share our picture, but one of our friends has a vulgar nickname and so the whiteboard says "Happy birthday *vulgar nickname*!" and I'm not sure that's appropriate for Yelp. read more

We were 8 people in December 2016 who were enjoying the challenge and made it almost to the end. We would have solved the game had the light sequence been functioning properly. After time ran out, our host came into the room to show us the correct sequence and could not do it herself. She confirmed the malfunction. A waste of our time and money. There was no offer of a refund or do over at another time. We felt unfulfilled and cheated. read more

We wanted something fun to do over President's Day weekend and Last Minute Escape was fantastic! We have done a lot of Escape Rooms and this was one of the best - all the clues make sense and work together to propel you forward in your escape. We did the Mayan Tomb and found the setting and scenery to be very well done. We failed, but it was fun, challenging, and exciting...so time and money well spent if you are looking for a corporate team-building event. Went with my husband and kids and we had a great time! We didn't get out, but it was still awesome. We each tried a different clue and puzzle. Perhaps would have been better with a full room (8 people) since there was so much to do. We will definitely be going back when the answer Jewel Heist opens in Morristown. We will also venture to some of the other ones. Wish the price was a bit lower, especially bc the kids loved it so much and want to keep finding rooms to solve. Looking for a way to make a memory for my mother's 81st birthday that would be enjoyable for my 10 & 11 year old children also. We chose the Mayan Tomb escape and had a blast. The rooms were well thought out and puzzles were challenging yet not so hard that everyone couldn't contribute. It was my mothers first escape room experience and now she wants to do more! My friends and I just completed the Submarine room in Montclair. The staff clearly put a lot of effort into the planning of the room. It was really well done. We found it challenging, but were able to complete the room by working as a team. I would absolutely recommend this room for both beginners and returning customers. read more

Had a great time doing the Jewel Heist - this was our second time doing a room escape. The storyline and atmosphere was fun. The first time we didn't finish the escape since there was only two of us. This time we were grouped with another crew and it made the experience much much better and since we are competitive at heart finishing the challenge felt great. Big shout out to the veterans we were paired with - u guys rocked and it was nice meeting the four of you. As for the location. I called a few hours earlier spoke with a gentlemen that was very professional accommodating and just made us feel comfortable upon arrival. Definitely a great job on the locations part having quality employees with a great attitude always is a bonus. Hats off to this room escape and to the genuine host. Highly recommend. AWESOME! This is my 4th escape room, and it was the best thus far. We were a group of 6, half of whom had never done an escape room before. The puzzles were challenging enough for someone experienced with escape rooms, yet not impossible for someone trying out for the first time; we got out with 2 mins to spare. We did the Mayan Tomb and it was great. From the decor, to the cheesy acting in instructional videos, to the diversity of the puzzles themselves, everything was thoroughly entertaining and top notch. We did the Mayan Tomb as a corporate team builder. Of the 9 people that attended, only two had done an escape room before. We had a blast trying to get out in time, however, we missed it by a few minutes. My team at work decided we needed a different kind of team building exercise this year, so we went to the Mayan Tomb escape in Morristown. What a blast!! The puzzles were so much fun, all different kinds of things, and the space was big enough for all ten of us to be working on things without stepping on each other's toes. We made it out with plenty of time to spare, proof that we're good at working together, I guess!
