Update for my review with OC - Savannah from customer service reached out regarding my experience…read moreand expressed regret over how things went and changes were actively happening at the company. She offered a free panel cleaning, which she set up internally and had their team come out this past Friday without issue. Since the cleaning the panels have been much better performing especially after these past few weeks of misting and rain, about 25% higher output. I didn't think much of it but I get now it's worth doing to get the most out of the panels. Overall a very good response and experience with OC specifically for this issue. I feel that they do want to stand out from the crowd and responding proactively to feedback gives me more confidence they'll take care of issues as they hear about them.

Every person who came out was professional and respectful. What really set them apart was handling both our full roof replacement and solar installation together. I didn't want a roofing company and solar company pointing fingers at each other down the road -- OC Solar eliminates that headache entirely. Their pricing was competitive, and their substantial warranty sealed the deal. Highly recommend them if you're considering solar!

We had new construction and solar was required. I contacted Infinity Solar and they walked us through each step of the process, and they were very patient and understanding through our numerous construction delays. I was connected with Nick who was great! Most solar companies only wanted to consult over the phone but Nick was more than happy to come meet with us. He looked at our construction and walked us through the next steps, explained who would handle what portion of the installation. Nick coming out and answering our questions made us feel more comfortable about the process. Sara was also great! She checked in on us periodically to see where we were in the construction process. She understood our delays and never made us feel pressured or rushed. They handled the permit process, kept us apprised of when it was approved and when our equipment was received. Infinity does their own installation which was a huge plus. I heard many stories of solar companies contracting out and not having the work pass inspection and the nightmare to get it corrected through the solar company because they did not do the install. Ivan and his crew came out to install. Ivan was patient, explained what they were going to do and what options we had for placement of the equipment. He was very knowledgeable and professional along with his team. They completed the install in a day. If you are looking for solar and want the process to be stress free and feel confident the work will be done right, I highly recommend Infinity Solar!

Absolutely First-Rate from Start to Finish When the fires…read morehit Southern California and we lost power for two weeks, something changed for me. I remember standing outside one night listening to my neighbor's generator roar to life again. It sounded like a chainsaw tearing through the quiet. Across the street, friends with solar and batteries had their lights on. Their kids were inside watching TV. Life looked normal. Meanwhile, I was packing up my family to leave our home. Rising electricity rates, AI data centers consuming massive amounts of power, and talk of double digit rate increases made going solar the right thing to do. I researched heavily. Built a spreadsheet. Interviewed over a dozen companies. Got bids through Energy Sage, cold called installers, and asked around for referrals. I wasn't looking for a sales pitch. I was looking for people I could trust with my home and my family's security. Infinity Solar felt different from the start. I didn't have to deal with brokers or middlemen to jack up prices. They are family owned, in business over 25 years, BBB A+ rated, and 5 stars on Yelp. Tim, the owner is a C10 licensed contractor, sets the tone for the entire company. His pride and commitment to doing things right shows up in every person on his team. Sara, our project manager, kept everything organized with clear, proactive communication. Blake handled the maze of permitting. If you've dealt with solar permitting in California you know what a mess it is. State, county, city, and fire department all with their own rules. Blake stayed on top of all of it so I didn't have to. Joel made sure the job site ran smoothly. The crew deserves real recognition: electricians Adrian, Ivan, Salvador, and Christian; roof lead Arni; installers Jose, Gabriel, Kieren, Israel, Erik, and Robert; and Deyvis helping with inspection. They showed up on time, worked hard, kept everything clean, and answered my endless questions without ever making me feel like I was in the way. Construction always has bumps. Permits get revised, inspectors want changes. What mattered was how Infinity handled it. Calmly, professionally, and without disappearing. Tim must be a good boss and take care of his people because this is a crew of highly skilled workers who take real pride in what they do. The day the system went live felt like a turning point. Our first outage was December 23rd while setting up for a Christmas party. Power was out over eight hours. The lights never flickered. I only knew because the app alerted me. Tim included a Solar Insure 30 year warranty covering panels, microinverters, wiring, and roof penetrations, including labor. It's backed by an A+ Superior rated third party insurer and is transferable if I sell my home. An installer's warranty is useless if they go out of business, so this gives real peace of mind. Because I verify everything, I called Solar Insure, Enphase, FranklinWH, and REC directly to confirm Infinity is a Premium or Platinum installer with each. They are. I'll break even in 8 years at current rates, sooner when rates keep climbing, and you know they will. But more than savings, it's peace of mind. When the grid goes down, our house doesn't. Infinity Solar gave our family back a sense of stability. I'm grateful we chose them.

Review Update: After…read moremy initial review, Eric (the sales rep) and Matt (the owner) of Sunline personally reached out to me and was apologetic about the situation. They sent Travis out promptly, who is their electrician where he found that the issue was resolved by replacing a faulty 40-amp breaker that was intermittently providing the necessary voltage, even though measurements initially appear correct. While the breaker issue caused real inconvenience and unexpected costs on my end, the owner was responsive and showed willingness to smooth things over to work toward a resolution. I also want to highlight that the panel upgrade and solar/battery installation itself was clean and well done. The workmanship that Eddie, Manny, Christian and Jamie performed had overall met my expectations, and once the issue was identified, Sunline did step in to correct it. No project is perfect, but how a company responds when problems arise matters a lot. In this case, Sunline's owner and Eric was engaged, responsive, and made a sincere effort to make things right. As an engineer, and after witnessing the symptoms and corrective actions firsthand, I believe the breaker issue was likely a manufacturing defect, and it was unfortunate that it occurred during the holidays. That said, based on how Sunline handled the situation, the overall quality of their work, and the value they offer, I would recommend them and plan to continue using them for future needs.

We were told in September that it would be set for October, then November, asked why it was taking so long and was told it was due to permits, (since September) in December we had to follow up because our rep wasn't contacting us at all. I text him and emailed the one person who emailed from Sunrun, never heard back. A month later a new rep emailed (no call) to say he's taking over that he will follow up with me. Again no response and this was in January. I am disappointed that the rep went out of his way to say how great this company was, but yet nobody can follow up. I replied recently to an email from CEO Mary Powell April 9th after receving an email about due to the pandemic there were alot of delays. I havent heard back but will give her the benefit of the doubt since it was only sent on the 9th. I gave a 2 star because the rep valued his job , and our concerns and needs. Our first conversation with NetZero was with Donny, and while it was helpful, we decided to pause and keep learning. After doing more homework and later reconnecting with Nilda and Bobby, the experience felt very different. They took the time to answer questions in plain language, walked through realistic expectations, and never tried to rush us into a decision. After we decided to move forward, the process was handled professionally from start to finish. Nick helped dial in the system design and made sure everything made sense for our home, and Mark oversaw the install side and kept things moving smoothly. The crew showed up when they said they would, treated our home with care, and cleaned up at the end of each day, which we really appreciated. Permitting and inspections were handled by the team and communicated the steps along the way. There were no surprises. Kelly was especially helpful keeping us in the loop and responding quickly whenever we had questions, which made the whole process feel far less stressful than we expected going in. Overall, NetZero Energy felt like a company that values doing things the right way and standing behind their work. We are happy with the install, the communication, and the end result, and would feel comfortable recommending them to friends or family who are considering solar.

Being up against a deadline, we really couldn't afford to fail the city inspection, and we passed easily. Thanks to the salesman Mark Howe for his direction, & to Henry Melling for a great design and implementation.
