Around 12 something for a platter. These days it's up to 15-17. I expected less quantity but they give big portions. The lady serving me was very detailed oriented, slowly stacking the salad making sure pieces dont fall over. The hummus was in a small plastic container that is put into one section of the platter plate. It'd be less waste if they just plopped on the hummus like other places. They give plenty of meat to cover the rice. I asked for extra garlic sauce and they were happy to give it. The chicken was nice. Not dry. The lamb however was soggy like it was steamed too long after shaving the pieces. The rice was also disappointing and was way overcooked and soggy. I think they could be a really great place if they can fix the sogginess of the rice and lamb.

Not sure if anyone cares, but they have gluten free options. Worth trying once, but the price makes me hesitant to come by too often.

I ordered the Vegan Special which came with 3 pieces of falafel, a spinach pie, stuffed grape leaf, tabbouleh salad, rice, pita bread and hummus and tahini dips. This was a wonderful meal and I highly recommend it. Even the rice was tasty. This one order gives you so much variety. The only thing I didn't like was the tabbouleh salad. The donairs at Xpress Donair House are of the most delicious flavours and quality ingredients with the best recipe BC has to offer. I've eaten here continually for the last 6 months whenever I'm in Coquitlam as this is the only donair house I go to. The staff are very friendly, and extremely talented at the art of making Donairs and preparing the ingredients to make you the absolute tastiest meal of your choice. This is definitely a long over due review. Words cannot describe the CONSISTENTLY phenomenal experiences my boyfriend and I experience when we come to eat at Xpress Donair. From the first time we came in the owner Amid, has not only been very personal, adaptable and generous, but he makes a damn good donair. He has got to know what we order EVERY time and makes them perfect even though we are picky. His whole family is very nice. I honestly don't think I could get a donair from anywhere else. Everything is fresh and cooked in house. Two choices of rice. Even the falafel is made fresh. Not that frozen garbage. Try the jalapeno salsa, it's top notch. Great marinades for the meet. It used to be a bigger place with dine in area. Now it's half the size with only a take out window. We ordered the large rice platter with chicken. It came with a can of pop for $16.50. Portion was good, enough for 2 small eaters or two small meals. I was initially disappointed to see white rice as other places version were with dill or yellow spiced rice. But the white rice was not bland, it was very flavorful and went really well with the meat and sauces. I liked how we were given pieces of chicken which were nicely charred on the edges. Not dry at all. I will get the rice platter again. Maybe I'll give the donair another try in future.
