I do not know how to express how good this place is. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the service is fantastic! I was served by Ali who tiok orders, and prepared food with the efficiency of a Swiss clock while maintaining a very pleasant demeanor. I always have a some-what good experience eating here but after yesterday will not ever return to this Donair shop. Their chicken Donair wraps are terrible they put so much lettuce that you barely taste anything else its like eating bread with lettuce. Overall one of the worst Donair I have ever had, total waste of 12 dollars, Service also isn't very good as the guy working there seems to not care about customers at all. One word: AMAZING!! This is and has always been my favourite donair place. My family has been going there for years. Some of the newer staff don't seem to put as much effort into the donairs as the two older gentleman do, and it's such a shame. You can really notice the difference. The taziki sauce is to die for. You can taste it's freshness and can tell it isn't pre bought from Costco. I drive by several other donair places on my way to this one and will always choose this place. So I gave this place another chance. I've gone twice since my original review and they've somehow miraculously managed to maintain their single-star rating but for entirely different reasons. 1st visit back... I talked with the owner while he constructed my chicken plate. I said this location was a little closer to me than their Austin location. This guy... man... he talked about how he sold that location years ago and just the way he talked about it... no respect for the people who paid, presumably something not resembling chump change for it. Just the sheer disrespect for a business that uses the SAME NAME as his made me never want to go back. I just got the vibe that he wasn't a very ethical/moral/respectable businessman. You wanted to sell your business, they bought it from you. They should be your friends. You wishing them ill is VERY VERY BAD on you! The food was decent enough... about on par with the Austin location. 2nd visit back. This is the kicker. I showed up with my wife at 7pm and ordered 2 chicken plates. The place was empty and they definitely did not seem busy. Here's a list of everything that went wrong: 1. Ran out of hummus. They scraped together barely enough to put with the meal. I told them to bring me more when they're done making it as we were eating in. 2. Ran out of greek salad. They had to go and cut up some more veggies in the back. 3. They took 15 minutes to construct 2 chicken plates. The Austin location does it in 5 minutes or less. 4. I paid for my $22 meal with a pair of twenty dollar bills. I got back a $10 bill and a pile of change they had to scrounge up. Considering you're apparently the "original" Donair Town owners, you should have your procedures down. You should be able to do this with your eyes closed...and not bungle through every little thing. The people who run the other location do a much better job. You guys should go see if they'll train you to run the business. I will not be returning to this location again. read more

My family and I have gone to this restaurant for years UNTIL RECENTLY WHEN WE FOUND SMALL SHARDS OF METAL IN OUR DONAIRS! Turns out the metal was coming from the mesh screens that cover the heaters behind the meat, which were old, burnt and falling apart. It was pointed out to the owner who said "I rent the equipment and I have insurance"! It would seem he's not concerned about the safety of the public as the broken screens were still being used when I visited 2 weeks after the incident. Wow. I am not very happy! My Donair was completely awful! The chicken within was old, hard dark meat. No fresh pieces to be seen! The tomatoes inside were 1000 years old! If the place was nearby I'd walk there and ask for a refund! My Greek Salad was terrible too, ancient tomatoes, no dressing. WHY??? Cheaping out on your customer's food is not cool. I wouldn't recommend this place if u have ever had real Donair/shawarma. The chicken was too salty, the rice was bland, the "tzaziki" sauce was just yogurt in a squeeze bottle and the hummus was a thick ass flavourless paste most likely used to glue cement. The restaurant itself is way too nice for the quality of the food. We were sat on fancy leather chairs while eating off a lunchroom tray with plastic cutlery and styrofoam containers. One more thing, three men collectively struggled to make one plate of food. Overall not bad if you have low standards and trash taste buds. read more

The food is really good. Definitely has awesome donairs. They seem to not have regular hours though. Like the sign says they open at noon but when I show up at 1230 they aren't even open. I want to give this place 4 1/2 stars. The food was so fresh and the restaurant was immaculate. My husband and I split the lamb donair and chicken/beef plate. There wasn't much Greek salad on the plate but it was really heavy just the same. The rice was yummy and not plain with a nice spicy sauce that went over the meat. We had lots left over even after we stuffed ourselves because the portions are large. There were some neat things on the menu that I would not be able to spell since I've never heard of them. I think the owner made our food, I liked that he put on new gloves and was very personable. Again it was so fresh and tasty. I high recommend this place! read more

Was going to the sushi place next door because California Sushi was packed and had a line, but they closed early because they haven't had a customer in over an hour...hmmmm...probably good it was closed early. Anyways was hungry so I thought I would walk over and grab a donair . Place was clean and bright. Service was authentic and friendly. The donair was great.
