Large drink

Came here twice. First time was soon after they just opened. It was unlimited topping refill but now it's changed to unlimited milktea/fruit tea refill. On your initial purchase you can get unlimited toppings but they're small scoops because they fill 80% of the cup with ice. If there's a specific toppings that you like, I recommend to ask for two scoops before they put ice in it. The concept is good however, you only have 30mins (from the time of payment) to finish your first drink so that you can refill it. Within the 30 mins we were able to refill it only once because they took about 10 minutes to make the first drink. So we only had about 20 mins.. which isn't a lot of time. I wish they started the 30 mins once we get the first drink.

This is a new bubble tea shop, opened 2023-02-28, with a new concept: "all you can drink". What is the catch? You get the drink base only once, and you can pay for unlimited topping refill within a 30-min period (if you remain within the store). The problem comes in the evening when the lineup is long, so good luck trying to get a refill more than once. I asked why it is considered "all you can drink" when it is only the toppings that are unlimited. They explained that the concept is similar to unlimited hotpot where the soup base is given once, but you can have unlimited ingredients. The concept is not identical because you can easily eat the cooked ingredients without drinking the soup base; plus they can add hot water to the soup base. At XOXO, if you drink 50% of the drink base, it is gone, but you have more room to add toppings if you love the toppings (some people do). Service was helpful and good. There are currently 71 different toppings (Mar 2023). There is a set of toppings that are made in-house. There is a set of 25 premium toppings, with refill limitations (see below). These are documented in the order menu they give to you. Some of the toppings are actual fresh fruit slices like strawberry, apple, orange, peach, and lychee. The restaurant is a fusion of Vietnamese and Taiwanese. The pink colour scheme is Korean. The Vietnamese toppings are the homemade flan, panna cotta, and jello. Their homemade toppings are considered premium toppings. All the toppings are displayed in containers. Most are sorted by colour making is quite a colourful display. I'm going to explain the rules and how to get your money's worth. The steps are documented in the order menu. Step 1: Pick your cup size. It is $5.99 for a 21 oz cup and $6.99 for a 32 oz cup (I would choose the larger cup - but you will ruin any diet you might be on!). The large is definitely large! Step 2: Each topping costs $1.00. However, you can choose to pay $3.99 if you want 4+ toppings and/or want the unlimited toppings option. Step 3: Pick a tea/milk/Yakult drink base. Step 4: Choose your toppings, measured by scoops. It is recommended to have up to 7 scoops for the regular cup and 9 scoops for the large cup; your choice, of course. You can have as many scoops of any toppings, except you can have a maximum of 1 scoop of each of the 25 premium toppings; this means once you choose a particular premium topping, you cannot have it again in the 30-min period, but there are 25 to try! Step 5: Choose a foam topping; you can choose from any of 3 foam toppings or choose no toppings. Notice that you don't get to choose the sugar level or ice level. I noticed that all the drink bases are in large containers, and no additional sugar is added, implying you can't reduce the sugar level. I ordered a large cup ($6.99), all you can drink option ($3.99), with the XOXO Milk Tea as the drink base. In my initial round, I got the following 5 toppings: Taro Panna Cotta, Flan, Seedless Lychee, Brown Sugar Agar, and Strawberry Popping. After drinking 20% of the drink base and some of the toppings, I ordered the following toppings: Coffee Panna Cotta, Lychee Jello, Sakura Jelly Boba, and Mango Popping. I could have chosen less sweet toppings to balance out the sweet toppings, but I was like a kid in a candy store! I wanted to have different colours and toppings that I've never had before. Unfortunately the Cream Cheese Foam covers up the colours! Failed! My wife found the drink too sweet. More for me! I found each topping was good on its own. Now, about optimizing. If you really want a lot of toppings and multiple refills, then drink a small portion of the drink base like 20%-30%, then request more toppings. If there is a long lineup, then drink while lining up. It is best to go when there are fewer people, also because of limited seating (you might lose your seat while lining up!). There is indoor seating for about 8-10 on chairs at the table seating, and 3 on stolls at the counter seating. There is mid-volume pop music playing in the background. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There is one gender-neutral washroom downstairs, so it is not wheelchair accessible. There is paid street parking. Review 2023-055

When i came across this place. I was super excited because i love drinking boba. However, i didnt get the chance to do the all you can drink. The boba i got was super good, it is very limited. But if u go for the all you can drink it is cheaper to go that route for more toppings. I love my popping boba and jelly . It was super good. For service: the only situation was their internet kept dying and we had to go take out money. Their milk and fruit tea is good. The only problem i am having with every boba is it is so lemony, more lemon taste/ sour flavor then a fruit tea flavor. The ambiance was good. Very slow or very fast. Depending on the day, it was a pretty ok moving day for the workers.

If you're a first timer, you're gonna want to do the unlimited refills (TRUST ME)! I made the mistake of thinking I'd be content with just one small cup... then I wanted more. I ordered the Brown Rice Milk Tea with no toppings or additives. It was YUMMY! Also, the staff here are super kind, accommodating and pleasant! I had such a great experience, would love to go back and highly recommend this place!

Good boba tea. If you do the all you care to enjoy be prepared, it's a lot of boba tea. Definitely more then I could handle. So many toppings, which is awesome and overwhelming at the same time.

Small bubbletea shop that also serves pastries and Filipino meals…read more Their standout offering, of course, is the bubbletea. The tea is loose-leaf, so is elevated from the typical bubbletea. But it's the tapioca that really makes the drink shine with how fresh and bouncy they are. For a tea shop, this place also has really good food. Tried the scones and they were super buttery, very flavourful, and were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside like all great scones. We also got some Filipino meals - the lechon kawali and lumpia super crispy, the bangsilog had a good portion size for the price, and the halo-halo was refreshing. Place is mainly a takeout spot, but there are a couple of small tables to sit 4. Service is friendly. Tea offerings are extensive. Worth a drop-by.

Cookies: The matcha white chocolate cookie was freshly made. Quite soft and delicious. Reasonably sized cookie. Yema cake: It was my first time having the Yema cake so I was looking forward to try it. I got the ube flavour and a soft chiffon cake texture. It wasn't too sweet and was perfect for a nice small dessert. The staff were friendly and the service was good. It's too bad there's limited seating as it would be great to dine-in. I definitely want to come back to try out their drinks!
