The food here is very good. I especially liked the elote. That came out very quick and hot. I also ordered the Caribbean shrimp taco with some substitutions the toppings. That took a fair amount longer, but I suspect it was because they had a number of carry out orders they had to fill. When it did arrive, it was prepared correctly and hot and equally delicious! Took a little while for me to complete pay my bill, which can be troublesome if you're in a hurry like I was to get to Chicago Before serious rush-hour However, that is a small quibble. The next time I have to go to Lapeer, I will be stopping here for lunch or supper.

I have been taking Spanish on Duolingo for about a year now but I still haven't learned enough complimentary vocabulary to describe how amazing the food here is. I wasn't 100% sure what to expect because it was a little different than I imagined in my head. It's smaller than you would expect and situated into the first floor of what I believe is a local news station, but not 100% sure. It's cute, not overly decorated in cultural tropes you see it most Mexican restaurants, instead it is very modern and clean. I sat at the bar in some of the most comfortable bar stools I think that have ever been created. It was fantastic. But let's get to the heart of the review, the food. All I can say is wow and now regret not taking more pics. I started with the elotes and it was so well made. The flavors of the cream cheese and various herbs seeped through with every bite. For dinner I ordered the Carribean Camaron, Korean Chicken, Korean Beef Bulgogi and a birria. Yes, that is a lot of food, but you don't get a construction barrel body like mine by eating a lot of side salads. It's when you put away 3000 calories in tacos that you get that nice round look like I have. I could get into specific detail of each taco, but I'm going to avoid inundating you with 5 paragraphs of me saying O!M!G! they are so tasty and delicious and wonderful for each one. Just go here, eat here, wash it all down with a Modelo or your preferred drink of choice. You will not regret it.

Here from California and we came here for lunch. This place is a bar and grill. It has a bar vibe. When we entered it was empty and most of the patrons were at the bar. We ordered chips and guacamole for an appetizer. For our meal we ordered tacos and shrimp nachos. Everything was good. The shrimp nachos were especially tasty. Lilian, was our server and she did a great job. Thanks!

Pretty good place for a few drinks and appetizers or a light dinner.. We've eaten here a number of times now and the food quality, service and ambiance are always solid... Their house margarita is great and I order one every time we stop in, even if I'm going to order a beer afterwards. I love their losses nachos (sans beef) and their fish tacos are very good. They have a very nice, diverse menu and they are willing to accommodate vegetarian suggestions.. Service is always good- prompt, attentive friendly. We've never had an issue with long waits for service, food or drinks. The last time we are here, our server went above and beyond and always came back to check on our table and ask how the food was, clearing appetizer dishes/bowls out of the way promptly, making certain we had drinks etc.. she was wonderful, despite having several tables to check. Prices are pretty on par with the area, nothing over the top. The ambiance is chic and modern.. The only caveat is the don't have a very large dining room, but they do have outdoor seating.

If you're in the mood for different tacos in the genesee county area, this is your place. We had the chance to finally try the food here and I was pleasantly surprised. It's not authentic Mexican food but it is delicious. The Mexican corn (elote) was great! It came with three small pieces and it's got a little kick. The asada tacos were good. The only thing I didn't care for were the onions on top because they were too sweet for the taco. The el pastor (pork) were our favorites. The bulgogi taco was very different but really good, especially with the kimchi.

So happy we found this place! Right in the heart of downtown Flint! Live music, outdoor seating, and delicious food! I could honestly go here just for drinks and chips/guacamole. The chips are soooo good! Sounds kinda crazy but the shaved Brussels taco is one of the best tacos I've every tried! WE WILL BE BACK!

Cam back here recently and my previous concerns were still there. Apparently there had been some change in staff since I came here last, which makes sense why the food has been showing the improvement I was looking forward to. At least the ambiance is still welcoming. Ultimately, I would recommend another establishment up the street if you would like some good tacos.

The food was good, as we had the carnitas rice bowl and chicken taco salad. The service was a bit slow, but we will come back for the food.

Service was terrible. We had to leave because we weren't being served, while others who arrived after us did receive service.

The frozen margarita was amazing and their Taquitos are the best I ever had. Service and pricing were both good as well.

Home-style Mexican food!…read more This is good, authentic Mexican food, made with love and infused with a little bit of flair. It's so nice to have good Mexican food at the Flint Farmer's Market. Their chips are homemade and the salsa is awesome. Vegetarian loaded nachos are ridiculously good, made to order, with super fresh ingredients. Whichever veggies you want on your nachos, you'll get and whichever ones you don't want, they'll leave off for you. The tortilla chips are a bit greasy, but not overly so. It's not like you'll double over in GI distress afterwards! Besides, I like my chips a little oily, with just the right amount of salt. These aren't of the dry and flat ilk, but have a little zest to them instead. They also sell my husband's favorite line of seltzer water, which he can't find anywhere else around town, so that's a big plus in my book. He's always going on about that specific type of seltzer water, so even if I'm not stopping in for food, I still need to grab some of that seltzer water just to appease him. The price is right, too, with two people easily dining together for just $10. There's also a small line of grocery items, featuring rices, seasonings, spices, tortilla chips, salsa, and more available as well, with decent prices on most everything.

Honestly, I don't think I've ever had a taco with radishes before and it seems an unlikely choice for a taco, but it was surprisingly good . Their loaded nachos are very tasty and the chips have the right balance of oil and salt, without being either too much or not quite enough. Very affordable prices and extremely good service. I will be back!

The ground beef taco could have used a tad more seasoning for my liking but everything was fresh and tasty. The person who took my order was super friendly and the food was hot and ready when they said. I would definitely go back. PS. They no longer offer beef stew as a side it comes in a burrito. That made me sad.

Rating just the service, price and look of the meal:…read more I stopped here to purchase a meal for someone else, so I can't speak to the quality or taste. The parking lot is behind the building and so is the entrance. Once inside, I had to walk all the way to the front to reach the counter and place a to go order. I was greeted and told she'd help me in a min. Soon she was back, she answered a few of my questions and then I ordered. I decided to go with the large beef taco salad and a can of coke. I had a seat while I waited about 5-7 minutes for the order to come out. Everything was bagged and ready to go, including plastic ware, napkins, and sauces. I only checked the written menu on the wall, but the prices seemed reasonable, the portion size was respectable, and the food looked and smelled good. It made me think that the next time I'm here, perhaps I should order ac taco salad for myself. My impression of the ambiance is very much hole-in- wall, family owned restaurant. It seems like the sort of place that only cares about giving you good food and doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles.

Updated Review - Jan. 2026…read more "From DoorDash Disappointment to In-Person Perfection!" I'm updating my previous review because one of the owners, Christina, personally reached out to me after my initial experience. She invited me back to try a pickup order, and I am so impressed by a business owner who truly stands behind her product. My first experience via DoorDash was expensive and underwhelming, but this visit was a total 180! The Vibe & Service - the shop has a great "street" decor vibe with a heartwarming touch, lots of family photos on the wall. Huge shoutout to Brianna, who handled my follow-up visit with excellent customer service; she was knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond! The Food & Value - everything was fast, fresh, and high-quality. I highly recommend the Tuesday Specials: 5 ground beef tacos for $10 or 3 barbacoa for $10. Tacos: Fried "Flint-style" with a perfect meat-to-shell ratio. The meat is NOT greasy (no dripping down your arm!), which is a huge plus. We season very aggressively at home, so for my personal taste, I think the meat could have used just a bit more seasoning, but I think they are likely playing it safe to satisfy the masses and rightfully so. Either way, they were still really good and I'd definitely eat them again! The Egg Rolls: They offer Flint-style and BBQ Chicken, but the Southwest Chicken Egg Roll was my favorite, super crunchy and spicy with nicely shredded chicken inside. Chicken Wings: Perfect size and very tasty. I hate a big chicken leg or flat bone. Haha. Dessert: They make Banana Pudding fresh, and it is the perfect sweet finish to the meal. The red velvet cheesecake is also a must try. Pro-Tips for Ordering: Order Direct: Skip DoorDash to avoid the premium prices. Use Great Lakes Eatz & Treatz online ordering and they'll send you a text message when it's ready. You will also get this ordering at the counter. Local Roots: Support this family business! They ran a food truck for 2 years before opening this spot, and they also offer catering. Support small businesses. Convenience: Located in a plaza with a convenience store so you can grab a pop or snacks while you wait. I'm officially a regular now... especially since I live just 2 miles away. Thank you, Christina and Brianna, for the fantastic service and delicious meal! See you again soon.
