This restaurant is right in the heart of downtown Flushing with easy, free parking out front. We were seated right away, and the place was very clean. The service was great. Our server checked in often and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was much better than I expected. My friend ordered the chicken fajitas, which arrived sizzling with a good balance of meat and vegetables and plenty of flavor. I had the chimichangas. They were two smaller, hand rolled fried shells filled with exceptionally well seasoned ground beef. There was a layer of queso underneath and a little sauce on top, which brought everything together. They were delicious. The beans and rice were standard sides. Not standout items, but not bad either. The chips seemed store bought, and the salsa was fresh but mild with very little heat. Overall, I would definitely go back. The ground beef was excellent, and I'm especially curious to try their tacos since flavorful meat is often where other places fall short. We spent about $20 each with drink. read more

I'VE NOT been here in a long time. The food is always great. Waitress wasn't very cordial. it seemed she wanted for me to hurry and order. young but that should not excuse someone for doing their best regardless of the profession. The manager said you don't have throw the plate at us BUT I DID NOT. Customer service is imperative and u may forget who knows u. The manager who I'm referring to. She had attitude . I asked for chicken To the waitressI was given chicken for the "enchilada" but for the taco was beef which I didn't ask for. I asked to see the manager I already stated her attitude. Normal for her. She asked me what I wanted to do. NICE NASTY I said nothing bc of her demeanor. No I didn't leave a tip bc I do not expect to encounter situations like this. Besides I have food restrictions and that's why I asked for corn tortillas and chicken. I drove 20 minutes to eat there and I believe that there's one on Hill road. But I will not be visiting. Sorry if I asked for a moment bc I had not eaten there in a long time but I needed to look over the menu. If I treated with hospitality things would've been different also charged for salsa to put on my taco $2.25. I asked for it. I've never been at a Mexican restaurant and charged for. Or was served in square bowl. this tells me I was not wanted here and got the message. That don't care attitude and u r getting on my nerves was read. Seated as soon as we stepped and complimentary tortilla chips and salsa was served.order was promptly taken. In spite of being full they were pretty quick with the orders.Lot of options to choose. Ordered a combo( Chicken Burrito,Pork Tamale,Soft taco, refried beans, rice) which costed me $10.99 ( isn't that cheap?) and my friend ordered a burrito that came with refried beans and rice on the side but it costed $12 and a margarita which costed $11. Excellent establishment. Walked into a chill vibe and easy seat yourself anywhere you want. I mentioned I was in a rush and he said they are known to be speedy and definitely delivered on that. Finished lunch and paid within 25 minutes or so. Fantastic food is the most important thing. Chips are nice and crunchy! I had some chips at a fancy restaurant in Hawaii and it was stale and they said it was how it was made. Zero complaints on the chips here. As always the food is plentiful and good, the service is fast and friendly, the prices are decent, and the ambiance is variable depending on the time of day. We generally go mid-day, 1:00-3:00. We are retired and can do that. We dined here between 5:00-7:00 and found it to be noisy due to a fuller house which is to be expected. read more

We've been frequenting Puerto Vallarta since they opened in Flushing. While the service is ALWAYS fast and friendly the food just isn't as good as it once was. Nothing has any "Mexican" flavoring, it's just bland. The steak is always tough, beef is too greasy and the fajitas have no appeal. It's been on the down hill for several years. I'm not a big reviewer but was in town for a travel hockey game and gave PV a try. This was probably the best Mexican food I can recal having in Michigan, and my family eats at lot of Mexican restaurants including the restaurants in Mexican village Detroit. This place has stayed open throughout much of the pandemic and we've been sure to support them. They have always been so kind to us whether we are dining in or getting takeout. They have some of the most delicious food ever. I always get the chicken burritos tapicos and it's always perfect. This place has become one of our favorite places since moving to Flushing. The waitstaff is so friendly and even know what we are going to order before we sit down. As far as Mexican food goes, it's not out of this world great but it is good and the price is right.
