This place has become one of our favorite places since moving to Flushing. The waitstaff is so friendly and even know what we are going to order before we sit down. As far as Mexican food goes, it's not out of this world great but it is good and the price is right. I love the steak and cheese burrito but you can never go wrong with their tamales or tacos. read more

Puerto Vallarta is a smallish cozy restaurant in the heart of downtown Flushing. I must admit that a large part of my review comes from numerous visits to their former Linden Road location which closed around 2012 unexpectedly. This was my first visit to this location. First thing, there is apparently no parking in front of the building unless you circle the block endlessly waiting for a vacancy. There is alley parking in the back, but let me stress that there is no handicap parking and the alley pavement is both very uneven and dangerous for elderly persons to navigate. Taking my 80-year-old mother was a daunting task. Service is prompt and courteous. My visit was during early lunch and it wasn't busy. Food selection was good with many choices including à la carte and vegetarian options. The flavor was typical but not as good as their previous location. Prices were astronomical. Three small tacos and a quesadilla ran $32. Overall score: Accessibility 0; Service 4; Menu 4; Taste 3; Price compared to similar 0. Likelihood of returning? Not likely. read more

We eat here often and tell and bring friends the food is good and great prices ! We took some friends this Sunday that we're visiting from out of town our meal was great they started getting busy we ordered fried ice creams we had told our friends how great it was she delivered them to our table and it was a scoop of vanilla ice cream with whip cream and chocolate sauce we were dissapointed we called the waitress over and said what happened this is not fried ice cream she said yeah I'm really busy and he don't know how to make it then walked away ! The chips very stale like leftovers from a super bowl party. The portions were very small, and it was the bizarre looking chimichanga I've ever seen. The food came out super fast, perhaps too fast. Try sagebrush or tia haletas if you want bang for your buck. read more

I used to eat here regularly but then service started to steadily decline along with quality of food. Portions were light or made incorrectly. I also overheard the employees talking very crudely with some "colorful" language in Spanish about some of their customers. The last I was in there they had delivered food to our table which we did not order and then refused to take it off of the bill. I will not be returning. read more

This place is honestly the best Mexican I have ever had. The food was amazing. I'll be honest, I don't remember what the dish I ordered was called but it was similar to shrimp fajitas and the shrimp was in a very spicy sauce with sautéed onions. It was ridiculously spicy but I ordered it that way so they did it right. Prices are good and you get enough food for two so unless your starving you'll have some to take home. You can tell that the owners and staff actually care about how the food tastes and what you think of it. This is the closest thing I've been able to find compared to my favorite places in Phoenix. This is the best Mexican Restaurant in Genessee County. Their menu has many great choices. The food is fantastic and the service is second to none. I took my family there on a Thursday evening at about 6:45. We were seated immediately and before we got to the table, I had two servers ask if I needed a high chair. We put our 18 month old in the high chair and we were served chips and salsa before we could even sit down. Before we ordered our adult meals, we asked the server if we could get a cheese quesadilla first for the baby as he was hungry NOW if you know what I mean. He returned quickly with the quesadilla and then took our orders. The baby no more than started eating and our meals were served. The service was so fast that we were actually able to enjoy our meals before the baby melted down. While paying the bill, Pablo asked if he could take the baby around the restaurant The baby loved the attention. I don't let just anyone hold our little boy, but Pablo was really sweet to him. Our dinner out tonight started out to be just a dinner out, but ended up being a very enjoyable night out. We'll be back often. read more
