This review is solely based on my experience with Jay Villena, on of the store managers at this specific location. Worst customer service ever! I had an appointment just to return an equipment. There's no sign telling me to check in so I waited 15 minutes, I told them my appointment and they told me I have to check in and they're still have three, four people in front of me. I've been here before just to return equipment and at that time I had to wait 1 hour. I noticed they would spend at least one hour for each customer. Scammers. I went into the Xfinity store to exchange a WiFi extender that's still working but making a loud noise and getting dangerously hot. I explained that clearly and asked for a replacement. Cable reception in Modesto is horrible. Tiling/pixilating ruins the programs and it happens all day long. We pay a premium price for crappy reception. Giving this place 3 stars instead of 1 because of Raymond the guy who was kind enough to help me. I didn't see urgency to help with customers waiting as employees. I just wanted to pick up wifi equipment. I walked in and was greeted by Raymond and he added me to the queue. I had initially stated I just wanted to pick items but still had to wait which is fine but I didn't think I'd be waiting 15 mins for me to just get my items. The people in the back that could have easily helped me. That kind of annoyed me as this wait time was eating away at my lunch hour. We have "no solicitor" signs all over the front of our house. The only people who ignore the sign are people from Sun Run and Xfinity. This time it was a guy named "Donald Brown." When I asked him if he understood what "no soliciting" meant he said yes but it didn't apply to him. He was there to tell us about some new cable. I explain to him that that's soliciting. He's literally arguing with me. He thinks Xfinity is so great, "no soliciting" signs don't apply to them. This is the world we live in today, folks. Comcast is a big company. They don't care that their employees harass citizens. They think this kind of behavior will some how get them business. This guy did give me his card (which was surprising because at this point the Sun Run guys will not) I guess because he was so sure he was in the right. This is a review for Raymond at the NEW location on GRANTLINE. My husband & I were greeted right away at 10:00 am on Sat. 10/19/24. We had to return our cable box. Murad helped me out with my business. we a cell phone plan with Verizon and I had nothing but problems. My bill kept going up every month. Murad was very patient! He made sure me and my wife got everything done correctly for the business. I was nervous about everything didn't want to lose our numbers. He made sure everything switched over within 20 minutes. I was very impressed, every other company I went to, told us it could take up to 12 hours.. Comcast is very lucky to have Murad!! I highly recommend Comcast to anyone! AVOID!!!! AVOID!!!! AVOID!!!! tried changing cell phone service, the price was good, the salesman was nice, but thats where it ended. Ordered 2 new iphone 16 (Wife and I), ok, they sent the wrong iphones. Had to wait all day Saturday , delivery had to be signed for finally came after 4:00pm (said it would be delivered in the AM). Second phone was delivered on Monday , same thing only it was delivered after 6;00pm. So now, we waisted 2 hours at the store getting the original order, waited 2 full days for delivery, and they were the WRONG phones. We brought the iphones into the store to exchange them for the correct iphones. Salesman said it would be no problem. He activated one of the iphones, but could not complete the transaction for the second iphone. This was after another 2 hours in the store. FINALLY i said enough is enough I was done, I wanted to cancel the whole change to Xfinity Mobile. But here is the worst part, He could not but my phone number back on my original iphone. So now we have spent at least 4 hours in the Xfinity Store, 2 full days waiting for the wrong phones, and I don't even have my original phone working. We had to go to the AT&T store to get my old iphone reactivated. But we could not, because Xfinity had transfered my number (i have had this same number for over 20 years), so we spent another 3 hours at the AT&T store trying to get my number back (that Xfinity has now stolen from me). So I have to try again tomorrow morning with AT&T, because the technicians had left for the day. I have bought and closed on houses in less time than it takes to get iphone for Xfinity!!! NEVER!! NEVER!! I have very bad experience with Xfinity customer service. I bough 2 Apple iPhone 14 plus. As there was no SIM card and they will be eSim activation to do by xfinity but they messed up my account by adding 3rd line phone number to my account that I don't own. I needed to upgrade my cable box and this is the place I went to get it done. You check in with the person at the door, get a time to come in since they're social distancing and can only accommodate certain amount of people inside. Once I got in, I got greeted by someone, told me to place my old box on their return shelving, sat on one of their booth and my upgrade was taken care of in a very timely manner. Came in today to drop off some old cable boxes this afternoon and had to wait in line outside per covid restrictions so took about 10 min to get in but would have been quicker if I'd made an appointment. Talk about bad service; if I could give a -5, I would. I had the displeasure of talking to a manager named Frederick l, who was actually worse than the customer service rep Diane. Frederick actually had the nerve to tell me, "You are taking advantage of the package of 115 a month." Reallt taking advantage of!!!! The base is 115.00, but the bill is actually 248.00, which is a lot of fees and taxes. I have been with xfinity since 1997, the disrespect that was shown to me by telling me, "You are taking advantage of the package of 115 a month." I told Frederick well, this is Bullshit and !@#$% and paying 248.00 a month feels like I am the one who's being taken advantage of. I also told Frederick that maybe it's time I shop for new service; his attitude was that he could have cared less, his reply was more like, well I hope you been happy with the services you have received. He goes. Can I try and help you? I told him fine. He goes over some things; he will bring the bill down another, maybe 18.00 dollars, but in the end, the bill will still be around 200.00 plus. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep standard TV and other channels but not pay the xfinity prices? Went to get my own internet/wifi after the gym. Brought it home and spent an hour trying to get it to work. Wouldn't work. Was getting frustrated. Got back home after dinner and tried again to get the internet going. Had to call tech support. 2 hours with tech support and the first guy I was texting with couldn't figure out why it wasn't working. He told me to call another number, was on the phone with this lady for another hour trying to get it to work. Until she finally figured out that the employees at the Xfinity store didn't register/scan/enter the modem into my account correctly. So she said that I had to take the modem back to the store the next day and tell them they entered it wrong or didn't enter it at all. So my account didn't even show that I had a modem. WTH! By then it was 10:30 pm and the store is closed. So frustratIng. read more
