It was time for a new phone. I decided to go to Xfinity right when they opened at 10 AM on a Thursday to avoid crowds. The store opens at 10 and I arrived at about 10:02 - there was a line checking in. There were about a dozen people in front of me. The wait wasn't terrible but was about 30 minutes. The store associate who worked with me was pleasant and knowledgeable. I told her what I was looking for and that I wanted to trade in my old phone. I was given a fair price for the trade-in. The iPhone couldn't be discounted although I did try to negotiate. Not sure if the manager could have done something, but I chose just to move ahead. The process to get the new phone took about 20 minutes. At that point, you are brought to another area where you wait for someone to help you activate the new phone and transfer the contents from your old phone to the new one. I waited about 20 minutes for that store associate to help. The phone needed to update it's operating system, then switch to the transfer process. This took between 30 and 40 minutes. I added a few accessories since I had a 50% off accessories coupon. At that point, the second associate I worked with asked if the first one had gone over my bill with me. No, she hadn't. This associate went through my bill and found a way to save a few dollars a month and add services. I chose not to do it then and got the offer in writing so I could return to the store another time to take them up on it. Overall, the store associates are knowledgeable but vary in the level and quality of service they provide. The waits are too long - especially since some store associates were milling around not helping anyone. That isn't a good look for any business. read more

Absolutely disgusting people, couldn't get a 5 years locked deal on internet service I saw it online for $70. Rebeca Quinones was trying to get me a $60 for one year deal nobody was asking her for. i was unable to receive incoming phone calls. they were going directly to email with the caller receiving the message that my voice mailbox was not set up. All my calls were being forwarded to an unknown number. Several techs attempted to correct the issue to no avail. Then Jimmy at the Schaumburg store who was a relatively new employee (2 months) came to the rescue. He not only solved the problem, but made me trust that he knew what he was doing. He's very personable & you can tell he enjoys helping people. He should get the EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH award. Unfortunately, I ended up back at this store again. Since making my purchase here, no other location has been able to help me. Originally, I wasn't planning on leaving a personal review, but after this last experience, I feel I need to share what happened. Every time I've visited, I was "helped" by the same person, Hector. He gave me his direct number and told me to call if I ever needed help after my purchase. At the time of my original purchase, he was friendly, and the interaction went well. After waiting two weeks for my new phone to arrive, I brought it to the store to get it activated, as Hector had instructed. While there, I pointed out to him that he might have made a mistake on the trade-in. It seemed he used the wrong phone on my account. Unfortunately, that turned out to be true. After spending two hours in the store, Hector handed me off to another employee, Jordan, who genuinely tried to help but couldn't resolve the issue. This turned into a four-day ordeal, during which I was sent to four different stores, only to be told that no one could do anything. During this time, I called Hector's "direct line" three separate times and never once received an answer or a call back. Since discovering his error, he has shown zero effort or accountability in trying to fix it. I eventually went back to the original store to continue working with Hector. I was clearly frustrated, though I remained polite. At that point, I was nearly in tears from the stress of the situation. Hector, on the other hand, became increasingly frustrated, loud, and rude, to the point that other customers began looking over. His manager came over, apologized for his behavior, and offered to step in. Even while she was trying to help, Hector continued raising his voice and talking over her, until she asked me to follow her to another desk and told him to take a break. She acknowledged that his behavior was inappropriate and apologized again. After explaining everything, she did her best to help, but unfortunately, I was told I'd have to pay for Hector's mistake. The only way to fix the problem was to return and repurchase the phone, which meant I had to spend additional money and wait even longer for everything to be resolved. I understand that I'm not the only customer, but working in customer service means doing your job right and when you make a mistake, owning it and making it right. Instead, Hector seemed more focused on convincing me to upgrade another phone on my account. To make things worse, the manager initially told me she would give me a free Apple Watch for the inconvenience. I thanked her, knowing it didn't fix the issue but appreciating the gesture. About 30 minutes later, she came back to retract the offer and said she could instead give me $150 off the cheapest watch and that I'd still need to pay $6 a month for 24 months for the rest. How disappointing. For a company of this size and reputation, I'm truly disgusted with the way issues like this are handled. The customer service is completely nonexistent. read more

The staff at this location are really nice people to do business with. I have twice been to this store to make purchases and been here a few other times to make modifications to my account. Today I went to get an Apple Watch and they had plentiful stock levels. I strongly recommend this store as it's a larger location that's more frequently stocked and has more staff. They are crooks and the internet was always going out! Then , they took $75.50 out of my account and I cancelled the service May 12th and returned the equipment too. Each time I have experienced excellent customer service beginning with the store manager Kaywon, and the mobile service provided by Jae, and Jose. Customer service is awful at this store. Frank was at the front desk when I ask if I was still in the que. He said yes and proceeded to try and answer a question. Then took my phone and tried to resolve my issue. As he is looking at my phone he started answering other people's questions. I said that was rude to tend to other people as he was working with me. Then he told me why he could not do it and repeated home self 3 times , then I explained that I get it. Then he continued to repeat himself 2 more times. I told him that was rude. The manager. Went in there pissed Xfinity has been charging me $10 per month for a TV box I packed away 3 years ago. I never unpacked it and honestly forgot about it but I wasn't aware they were charging me for it all these years until I thoroughly looked into my bill. I went in and Rich listened to everything I had to say and literally credited me the charges and gave me a nice upgrade on my internet! Any other time in my life I'd say no thank you but I work from home so this came in the clutch! Will be returning to talk cable once football starts. Hellish service. As I'm sure many know, it goes down quite often. The prices are insanely expensive...and go up & up & up! When I moved into my new apartment in May, it took them 4 visits to get my service hooked up. :( When I called to cancel my service, the lady started yelling at me. I was sitting at my desk at work so was normal & calm...it was a very strange experience. I finally said to her - I'm sorry, but you are being very mean to me. I'm going to go in person to cancel. I'm way sad they closed the Rolling Meadows location where it wasn't an insane wait and the staff was all super friendly. This location is a nightmare. It's so incredibly busy and employees are hit or miss. When I walked in on a weekday, I was told the wait was 40 minutes and they tried to convince me not to wait. He said I could mail in my equipment & call to cancel. Heck nah I ain't going through the phone nightmare again. The wait ended up being 1 hour & 20 minutes, not 40...so whatever wait they tell you, double it. I am so thankful I am now in an area where I have options other than this monopolizing horror company. Closed my account and went to drop off my equipment at a Comcast store. The clerk was nice; scanned the device and told me I would have to wait. Why do I need to wait? I should be able to give my account number(actually they should be able to pull it off the equipment scan) and they should deal with logging that I returned the equipment on their own time. read more

Worst place to shop. Never recommend to F&F. People here were so nice if your planning to buy and vice versa when you need help on any existing service. They help me to setup new Xfinity mobile account anf offered ipad in a discounted rate. I felt for that and they order since they don't have stock. Item delivered in 2 days via fedex shipping. When I unwrap the plastic it surprise me. Ipad have side damage and reported by calling Xfinity. They suggested me to check with store for quick response. Over the last few years I have had great service using Xfinity in the Hoffman Estates area. Where customer services used to be complicated, they have now stocked their store with staff to help you in person for almost all of your needs. Though I've had to return 2 routers in the last 2 years, both times were hassle free and in and out in less than 5 minutes with no questions. I actually left with a better, cheaper plan last time. Plus, not they have their routers set up to activate almost plug and play. There are only a few steps on the app and we are good to go. read more

I know I'm going to eat crow on this 4-star rating in 12 months when I forget to cancel our service before our rate increases to a zillion dollars a month, but this store took care of our minor issue and gave me candy in return so we're friends now. And it wasn't just any candy, yo. It was freakin' Red Hots. Do you know how much I love those spicy, cinnamon-y gems? Like thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis much (which is a lot compared to how much I like most things). We also got a glasses wipe-y cloth and vouchers for free White Sox tickets, and though I hate sports and will likely never use them, it was a nice gesture and the woman who gave them to us spoke to me like my boyfriend was a single Dad and I was his slow child, but for whatever reason I really liked it... maybe it was just the candy talking though. We initially came here because Comcast sent us a giant-ass box of stuff we explicitly asked them not to send, as our place is about the size of a toddler's thumbnail and we don't have room any excess of sh*t we don't absolutely need. So they sent us this giant box of multiple cable boxes for whatever reason... as if we could afford multiple televisions or a place large enough to house them, and said we needed to return them to the store, which just so happened to be in the same strip mall as The Men's Warehouse (where my dude needed to get fitted for a tux) and REI (where I like to d*ck around for hours on end) so I knew that no matter what our visit to Xfinity entailed, that the trip as a whole wouldn't be a total loss. Inside the store is like a mix of the Verizon and Microsoft stores and the staff working on a Sunday midday were wholly inviting and pleasant and even though the store was packed, we maybe waited a total of 18 seconds before we got assigned a member of the staff to help us out and give me candy. I realize that I might be the first person ever to not have a completely horrid experience with Comcast, and if I die and that's my claim to fame I'd be okay with it... plus I have basic cable... so there's that. read more

Sooo I walk in, try to explain to the guy at the counter what I was told this past Sunday, and am told I can't see Aletha K in front of anyone else because it's "special treatment." (Well, RIGHT...IF you didn't know the story, buuut you didn't ask, sooo if you're going to be a presumptuous d!ck who jumps straight to conclusions, let me school you...). Jag. I show him her card and reiterate what I was told. He tells me he doesn't have the "authority" to expedite the process for me. I ask to speak to a manager or supervisor, then, because this is NOT what was communicated to me when I wasted 2 hours of my life here on Sunday. He goes off to the back room and comes back saying that Aletha K isn't even there. Ridiculous. So, sooo ridiculous. So how long am I going to wait now? "5 minutes" is what I'm told. (My name isn't spelled "Genifer" either, dude.) The wait was a bit more, of course. The nice female rep I saw, though, deescalated things a bit with a speedy transaction that only required a signature, no late charge applied, and no dumb questions about why I was there.. Done and DONE. The other bright side is that the Comcast repair dude who came out a few days ago fixed the issue and made sure I wouldn't be charged. He and the female rep (today) are the ONLY reason I'm retaining 3 stars here; otherwise I'd be on the 1-star bandwagon with everyone else. read more

I went into the Xfinity store in Schaumburg and wanted to know where my phones were. Long story short after several hours I had two people who helped figure out what was going on with my phones. I'd like to say that Joe Baumgartner and Jaden Mirrakhimov were incredibly helpful and persevered through the four hours that I was there. Thank you so much to Joe and Jaden for what they helped me with that today. Got there exactly at 12 noon (when they opened) and there was already a wait (I was number 21) it took about 40 minutes but service was quick and painless. Even got to upgrade to The X1 system at no additional charge! Whohoo! Only drawback is to install the appointments are 2 weeks out but then again gives me time to get all of the DVR shows watched before I don't have them anymore. I haven't experienced the negatives I always hear about Comcast. They have always been responsive and friendly IMHO. read more

I went in with some questions about my bill, bc they had decreased my contract discount and raised my service price. And I wanted to find out why. The female manager (dark brown hair: I don't know her name). She was screaming at me from across the room, basically telling me that I should be happy with my bill since I'm not paying more than I am. (I use their internet service only.). She was extremely Condescending towards me. I will never go back here.. I'd rather have no internet than ever deal with her or that store or company again. I'd never talk to any customer the way she "talked" with me. I left the store in tears. I want xfinity the company to contact me, I've tried to contact them. Comcast management needs to train well their staff before doing their job correctly. *** I have called to customer service as a new customer to set up a new service, the person took all my information including my social and promised set it up new service by next day. I have never received their item or contacted by service guys however I have started receiving a bills. After receiving a 2 bills called support team and explain, the lady on the phone told me that it's all cancelled and balance is 0.00. Totally forgot about that. However after a few month I have received a letter saying that Comcast send all my information to collections. I was like how??? This is so unprofessional. Called back to comcast again and every time I was told sir ur balance is 0 but still can't resolve this issue.
